Sorceress Level 6
+1 Fort, +1 Ref, +1 Will
+1 BAB
HP: 6+1 = 42
4 × 3rd Level Spells
Summon Monster III
Sirasa will ask about taking the "Belt of Incredible Dexterity", since armor is out of the question. That is, if it doesn't make more sense for another.

Ordrud |

Harek, both your preferred items are preferred by Ordrud who only has regular banded and heavy shield.
In character, Ordrud will let you take them. Out of character, splitting them would be more fair, right?
Cheers

Cleric Level 6
+1 BAB
+1 F +1 W +1 R
Healer's Blessing (Su): At 6th level, all of your cure spells are treated as if they were empowered, increasing the amount of damage healed by half (+50%). This does not apply to damage dealt to undead with a cure spell. This does not stack with the Empower Spell metamagic feat.
3rd level spell-Daylight
2nd level spell-silence

Harek Ironshirt |

No worries.
If you would like the armor, have at it, I will gladly take your current set.
It's still an upgrade for me.

Ordrud |

Harek, take the Banded +1. It'll give you a +2 to AC. Ordrud can take the shield for the +1 AC. It's better IC, because Ordrud is sentimental about his armor.
thanks
6th level choices:
- Mercy = Diseased, so he can effectively Remove Disease
- Heal 1 rank
- Perception 1 rank

GM has some periods of inactivity, mostly due to weird work schedules or family timea.
Not to worry, DRB is one of the most reliable and prolific GMS on the board.

DM Papa.DRB |

Well, home phone and internet are back. It has been intermittently failing for a week, and finally a hard fail Sunday afternoon and was out till late Monday afternoon, when Verizon replaced the exterior box on the house. Up for an hour when there was a local area failure and we lost home phone and internet again till about thirty minutes ago. sigh. I'll have a post later this evening, unless it goes out again...

Ordrud |

46?! Wow! Congratulations. Makes my 19 look short.
@players
Egs, do you want to stealthily scout the corridor? Let's attempt to maintain surprise as long as possible.
cheers

Harek Ironshirt |

I'm good with surprise and stealth, so long as we can maintain it.
No sense announcing our presence before necessary.

DM Papa.DRB |

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. We did, visited with both kids and both grandkids.
The only problem was, yesterday (Sunday), the youngest (6 years old) of my sons four dogs crossed the Rainbow Bridge in his sleep. Everyone is very broken up over it. Mercer was the "big galoot" of the pack, and my dog, Amarillo, best friend and playmate.
Mercer (left) & Amarillo (right)
Will have a post in an hour or so moving the game forward.

Condolences here as well. It is hard to lose a loved one, no matter how many legs they have.

Ordrud |

Since there are only three and casting a spell will alert them to our presence, I'd suggest we rush inside with Egs or Ordrud leading. Sirasa can start casting in the surprise round if it looks like we need help. If if we don't need the combat help, the lanterns can heal too.
If a back row caster doesn't have open/close prepared, Egs could open the door allowing the two frontliners to rush the room for the surprise round.
Cheers

Sirasa could always move back away out of ear shot and cast the Summon Monster. She doesn't have Open/Close. But she does have Mage Hand. So there are options. But Sirasa is fine following Ordrud's lead. Initiate the action. Sirasa will respond to the situation.

Ordrud |

We prefer "frontliners." No sense directing attention to our weight.
;p

Ordrud |

Egs, you want to sneak attack to signal the heavies to rush the room?

Rask Kotri Delvedeep |

Hi Guys!
Sorry for disappearing like I did. Work became a mess, and every day I wanted to get back in the gaming saddle, but couldn't.
I hope you can forgive me.
In any case, I just wanted to wish you all Merry Christmas and a very happy new year. I hope 2016 brings you games, adventure and fun.
Give those Drow hell in Rask's name, and I hope we game again soon!

![]() |

Good hearing from you Rask. We all can relate how life gets in the way from time to time.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Good fortune in your future gaming.

Ordrud |

With the long lag until our next GM post, let's discuss a bit of strategy.
How are we going to treat the lady's captive husband? He's being held by the guys who seem more than happy letting us slog our way through the drow.
Are we going to follow their advice? How can we get them to help?
cheers

Lothalian Sybellus |

Interesting question. We rolled real good on our diplomacy/intimidate checks, but the dice gods are finicky and when we meet the next group, that will be when we start rolling 1's. If this group can help us out in that regard, I think we should try it. The question then becomes will the next group believe us. I think letting them keep their weapons helped with this group, might it help with other groups. Of course showing them some severed drow heads might help as well (that is, if they are as ill-disposed to drow as this group.)
I vote we ask them for help in turning the other groups and follow their advice.

Harek Ironshirt |

I move at 20, so unless someone is slower than me, 16 miles/day under unobstructed terrain is my max.
If you're moving at 30, that's 24 miles/ day.
Only way someone can keep up easily is to move at 40 or higher while foraging. Either that or push on longer than 8 hours a day.

DM Papa.DRB |

Watches: If I have this wrong, let me know and I'll change it. This is for the Galekin Estate only. Other times may / may not change.
1st - Lothalian and Sirasa
2nd - Harek and Ordrud
3rd - Esgalwathel and Miah
Each watch also has two of the retainers (warrior 2) and one of the hunters (warrior 1) for a total of five on each watch.
During the night, you patrol around the house with two - two person teams, leaving one person by the front door, ready to wake others of needed.
During the day, more folks are up and about and try to repair portions of the wall that are in bad shape.
I will move the story forward Monday morning with the above unless told different.

Harek Ironshirt |

Looks good to me, except Harek was planning on staying up all night, one his watch comes up.
Sleep rest of the day, start watch around 2230-2300, stay on watch til 0630-0700.
Basically pulling a double shift (mids/days) the following day.

Esgalwathel Ninaelil |
Ugh. Still feeling pretty lousy. But I think I'm coherent enough to get some posts together. Been taking care of sick toddlers while sick doesn't leave much energy (physical or mental) to catch up on PbP. I've fallen asleep while crafting posts several times, only to have the situations change by the time I wake. Hope to have something up soon.

DM Papa.DRB |

I retired 6+ years ago, and was hoping that the drama in my life was over. Well, there is a little still at church, and at my four hour a week part time job, but that is at a quite acceptable level. What I did not want nor need is drama in my role playing hobby.
Yesterday morning, I received a PM from one player saying they were dropping out. I PM back asking why, and they PM back saying it was player v. player drama. Then my wife and I left the house for a while to watch my daughter and grand daughter in the local St. Patrick Day parade, and when I get back there is a PM from the other player offering to drop out also and I am accepting that offer.
Without getting too crude or vulgar, I really do not need this crap. Kazmir and Rask dropped without a word, and Rask was replaced. Now Ordrud and Sirasa are gone, and Esgalwathel is having issues being able to post regularly so three out of five are missing.
I swear this adventure is cursed. This is what I was running when my home table broke up, my fault, as I am getting too old (68+) and tired to have folks over every week, and now this adventure is having problems here in PbP format.
I spent much of last night laying in bed awake deciding what to do, and when I made this decision, what to say, so here it is. I am calling off this game, removing everyone from "active player" list and marking the game inactive so it does not appear in your lists anymore.

Rask Kotri Delvedeep |

Sorry for disappearing... it was a nice game while it lasted (and I could participate on it).
I have been in the other side of the table, and it feels bad. But don't despair!
Yes sometimes life gets in the middle, but what you gave us, a change to play and have fun, was good.
Thank you, and good luck.

Esgalwathel Ninaelil |
I am _so_ sorry for disappearing. I had a series of life implosion and am just now getting everything stable again.
I am not going to go into detail, suffice to say that I dropped a bunch of balls and these boards were one of them.
I hope you all can forgive me. I hope to return to PbP games in the future and would love to do so here. I don't think my life is together enough yet, but I look forward to the time when it is.
