Round *pant* 5, Init *pant, pant* 13
Mukluk *pant* continues to hustle *pant* to Tiabrar, double moving to T40.
Ah, now...*pant*...I can see them. *pant* Now I get to watch them *pant* hack apart the elf.

Doruk runs (straight line down the path 3x move) to T39 huffing a little on the way in his heavy armor.
Need to get to the elf before there's nothing left! Why didn't the elf back up as he shot?!

10 Doruk :
The orcs filter onto the deer trail, as three of them chortle with glee as they surround Aralynn. The fourth orc stows his falchion, pulls out a curved horn and blows it.... Arooooo His head sways like a ship at sea as his eyes glimmer in the moonlight with malice.

O3 vs P: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 for 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 3) + 4 = 10
Petrel can post 2 rounds of actions, Orc#3's attack only happens if he still stands after Petrel's Round 5 action.
EDIT - Confirming the falchion vs Tiabrar:
O1 vs T (crit confirm): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 for 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (2, 1) + 4 = 7
The first orc to meet Tiabrar slices across the elf's chest before he has a chance to parry. You all watch as Tiabrar staggers backwards a step and wonder if he's still alive.
A similar swing from the orc atacking Petrel bites into his leather armor, but doesn't strike skin.
Don't forget, it's all low-light right now, with only the moonlight as a source of light.

Mukluk Muletender |

Round 5, Init 13
Grumble.
Mukluk moves to T37.
Casting a spell, Mukluk unleashes Glitterdust at TU:27/28, getting O1 and O4 in the effect (DC 17 Will).
Bah. Daft elf.

DM Panic |

O1 Will vs GD: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4
O4 Will vs GD: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
A cloud of sparkling, golden dust springs into existence, descending on a pair of the orcs. They snarl in rage in their confusion, banging the flat of their falchions against their spiked helms.
Both are blinded for Rounds 6-8.
Which as we learned with a certain vampire, means no Withdraw, half movement, as well as -2AC and the loss of their Dex bonus (which unfortunately was +0). These orcs are now AC11.

Doruk |

Round 6, Initiative 10, Location T51 -> T34
Weapon Equipped = Guisarme & Shield
Conditions = Bull's Strength (+2 to hit/damage/CMB)
Doruk charges in and attacks O2 at last!
Guisarme power attack 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 2 + 2 = 24 doing 2d4 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 + 2 = 13 damage.
"Get off my elf you ground pig!"

Petrel |

I suppose Petrel will fight with his daggers both rounds. He has the magical bloodthirsty one and the fancy looking masterwork. I am assuming the "blood thirsting" properties of the magic dagger are in addition to a +1, but if it is working on a pre-PF weapon enchant system let me know.
Round 5
Two knives no sneak 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 131d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Two knives no sneak 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 141d4 ⇒ 1
Round 6
Two knives no sneak 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 111d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Two knives no sneak 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 141d4 ⇒ 2

Tiabrar |

Round 5, Init delay to 9, U-32 to T-37
AC 17, touch 13, flat-footed 14 (+4 armor, +3 Dex)
hp 4/21
Fort +4, Ref +6, Will +1
Immune sleep; Resist Elven Immunities, Poison Resistance +2
Tiabrar looks down at the huge slash across his chest and pauses to take in his situation.
Female voice: You're frak'd.
Yes. I know.
Having analyzed the situation, he delays for the assistance of friends who will surely leap from their hiding spots to help him now. They weren't exactly hiding, but they do come to his assistance.
Female voice: Still frak'd.
I know. I know.
Tiabrar withdraws U-32 (10'), U33 (10'), T-34 (10'), to T-37 (15').

DM Panic |

The dagger breaks Pathfinder RAW, it begins as a masterwork dagger (+1 hit, +0 damage) until it hits the first time, upon which it becomes a +1 dagger for hit/damage. Upon a second stab against the same target, it's a full +2, then the third hit a full +3. When said target dies, the dagger returns back to masterwork and the cycle can repeat.
Round 5
Petrel begins stabbing at his orc opponent, plunging his blade into it's gut twice. With each wound, he feels his weapon's hunger both growing yet being satiated.
Round 5 --
19 Petrel : Hits twice for -5HP
Round 6 --

Round 6

5 Orc2 (DEAD):
5 Orc3 (-7HP): Attacks Petrel
5 Orc4 : Attacks Martigan
5 "R": Crits Doruk for -23HP
Martigan strides forward and with a single definitive swing, bashes the blinded orc down into a lifeless heap on the ground.
The other one next to the cleric snarls and strikes forward towards where it believes it's foe is (1=S31, 2=T31, 3=U31).
1d3 ⇒ 3

It's falchion comes down at Martigan...
O4vMa: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 for 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 4) + 4 = 11
... and repels off the cleric's shield just in time.
Another orc swings his falchion at Petrel. This orc is clearly winded and works to hide the effort behind his snarls. The agile rogue from Greyhawk nimbly steps aside.
The final orc, his armor and helm bearing even more spikes than the others, draws back his longbow and launches a single sheaf arrow at Doruk's position.
O3vP: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 for 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 3) + 4 = 8

RvD (crit confirm): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 for 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
The arrow screams through the air and there's a cacophonous sound of metal on metal as it penetrates the chest area of Doruk's banded mail and strikes him directly in the breast. The Shieldland warrior has to take a step back just to continue standing.
The orc archer captain can clearly be heard chortling to himself.
Now Up: Every gets to act for Round 7.

Doruk |

Round 7, Initiative 10, Location T34 -> T32
Weapon Equipped = Guisarme & Shield
Conditions = Bull's Strength (+2 to hit/damage/CMB)
Doruk goes down nearly to one knee from the blow. He looks down at his chest and snarls in anger and annoyance. He gauges the distance between them and see's he cannot close it this round so he moves to strike the blind orc.
"Martigan, we Tiabrar and I need healing. As much as you can muster, and quickly or you'll face the leader alone!"
Guisarme combat expertise & power attack 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 6 + 2 = 21 doing 2d4 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 + 2 = 15 damage.
I may be mangled, but I can still fight.

Mukluk Muletender |

Ugh. Longbows are x3 crits, I believe. Remember Doruk, this is all Tiabrar's fault. Explain that to Aralynn when you see her in line waiting for Charon (If you don't see her in line, look for her to be gleefully splashing in the river Styx...can't keep her away from water).
Round 7, Init 13
Mukluk moves to S36, hoping that the trees will provide cover from the archer who hates glaive-users.
Mukluk will cast Stumble Gap, (DC 16) at O4 (T30) to help Martigan with his fight.

Doruk |

Ugh. Longbows are x3 crits, I believe. Remember Doruk, this is all Tiabrar's fault. Explain that to Aralynn when you see her in line waiting for Charon (If you don't see her in line, look for her to be gleefully splashing in the river Styx...can't keep her away from water).
"Martigan, we Tiabrar and I need healing. As much as you can muster, and quickly or you'll face the leader alone!"
"Oops, too late... gurgle, gurgle, gurgle."
Doruk drops on the crit in T34, still alive, but unconscious and wheezing. No damage will be done by Doruk this round. I await the third roll to see how negative I am.

Tiabrar |

Round 7
Seeing Doruk go down with a single shot, Tiabrar can't help but admire the marksmanship.
Nice shot.
Female voice: Agreed, but it should have been the dwarf.
Tiabrar takes a 5' step to T-36, pulls out his longbow and shoots at O4.
Darkwood Longbow +7 + pointblank
1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 1 = 16
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Petrel |

Petrel will have another go at the Orc adjacent to him. Believe dagger must be +3 at the moment.
Bloodthirsty +3 no sneak 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 221d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Masterwork no sneak 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 251d4 ⇒ 4
Stupid elf. I thought they were supposed to be stealthy. He better not get our mercenary killed our mercenary killed or it will come out of his treasure share.

DM Panic |

Drat. I hate messing up damage to a party member. It's my mistake though, so this longbow arrow only did X2 damage and Doruk is still alive (barely).
O4 Ref DC16 vs Stumble Gap: 1d20 ⇒ 15.
Direction (1=N, 2=NE..): 1d8 ⇒ 8
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Blinded and angry, the orc facing off with Martigan heaves his falchion back over his head for a massive swing. In rhythm with the orc's attack, Mukluk times his spell - a dimensional cap appearing the orc's heels. The Pomarj warrior's eyes buldge in surprise as he stumbles backward hard onto his back.
O4 is prone in S,29
Martigan's up...

DM Panic |

Doruk concealment: 1d100 ⇒ 87
Petrel concealment #1: 1d100 ⇒ 56
Petrel concealment #2: 1d100 ⇒ 26
Technically the 3 damage from the Stumble Gap and the 15 from Doruk will kill Orc #4, although Martigan acts ahead of Doruk in Initiative.
I'm guessing Martigan will 5ft step away and channel energy or cast a cure on Doruk, so round #7 should work out just fine.
Round 7
19 Petrel : Kills orc #2
18 Tiabrar : Fires at the orc captain, hits for -6HP
13 Mukluk : Stumble Gap knocks orc #3 prone
11 Martigan : TBD
10 Doruk : Kills orc #3
5 "R": (-6HP): Narrowly misses Doruk
Petrel can almost feel the blade in his hand throbbing with excitement, and he pictures it whispering more, more, more... in his mind. With a flurry of blades, each sinking into the gut, Petrel's foe gurgles for a moment and flops forward as the rogue sidesteps away.
Tiabrar's arrow lands into the shoulder of the orc archer with a thud.
The orc captain sneers, stretching his neck, and draws another arrow to fire at Doruk down the road.
R vs D: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16 for 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Doruk, years of training with his shield engrained in his mind, reflexively brings his shield up in time as the arrow thunks into it - it's head having pierced through several inches. If he were any slower, Doruk realizes he would be dead.
Actually everyone can go since Round 8 has began, Martigan can act twice.

As the group converges on the orc, and Martigan mends Doruk's wounds, the captain snarls and beats his chest with both hands, discarding his bow. You're not quite sure what goes on inside an orc's mind, but at this point it should clearly understand it's situation is dire and it's surrounded.
After dropping it's bow, it begins charging directly at Doruk, unstrapping a falchion of it's own to bring down onto the Shieldlander.
I'm going to use Doruk's earlier attack as his AoO.
The orc doesn't expect the injured Doruk to be as quick in defense, and a look of surprise washes over his face as he impales himself on the guisarme. The creature grunts, nostrils flaring, as it pulls itself deeper onto the guisarme to close the gap between it and Doruk.
Finally, it brings the falchion down as it originally intended, the guisarme's end protruding several feet from it's back side.

DM Panic |

Doruk's swing is the final swing of the battle as he slashes across the orc captain's neck and ends it's remaining life.
Combat is over!
The orcs are each carrying falchions and longbows (along with 90 arrows). Each each wore distinctive studded leather armor, where the studs were spikes, along with leather helms that also each featured a spike at the crest.
Checking the trail out, you see the orcs were carrying the fresh bodies of two large elks.
You cobble together 72gp from their bodies.

Doruk |

"Quickly, let's prepare ourselves for another battle. That horn blast may have summoned the other orcs from their fortress. They may be bearing down on us right now!"
Doruk is a little over-excited yet from the near death strokes of the combat. He eyes the fortress in the dim light...
"Tiabrar, can you see anything? Mukluk how about you?"

Doruk |

"Mukluk after you've picked them gather over here, I'll heal us up."
"Thanks muchly for the healing Martigan. I'd be dead if it weren't for your ministrations and that's the truth!"
Feeling much better Doruk gathers his bow from where he dropped it, and replaces the few arrows he shot with orcish ones (assuming Tiabrar says they're OK).

Mukluk Muletender |

Mukluk will join the others in picking over the bodies of the dead orcs, taking out his pick and nailing each orc in the forehead "just to be sure, sometimes they come back".
Mukluk will then a few moments to watch for any indications that more enemies are coming, using his dwarfsight and mulling over how to handle the elf's decision making capacities.
Cast Detect Magic on the captain's gear.

Mukluk Muletender |

Mukluk waits for about 1/2 hour, watching from pretty far away.
I bet they are swimming out the secret exit under the waterfall.
* * *
If nothing happens, Mukluk will return to camp and try to go back to bed after checking in with the others.
I need sleep to propel my magicks.

Tiabrar |

Tiabrar (20/21 HP) admires the orc's bow, but sees it is far beyond his ability to use. He gathers up the arrows to bring back to camp.
"That went well. I might have stayed a bit too close, but it's good to get the heart racing."
"Doruk, I'm glad your heart is still beating at all. I was sure that one arrow had gone through it."
Tiabrar waits in the woods with Mukluk, whispering, "A dwarf mage. Who would have thought? Next thing you know I'll be seeing gnome paladins."

Mukluk Muletender |

"Gnome paladin? Hah! Never. We would know of such things for the World itself would cry out in mocking laughter. Such abominations should not exist." Mukluk says, thankful that such things don't exist in the normal world.
Mukluk laughs a bit, but then gets serious.
"Elf, you shot fine and shot true, but you nearly killed Doruk." Mukluk looks the elf in the eye. "I don't like it when my people die..even the elves. Try not to get us killed. I swear that if I die because of you, I'm coming back to haunt you in your mind."
There's plenty of room up there, it seems.

Doruk |

Doruk takes the bow from Tiabrar. "If you can't use it, I can. We can always sell it later as I don't use it much and it has great value. But for now at least..."
Doruk unstrings and stows his bow on the cart and tests the new one.
I like this. Too bad I'm not much of an archer...

Doruk |

"Martigan, if you will be refreshed in the morning, I could use more healing tonight. I think tomorrow may be a tough day of fighting and I'd like to be at my best."
HP: 23/28
Doruk helps gather up the gear from the orcs. He pushes their remains off the path into the trees as well, not so much to hide them, but rather to allow for cleaner passage in the morning.
Upon returning to camp, he cleans himself up as much as he is able with soap and water, and tends to his weapons. He pays special attention to his new bow - making sure it is clean and well oiled.
After his watch competes, he takes some much needed rest during the third watch... sleeping soundly.

Martigan the Sun-Touched |

"Worry not Doruk, I have more power to spare yet. Tiabrar you shot well, and Petrel and Doruk you were masters of your craft. Mukluk that was very noteworthy pick work. Hey, where did this pit come from?"

DM Panic |

A clap of thunder rumbles across the darkened skies this night, warning those who would dare to mock gnomekind.
Just in case the first thunderclap went unheeded, a flash of lightning arcs down through the sky and is followed by another piercing rumble moments later.
Then the rain begins, pouring down and obscuring sight.
Cats can be heard howling and dogs can be heard barking back in the main camp, and your return finds Gambli rushing from tent to tent to tie them down tighter.
"Ye're back! Good to see ye were all unharmed!" he grins.
No orcs come rushing down, up to you guys for the next move.
