If the hard corner protects from the AoO, Araylnn will fire from where she is. Otherwise she will move 5' to M7--assuming I can shoot out of the edge of the cloud without penalty. Aralynn begins with Q and moves to T if Q is/goes down.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 Know (arcana) on the Krenshar

What an ugly dog! Must be a relative of Araly--, Mukluk's thought is cut short by the precision thrust from the balding man.

Mukluk's Status:

HP: -1/8
AC: 12 (13 with shield)
Status: unconscious
Effects:
Acids Used/Left: 0/6

1---
"Q" - stabs Mukluk
"T" - misses Mukluk
"K" - frightens Petrel
"D" - tosses a smokestick
Doruk 13 - slices "Q" for -7HP
Martigan 12 - channels +6HP to all (Muk to -1)
Petrel 11 - runs, tumbles past "Q"
Aralynn 11 - misses twice
Mukluk 5 - stable from healing

Doruk's retaliation is swift against the large man with the longsword, as his guisarme tears a wound from the man's shoulder down to his abdomen.

Martigan's healing washes over everyone, especially Mukluk, as his wounds mend and his bleeding stops. The dwarf appears to be alive but is unconscious.

Petrel, with a manly cry flees from the room, somersaulting past the rogue into the hallway beyond. The large rogue is too shocked to even swing at the fleeing knife-master.

Aralynn, using the doorway for cover, tries to fire two arrows but both miss as Petrel's acrobatics force her opponent to move deeper into the hallway for a moment while he runs away.

2---
"Q" - Misses Doruk
"T" - Threatens Martigan
"K" - Moves to Doruk, screeches
"D" - Moves to Aralynn, misses
Doruk 13 -
Martigan 12 -
Petrel 11 -
Aralynn 11 -
Mukluk 5 -

The large rogue steps into the room, his large boot crushing Mukluk's beard as he juggles his longsword back and forth between his hands before slashing at Doruk.

"Q" vs Doruk: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

The attack is easily parried by the warrior.

Tyrol, attempting to peer through his swollen eyes, chortles at the defeat of the dwarf that rummaged through his chest. He points his knife at Martigan and says, "Back into the corner healer. Ye'll want no part of this fight."

Tyrol readies an action to attack Martigan if he does not back into (M,3) and lay down his weapons.

"T" vs Martigan (readied, only if you do not comply): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (10) - 2 = 8

If you don't comply, he stabs meekly at you.

The cat creature leaps into the room, growling at Doruk as once again it's skin peels back away from it's face and it screeches.

Doruk gets an AoO as it closes into melee range. But, the bad news...

Doruk, DC12 Will save or also be frightened. Use Charisma instead of Wisdom to modify the roll.

Daylin leaps into the smoke and stabs at Aralynn with his rapier but misses the elusive monk.

"D" vs Aralynn: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Petrel's fright lasts 1d4 ⇒ 4 rounds.

Doruk takes his attack of opportunity on 'K' (combat reflexes?)...
Guisarme attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 doing 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 3) + 4 = 8 damage.

Doruk makes a save vs Fear with Charisma instead of Wisdom on the will...

Doruk 13 - misses
Martigan 12 - misses Q
Petrel 11 - continues fleeing
Aralynn 11 - kicks Q for -4HP
Mukluk 5 - stable

Doruk slices at the cat as it leaps at him, his guisarme raking across it's chest as it lands - it's screech part terror-inspiring and part howl of pain. Doruk's swings at the large rogue are easily side-stepped but guide the man directly into a round house kick from Aralynn.

The large man staggers, bleeding and bruised and coughs up blood.

Round 3

The large man scowls at Aralynn and wheezes, "Ye'll pay for that ye ugly goat."

Q vs A: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Aralynn blocks his swing by knocking aside his wrist - the large man is obviously winded at this point.

Tyrol, unable to come up with anything wittier retorts at Martigan, "Err... no... you're the... dog!"

T vs M: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (7) - 2 = 5

Once again, his dagger thrust completely misses it's mark.

The cat creature, in a furious rage, bites and rakes at Doruk.
Bite (+2 flank): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Claw #1 (+2 flank): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

Martigan 12 : kills Tyrol
Petrel 11 : flees for his last round
Aralynn 11 : TBD
Mukluk 5 : hugs the dirt

Doruk connects once again, his heavy flail sinking into the cat's skull. With a soft whimper, it collapses to the floor.

Simultaneously, Martigan's mace meets Tyrol's jaw, and with a spray of blood, the sickened thief flies back onto his bunk where he can do no more harm.

Several of the other sick thieves gasp in surprise, but take no aggressive actions.

Daylin eyes you all warily and realizing he cannot defeat the three of you by himself, holds up his free hand. "Quarter!"

Female Half-Elf Monk (Zen Archer) 1

Aralynn looks over her shoulder at Mukluk in a heap on the floor."Martigan, would you please see to our employer's representative? It would not due to have him die on us. Especially when the other one ran off to who knows where."

She then turns to Daylin, "We will give you quarter, but you will give us information more than equal to your pitiful life. Start talking and don't finish until we say so. So nice of the other one to return now that the fighting is over. Not sure if he's clueless or just confident in our abilities. At least he carries himself well--when he's here.

Araylnn addresses Petrel and Mukluk, "It's good to see both of you among the present and conscious again. This man was about to tell us everything and I would have hated to have to repeat it. I find it best to obtain information first hand."

The sick men sneak back out from under their covers. You can tell they are attempting to see what happened through their swollen eyes.

Daylin stows his rapier and tells you everything he knows.

"Look, I don't know what there is to tell that you don't already know."

He clears his throat.

"We're the Green Daggers, a guild o' rogues as I'm sure you have guessed. Lots of folk got sick about two weeks back, so Cyrathas was tryin' to work a deal to get us a cure. He brought back some sort of antidote, not sure where he got it from, he's real tight-lipped like that."

At the mention of other things like keys and libraries, he can only shake his head.

"I don't know much 'bout that, I've been here watching things as the sick has been slower comin' to me." He taps his eyes, which are swollen as well, just not as far along as the others in the bunks.

"Only that the boss was supposed to get some outside help since most of the guild is sick. Something 'bout a special job last night."

He frowns and holds out his empty hands.

"Look, the boss is likely to kill me for not trying to finish you all off. When I told Dalta I noticed ye all down here, she said ye were the ones that gave us the disease. The boss is upstairs waitin' for ya in case I failed."

The man looks dejected as he realizes he did fail.

Daylin wants to get out of the guild house, he plans to go to the shrine of Olidamarra and see what they can do about his eyes if you have reason to seek him out later.

When Daylin speaks, what say we head through the O8-9 'secret' door, eh?.

Daylin's eyes glance upward as he attempts to count.

"Uh, Dalta, the boss and the twins. I think that's it. Them's the boss's guards. They all seemed to think if you all's was here, then it was you guys that poisoned the guild, so not sure they're gonna be up t'talking."

Mukluk waves his shield at Doruk and points to the O8/9 door.

"After you, warrior."

With the secret sliding door open to the room beyond from where Daylin and the krenshar emerged, it's not difficult for a couple of you to wander into it and examine it.

The room beyond...

The heavy stench of wet fur hangs in the air of what must have once served as a lavish sitting room for visitors. Two alcoves featuring large stone statues of a portly merchant flank the main doorway into this room. The room is a complete disarray.

Once fine furniture is piled into a broken heap in the center of the room atop a soiled rug. Faint light filters through the boarded up windows.

The only thing of possible noteworthy value here is an old painting of Greyhawk on one wall, possibly as it existed a decade or two ago in a tarnished silver frame.

Updated Map - shows the "kennel".

I believe I'm still awaiting if you guys have any additional light sources, or if you are just taking dim light penalties when they come up...

Presuming you let him go, Daylin excuses himself and heads to his cousin's temple. He doesn't know anything else noteworthy about the boss's guards, he hasn't been in the Green Dagger Guild long - maybe just a few weeks.

No magic was detected by M.M. in any of the rooms you came from or are now exploring.

Two sputtering torches in rusty brackets provide only dim light in what must have once been a grand entry hall. Even now, the fine wall frescos depicting the city of Greyhawk are still visible beneath a thick layer of grime and dust. Above the double doors you pass through is a crudely shaped dagger painted in bright green. A door leading to an unexplored hallway is hall open.

Peering into this hallway, you see it leads to at least four other rooms.

Which door? G15, or double doors at I15-I16?

Petrel will be right behind you.

M.M. spots nothing more in the room (G10).

I'll say Doruk opens the single door first since you guys are nothing but thorough and that leads to the smaller unexplored area.

And, of course, there's this...

As Doruk opens the next door, he prepares himself to do battle with more of the Green Dagger Gang.

Instead, he hears a click and the sound of metal rolling on wood. A large spiked metal sphere emerges from a chute hurtling directly at the Shieldlands warrior.

Spiked sphere trap: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6

With a thud, it glances Doruk's chest, but miraculously the chain links of his armor prevented any injury.

Storeroom

This room (G11) contains a large table stacked with various objects. Numerous weapon racks dot the perimeter of the room and three suits of leather armor rest on combat dummies.

Inventory:

The weapon racks contain 4 rapiers, 8 daggers, 2 light crossbows, and 1 longsword.

Stacked on the table are 2 sets of thieves' tools, 5 vials, 2 smokesticks, 2 bags of caltrops, 50ft of silk rope and a grappling hook.

In the spirit of thoroughness...

The small door to the east at the end of the hallway opens into a small privy. It apparently gets good use and smells fouler than Barge End.

Updated Map - shows the storeroom and privy.

Mukluk stores the gear from G11, carrying what he can, passing out some to others to carry (unless someone wants something).

Not many mages are dwarves and share my ability to carry things.

Mukluk seems sillily proud of something.

Mukluk will stand in H13, waiting for the double doors to open.
