In cosmic near death zone Ugnoth is just chilling with Alaric watching the action.

So A, did you see that guy who took you down? Dropped me in 6 seconds as well....truly vicious.

Bets on who joins us next? Id say Damvorak....this bugger seems smart. What say you?

I suppose it is better we're here than the kids, right?

Whoa, thank Gorum you made that roll... I didn't realize you only had a 10 Con and thought there would be time for Sad or Damvorak to stabilize you at -9 before you croaked.

Update coming...

Looks like we're still missing a Round 3 action from Ramli...

Round 3 Con't
6 Ugnoth : Nearly croaks, but clings desperately to life
5 Damvorak : (in K21), misses Asar twice (once due to loss of Ugnoth's performance)
4 Ramli :

Round 4
24 Alaric : Snoozes
21 Sad Rock : Advances to K23, misses
13 Asar :

Ugnoth's performance comes to a halting end while Damvorak and Sad Rock close in on the final skeleton. The skeleton's chainmail appears to be very finely crafted and absorbs most of the swings of both the half-orc and oread, who seem slightly distracted at the lack of oration from Ugnoth.

Still Up: Ramli

Whoops, sorry for the delay folks.

"Bastard! Don't worry, Ugnoth, we'll avenge you," Ramli says to the fallen Pathfinder, not sure if he's even breathing or not.

Stepping back, he casts quickly, sending a beam of coruscating energy toward the skeleton.

Round 4
24 Alaric : Snoozes
21 Sad Rock : Advances to K23, misses
13 Asar : Hits or misses Sad Rock for 14 damage (depending on shield, which I think is sadly stowed)
6 Ugnoth : Stable at -9
5 Damvorak :
4 Ramli :

Round 5
24 Alaric :
21 Sad Rock :

Ramli's arcane ray goes wide as he just can't seem to time when and where to launch it into the melee (missed due to -4 penalty from target being in melee)

Asar glances to his left and seeing the large swathe of grease, chuckles at how it seems to provide him some sort of defense against his two adversaries wielding bludgeoning weapons.

"Perhaps you will serve me better in undeath than you seem to in life... "

The blue-eyed skeleton turns towards Sad and eyes him with curiosity.

"You... you seem to be just the sort of monster I need..."

Asar slashes at Sad Rock, working to slay him so that he can be reborn an even greater monster (14 damage to Sad if he was 2H on his club, or a miss if he was using his shield).

To punctuate his offer, the skeleton turns to Damvorak, perhaps a mixture of concern over the half-orc's repeated attacks with a blunt weapon along with his divine orientations.

Kassen's sarcophagus is open, and the lid is lying next to it. His body is intact, save for the broken links of a chain that lie around his neck - perhaps remnants of a medallion he once wore that had been torn from his body.

Kassen is dressed in magnificent full plate (that radiates magic) and his longsword is finely detailed and held cluthed against his chest.

As you step up and glance at his body, a ghostly apparition shimmers into view.

Picture of Kassen's ghost

"Heroes, I am Ekat Kassan. I want to thank you for all that you have done and for defeating the risen form of my long ago enemy, Asar Vergas..."

Kassen's ghost floats over and looks down upon the scorched skull that was both his longtime ally and enemy.

"Asar and I were once adventuring companions long ago and we did come into quite a bit of treasure in our day and age. After I retired, years passed but he felt cheated in some way as if I had denied him something and came to attack the town that I founded that bears my name still to this very day. It is in his defeat those decades ago that the spirit of cooperation was born and the ritual of lighting the Everflame began."

Kassen floats back over to his sarcophagus.

"I do not know why bandits came to the Crypt of the Everflame recently, but they stole the two amulets that both myself and Asar wore in life. These two pieces were two of the three keys to a great treasure that we never claimed ..."

The ghost appears to lean down into his sarcophagus and as he does so, several items that apparently were once Kassen's float and land at your feet.

"I doubt that Asar can rise yet again, and for that deed, you have my thanks and my offer of these small tokens as a reward."

Floating Items:

A bag of holding (type I), a +1 bashing shield, an elemental gem (water), and one scale from his armor for each PC.

"These scales will protect you some day in the future in a time of great need..."

His ghostly form begins to flicker and fade from sight along with his ghostly voice.

"Fare thee well, heroes... You are definitely heroes and not mons..."

With things settling down and the promise that her brother Roldare is upstairs and well Dimira takes Ramli by the hand and leads him towards one of the side crypts.

Here, the light is dim and Ramli prepares himself to receive possibly a future reward...

Dimira stops and gestures towards the ground and some rubble.

"Here, this is where Asar was buried. This was his sarcophagus."

As Ramli glances down, he can recognize the shattered remains that once interred the skeleton, along with the corpse of a masked man nearby.

"He... that is, Asar. Kept bragging how he choked the life from this man as he rose into unlife."

Ramli kneels and investigates the gray-robed man in the iron mask.

Picture of iron mask

Knowledge Religion DC15:

This is a mask of a follower of the cult of Razmir

Ramli also discovers a backpack near the man's body.

Backpack:

First a note that reads: The amulets are entombed with Kassen and Asar.

And then these items: wand of magic missile (CL 3rd, 22 charges), bracers of armor +1, a horn of fog, 354 gp in newly minted coins, and a spellbook that contains the following spells: cause fear, enlarge person, expeditious retreat, false life, levitate, mage armor, magic
missile, ray of enfeeblement, and all wizard cantrips.

Feel free to copy these to your spellbook as part of this adventure, paying the appropriate cost for scribing.

Sheepishly, Dimira kicks a foot, smiles, and makes an inquiry to the magus as he explores the side crypt.

"Well... do you see anything that piques your interest here?"
