@GM Nex: is it safe to assume that the smithy has more than enough breastplates for Grilnik and Bethany? xD

I for one think having a shopping montage with a few facts here and there is the way to go for spending coin... Well, maybe if we could afford a magic item, then that might be nice to RP xD

Yes, any mundane or masterwork items are easily obtainable. Its when we get into Magic items things get stingy.

If the gems work for Verik that's fine. We can leave it in the party loot.

Updated champaign page: Link

Added quest to take care of kobolds.
Crossed out quests you have finished
Added all special magic items for sale in town. Since you have had time to see them all.

And don't worry, you will have a good enough reason to enter the wizard's manor a bit later.

Hmm... I might consider bumping into Rouge and dabbling into the Arcane Trickster Prestige class.

Plus the 12 skill ranks per level is very tempting...

But alas I could never truely achieve Imortality... Through the means of a feat.

I've been looking into "Imortality" and frankly there are quite a few different ways to achieve Imortality.
Several magic items, spells, and even possible class features grant abilities where one does not age anymore.

Ah, I knew I had forgotten something while shopping: I'll use our slush fund to pay for the night we just spent (Which'll be 25sp)

BTW, if anyone wants suggestions: cold iron and/or silver weapons? (mithral counts as silver btw)
Alchemist's Fire?
Acid?
Bandoliers? >:D
Potions/oils/acid/alchemist's fire/daggers fit in bandoliers...

Also holy water is probably good if you can't channel energy like Grilnik or Vors... actually at this level maybe holy water is good anyway xD

Hmm... So If Xemnes tonics is a potion store... Nah, I'm buying 10 vials of oil(aka cheap alchemist fire), a Mule(or donkey, whatever), An Adventurer's sash(Fancy bandolier), a scroll box, a pack saddle for the Mule, 2 bags of Caltrops, and a masterwork backpack (extra carrying capacity is always nice :P), and... I don't know... Seems everyone else is getting the practical stuff and I'm just being a pack rat.

... Oh yes, extra saddle bags!, And like a few tindertwigs(5 to be exact)

Heh, Grilnik would be grabbing lots of tools and things, but he's friends with a pack-rat (or should I type it? RATMAN!!! nanana nanananana nanana nanananana!)

Grilnik will be trading in his backpack and scale mail for an extra 36gp and buying a Masterwork Backpack, a Breastplate, 3 Javelins, 2 Bandoliers (16 slots total), a Cold Iron Dagger, 2 vials of Alchemist's Fire, 4 vials of Acid, a Potion of Cure Light Wounds, and a vial of Holy Water.
He'll keep 6gp and 4pp for later xD

Which reminds me, GM Nex said 100pp from the temple of Abadar should be doable...

I vote Beth take it so that she has the best reason to be in front :P
Also, at third level, Grilnik can upgrade the earthbreaker to masterwork with a spell (and 300gp) :D

From looking over everyone's shopping lists, I don't see any issue adding those. I trust you on purchase prices. Most of these are standard costs.

I will say, any mundane items are easily purchased. Anything magical will require a bit of rollplay (outside of standard potions).

Unless of course you want to learn more about a shop or something. If you ever want more info, we can play that out.

The only iffy item is the Cold Iron weapon, but since its still considered mundane (not even masterwork) I am going to hand wave it.

So feel free to make your purchases!

Also, It's Actually a good idea to carry oil instead of Alchemist fire. Why? Well I'll tell you!

First: it's able to be used just like Alchemist fire, all you need is a way to light it, such as a tindertwig(swift action to use) or a flame based spell, or just plain old spark the Cantrip! So if one person throws oil I can then light it, doing the same damage as alchemist fire then setting it on fire on top of that(which Alchemist fire doesn't do)

Second: A vial of oil is only 1sp

Third, it can be used to power lamps, or light a weapon on fire(one round of course)

| HP: 23/23 | AC 19* (T14*, FF 16*) | CMB: +3 CMD: 16 | F:+5 R:+5 W:+5 | Init +3 | Perc +4, SM +0, Bluff +7, Diplomacy +8 | Speed 30 ft. | Spells: 2nd: 2/3, 1st: 3/5 | Arcane Pool: 3/6 | Slippers: 9/10 | Active Conditions: Shield Other (Grilnik), Shield (1 min), Gravity Bow (1 min)

I disagree. Where does it say a pint of lantern oil explodes upon being lit?

Male LG Dwarven Cleric 5 | HP: 53/53 | AC: 21\25 (12\16 TAC, 19\19 FAC) | CMB: +5, CMD: 17\21 | F: +7\9, R: +3\5, W: +7\9 | Init: +2 | Perc: +8\10, SM: +7 | Spells etc | Active conditions: Longstrider (3?/5 hours; 40' move); Shield Other (@Brynn; 5 hours)

Oil is pretty neat, but:
"You can also use a flask of lamp oil as a splash weapon. Use the rules for alchemist’s fire, except that it takes a full-round action to prepare a flask with a fuse. Once it is thrown, there is a 50% chance of the flask igniting successfully.

You can pour a pint of oil on the ground to cover an area 5 feet square, provided that the surface is smooth. If lit, the oil burns for 2 rounds and deals 1d3 points of fire damage to each creature in the area."

So if we want it, we'll be spending a FRA and then a SA.
For a 50% chance of success.
I'm not convinced that the full round action needs to be in battle, and if preparing the molotov cocktails before battle is okay, then I can see the use case for just throwing oil willy-nilly for cheap and being happy with success only half the time...

@Brynn: Thanks. I try to be a helpful when a pedantic mood strikes...
And just to put everyone at ease, you'll never need to worry about me requesting shells for my mood...

Took a break from other things to google about the full round action and I found a FAQ that says you light it as part of the full round action
So MA to draw, FRA to prep/light, SA to throw (MA to draw next oil?)
Throwing a vial every other turn sounds like a reasonable way to spend actions while conserving spells at least...

I suppose we ask GM Nex to houserule something about changing it from a FRA to a swift with tindertwigs or SA with spark...

Until then, I think throwing massive amounts of oil would be most useful/hilarious if we all get stuck in a ranged fight.
Maybe everyone, including Brynn, tossing molotov cocktails?
WHO WANTS TO BUY A DONKEY AND STICK 210 VIALS OF OIL ON IT?! xD
it's only (8gp mule/donkey, 5gp pack saddle, 21gp oil) 34gp, less than 2 vials of alchemist's fire xD

I'd say Vors should carry the anytool if I thought it could count as thieves tools xD
...
@GM Nex: ...can the anytool count as masterwork thieves tools? :D

Wow... crazyness abounds.

I think a reasonable amount of oil is available.. not sure a whole donkey worth is available..

I am going to say that an any tool does not count as masterwork thieves tools because it specifically says it can count as tools for Craft and Profession. Plus I think thieves tools are tiny little precise things. Not sure the anytool can be that small and precise.

@Bethany - no worry about posting today was crazyness. It was my day off but it was filled with baby things all day. I havent looked at my computer all day till just now.

Just wanted to jump in and talk about my availability.

Looks like next week I will be going on a small vacation. I would normally try to post from my laptop, but I will be out of cell service with no internet. Hanging out with family in a cabin off a river.

So there will be no posting by me between: 19th (evening) till 22nd.

Feel free to post and role play during that time and I will catch up afterwords on the 23rd. I will probably be able to post on Christmas and stuff though.

At the table games usually break around the holidays too. So depending on who is active we can just pause till late December or Jan 1st.

We will see how it goes.

Tis the holidays a lot of games go silent. I am trying to keep the ones I run out of combat form the 20th to the 27th.

Male ratfolk wizard 2
Vitals:
HP:14/14 AC:14=10+(3dex,1size) Speed:20ft BAB:1 CMD:11 CMB:0 FORT:+1 REFL:+3 WILL:+3 SQ:Scent Init:+3

Speaking of enchanting, I can take Craft magic arms and armor, meaning I can enchant any weapons/armor we find at half cost so long as they are masterwork, and Grilink from the sound of it seems he would be taking masterwork transformation as one of his options ^-^

Male LG Dwarven Cleric 5 | HP: 53/53 | AC: 21\25 (12\16 TAC, 19\19 FAC) | CMB: +5, CMD: 17\21 | F: +7\9, R: +3\5, W: +7\9 | Init: +2 | Perc: +8\10, SM: +7 | Spells etc | Active conditions: Longstrider (3?/5 hours; 40' move); Shield Other (@Brynn; 5 hours)

Heh, Clerics are broken good 'cause they automatically get that spell as an option, along with all the other cleric spells xD
I'm guessing it's all just incentive to get people to be more helpful with the healz :D

edit: That reminds me, where is Vors? QQ
Also, I'd just like to make it official: Verik, you're in charge of our shiny new 2lbs of Any-Tool

Also, don't worry about the 5sp each for the inn, I've already subtracted it from the slush fund (for both times) ^_^

Male Half-orc | HP: 17/29/ | AC: 16 (13 Tch, 13 Fl) | CMB: +8, CMD: 17 | F: +6, R: +7, W: +6 | Init: +3 | Perc: +7, SM: +7 Rogue (unchained)/3rd Cleric of Cayden Cailean/2nd| Speed 30ft (30ft) | Active conditions: None.

Vors has been deep in thought, particularly about how his life has been going. He's been walking behind you guys as you shopped. He's been there, but not 'there'. If asked he will contribute to the conversation, but his life has drastically changed in a very short period of time.
