I know you've been particular about players not knowing the adventure though, so just wanted to ask since I did buy the first two books of the AP and have read about halfway into the first one, but haven't touched the second. Is that a deal breaker in terms of playing? I don't mind if it is, just wanted to let you know.
If I can play, I plan on creating a human or Lashunta envoy for this, though.
Yeah, I've played a good amount of PF with friends, and just about a session or two of SF. I know the basics and such, etc. Just never on PbP. Thanks though, I'll get to work on this tonight then.
Back story update.
After that, I was alone and had to fend for myself. I would hunt for food and try to survive day by day. That is until one day, some metal monstrosity landed in the blackened land and some people climbed out of it. They were not like me, they were tall and had no fur. How did they not freeze at night, I couldn’t tell you. While they were away, I went to look at the thing. I didn’t know that it was a ship then, I just knew it as something new.
Their ship was not too big and I lost track of time as I found things I have never seen before and smelled something so sweat my mouth started to water on its own. I was able to open a box and I found a treasure beyond measure. Each thing in this box smelled like nothing I have ever smelled before. I brought one closer to my nose and sniffed. The aroma took me away and I had to have a bite of it. The thing was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating it, the next thing was a slimy thing but it tasted too good. A small red vegetable looked delicious, but when I bit into it my mouth set on fire and I cried. I ate too much and fell asleep.
The movement of the ship woke me up as they lifted off the planet. I was scared and tried to get out of the ship, but when I went to the area I came in from, it was gone. I couldn’t find out how to get out of the ship and tried to find somewhere to hide… I ended up in the room with the food box. I saw a little cave and hid in it. I fell asleep.
Sometime later, I was awoken by one of them screaming at the mess I made. I cowered in the place I was hiding and it wasn’t long till he found me. At first, I was afraid. I didn’t know what he would do to me. But I think he saw that I was still a child and took pity on me.
Eventually I started to help them. Sanji, their cook, took me in as a pet… don’t know how I feel about that now, but it was good. I started to learn from each of them and eventually started to help fix the ship and the more I learned the more that they saw me as a member of the crew and not a pet. Sanji said that I was always monkeying around and ended up calling me Chimp, Chimp Hancock, his last name. I was honored by the name and took to it fully.
Now, years later, we are still roaming through this system. We have been back to Castrovel once or twice, but we never visited where the black mark was. Though, I want to go back there, to see if I can find out what happened to my parents. But to do that, I will have to find my own crew, one that is not always busy with contracts and shipment dates. They have done enough for me already, I can’t ask them for more. That’s why I will now adventure out on my own. I’ll head to the station and hopefully find a good crew that will eventually help me find those I have lost.
All I have from my early years is a locket. There is a description on it in a language that I can’t understand. Hopefully one day, I will.

I am submitting "Buzzsaw" Mulligan, a Dwarven Mechanic with a Xorn shaped battle bot. I had made him for another game that I didn't get into, so I have to modify him a little bit to fit the template provided.
Boris took his newly created drone and took the first transport back to Absalom station. Free but all alone, Boris is looking to start a new life for himself. With his newly acquired combat and technical skills, the newly recruiting Starfinder Society seems as good an option as any.
I do have one question...would my drone be able to use a throwing weapon? I want to give the robot three arms (to fit the Xorn theme) and it'd be nice to have something useful for that third arm to do. I kind of imagine one of the arms having a starknife that spins like a buzzsaw and can be tossed at enemies. Rules aren't clear on this and I could see a GM ruling either way on this. If no, then I'll probably just give it a tool arm or a small arm instead.

Here is my Backstory and Personality for Gryggax, LN Mystic Ace. I will have crunch up later tonight!
Gryggax is the offspring of a prominent diplomat on Castrovel whose past includes the development of a pacifist community of Shirrens that shun the ways of the Formians. Revenge and resentment were the motivators behind Gryggax's current reality, but he was not the intended target.
At a recent banquet held in honor of the anniversary of the community founding, Gryggax accidentally consumed a concoction that was intended for his father, placed there by an operative hired by a Formian group.
Gryggax remembers a euphoric feeling and being compelled to take a walk. He doesn't remember leaving the security gates and entering into the jungle.
When he finally regains consciousness, he panics as he cannot remember anything about himself. A wooden club is inscribed in Shirren with the name "Gryggax" on it. In his bag was a note from the Starfinder Society inviting him to meet his contact at Absalom Station to claim his spot in their organization. He also clutches a rifle and a pack that he can't remember seeing before.
He is currently rubbing a sore area behind his head and wondering where this rifle and pack came from as he rides in a transport en route to Absalom Station.
Gryggax is an easygoing, dry-witted and calm-mannered Shirren. If he were to recall his memories, he would remember that he is a largely a pacifist, but with a duty to protect the community. He seeks to solve problems through mediation, but has been trained to defend his family and friends.
Before the incident, Gryggax was an apprentice to the community shaman, trying to harness the mystical powers that he discovered at a young age. He will have no idea how he came to possess the rifle or even how he has proficiency with it. Gryggax will also discover that he has become a skilled pilot.
Hi, this is Zamdoc with my submission, an ace pilot android soldier. It's still lacking a backstory, but I'll edit it later. I would like to have the character sheet checked just in case there's any errors.
About the personality, he'll be the sort of guy that doesn't feel at home interacting with others and other people often misunderstands him, but with a good heart that always makes him help those in need and doing what is good without caring about laws or regulations. That aside, he loves to pilot and travel with sort of spaceship he can get his hands into, and learn more about everything in that regard.

I had no concerns after viewing the character closer. I really like the concept. Choosing is going to be difficult.

Im fine getting into to roll20, though I have no real experience with it.
I would like to use it for maps, but I can also use Google Drive.
I can get into Roll20. I'm on my phone a lot on weekends, which is the only time I might have trouble accessing it. Otherwise I'm good.
Can Roll20 work on iPhone/iPad? I tend to stick with google slides since i can edit them on my phone. But roll20 has a lot of interesting nicnacs.

I don't know for sure if it works for phone and ipad. I imagine that it does since it is a website. I am OK using Google, I just like the speed and movement tracking of roll 20.
