Male Human Expert 1 Warrior 1

Taking a 20 won't work for climbing as Jax said but the trees are very twisted and covered in vines so the DC is only 5, you can take a 10 out of combat and then take the 20 on perception.

As you venture inland the going is tough as described before, but the "path" Kyranda saw is actually a creek that leads down from the center of the island. The creek is shallow only about half a foot and is not terribly fast. Small fish swim by as you traverse up it. About an eighth of mile inland the creek leads to a small waterfall about 10 feet high. The waterfall has created a small pool about 4 feet deep, it is surrounded by vibrant flora, every color of the rainbow.

DC 15 Perception:
There appears to be some gold nuggets in the pool.

As she asks her questions she raises her arms and water flows up from the pool to her hands.

I am Salash, and this is my home. She says, letting the water that had flowed up to her hands fall back into the pool. Many dangerous people have come from across the sea before, but I sense some truth in your words, so you are free to explore the island if you wish. A year ago another group found themselves washed onto my coast. Most died fighting each other but I last saw one head over the top of the island. I am not sure what happened to him but I do not sense life in the water there anymore.

Noro just followed along keeping an eye out for danger. she wasn't much for talking, but she was good for turning a talk into a fight. actually she kind of really excelled at that.

when the water girl appeared Noro instinctively took a defensive stance ready for nearly anything. but her fears were soon abated as the water girl proved harmless.

listening to the information Noro take it upon herself to head off a bit in the direction that was indicated, looking to find some signs of the others that headed over the top of the island.

"Ah...okeys. So... this one left? They's up above, right?" Suny points "They's up where that," She indicates the small waterfall, "Be comin' from?" Then she blinks and shakes her blond mop.

"Ah! M'name be 'Suny' in'a speakin' of tha' peoples." She says with a smile, "Does ye know tha' speakin' of tha' kin?" Suny asks, even as she offers a hand forwards for shaking. (^_^)

I have been on this island as long as I can remember, how long that is? It has been some time...

Noro pushes her way into the jungle towards the center of the island, it takes only a few steps for her to be unable to see the rest of the group or the pool. But she can still hear the voices.

The one that was left, went over the rocky point at the center of the island, I sensed his life for a while but no longer.

When Suny offers her hand, Salash returns the shake. Her hand is soft but her shake firm.

If you find what happened let me know, I will have a blessing for you.

Arjun DC 15 perception:
Three times, you can hear the crack of a whip and then a scream. If you walk over so you can see the ship, it looks like a tall figure (probably Scourge) is whipping a shorter heavy set man (probably Kroop). As far as the reason, you can't tell.

For those in the jungle the going gets tough, eventualy you come to the rocky center of the island. From your perch you are able to see the Man's Promise below. On the other side of the island you can see a bit of a clearing with what might be a hut.

I'm able to understand it okay. It makes the character interesting. I may have to reread it twice though every once in a while to see what is being said.

Why does everyone assume Salash was a ghost? Perhaps I need to be better with my descriptions. She was quite corporeal. She rose out of the water as if forming from it, but she had flesh and skin just like yours. She was water made flesh.

Suny and Noro said they were heading in the direction that the man last travelled, I am assuming the rest of the Jungle Group did as well unless you post otherwise.

For those in the jungle the going gets tough, eventualy you come to the rocky center of the island. From your perch you are able to see the Man's Promise below. On the other side of the island you can see a bit of a clearing with what might be a hut. It looks to be about a quarter mile beneath you in the opposite direction of the Man's Promise.

Having happily skipped, bounced, clambered, wriggled and scooted her way through the island's underbrush, Suny shades her eyes with her hands as she peers about at the island arrayed below them, then she looks around for the tallest tree on this part of the promontory.

Calah spends some time conveying her wishes to her Roc. Takes a 20 It flies off in the direction of the hut.

Calah:
You can't see what the Roc sees, but you get a feeling of danger and death, it almost tugs at your heart. What would cause these harsh feeling across your empathic link, you don’t know. Your know your Roc has not been hurt as there was no feeling of pain.

From her perch Suny is able to see the entire island below and even a few neighboring islands. The hut she sees seems to be somewhat over grown. Was it made that way or since fallen into disrepair?
