Zirt Fzerkinkratzcher |
Benedict's nose wiggles and twitches as the wolverine scents his prey and evaluates the extent of the wound Mordenaar inflicted upon it. Growing low in his throat, he tears into Jathune's leg with viciously sharp teeth and claws!
Bite (heroism, flank): 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 2 + 2 = 13
Claw (heroism, flank): 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 7 + 2 + 2 = 29
Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Claw (heroism, flank): 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 + 2 = 25
Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Zirt, meanwhile, prepares a witty and derogative remark for the moment Pamari's eyes clear and the gnome's prior words settle in. Ready to use Punchline on her as soon as lesser confusion wears off. Will DC18 or be affected as hideous laughter. This doesn't disrupt the mock effect on Jathune and Pamari.
DM Khel |
Benedict badgers Jathune with sharp wolverine claws, bringing the oread down before he manages to land a single blow! Zirt attempts to make light of the situation but Pamari, grappled by the practically-ponytailed bump-set-spike crew from Geb State, doesn't see the humor in it.
Going to roll Pamari's save vs Punchline now:
Pamari Will, DC 18: 1d20 ⇒ 16 Success.
Round 4 Initiative:
Rikimaru
Drizz'n (readied action pending)
Dirch (delaying?)
Jathune (-85 hp, -7 Str, unconscious)
Clockwork Xorn
Ebonwolf
Mordenaar
Stone Cold Kitteh (-16 hp)
Pamari (-8 hp, grappled)
Zirt
Rikimaru is up!
Rikimaru-Kasuya |
Rikimaru double moves to the top of the stairs if that’s possible while invisible.
would Rikimaru be able to get up the laddder and past the undead volleyball players and past Jathune.
DM Khel |
Rikimaru hurries invisibly up the stairs! Moved you up the stairs as far as a double move can get you.
The mechanical xorn looks around for something to whack!
Round 4 Initiative:
Rikimaru
Drizz'n (readied action pending)
Dirch (delaying?)
Jathune (-85 hp, -7 Str, unconscious)
Clockwork Xorn
Ebonwolf
Mordenaar
Stone Cold Kitteh (-16 hp)
Pamari (-8 hp, grappled)
Zirt
Bold are up! Dirch – do you want to come out of delay?
Mordenaar |
I don't know if it's reasonable to get to where I've placed Mordenaar. I'll include an acorbatics check if needed. Acrobatics: 1d20 ⇒ 6
Mordenaar, eager to get in on the action worms his way into an opening, hoping to continue his slaying path. Once in position he manages to sneak in a singular thrust of Sinister ATK: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25 for DMG: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Ebonwolf Metalbender |
Ebonwolf also looking fur something to whack begins hoofing it to the commotion up above.
Double move
DM Khel |
Mordenaar sticks Pamari in the side as Ebonwolf moves closer to the fray! The stone-skinned cheetah rises up from the rocky floor and is immediately struck by a xorn hammer and a bone-chilling bomb! The cat crumbles to pieces! Pamari attempts to cast a spell while in the grip of the skeletal spike squad, but fails!
Hammer: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Concentration, DC 17: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
Round 4/5 Initiative:
Rikimaru
Drizz'n
Dirch
Jathune (-85 hp, -7 Str, unconscious)
Clockwork Xorn
Ebonwolf
Mordenaar
Stone Cold Kitteh (-43 hp, dead)
Pamari (-16 hp, grappled)
Zirt
Bold are up!
Zirt Fzerkinkratzcher |
Zirt glares at Pamari. "You should probably surrender now," she intones solemnly. "If you don't, well, you've already seen what these..." The gnome trails off and turns to Dirch. "What did you call these skeletons? I mean the name you used — they're clearly skeletons, of course, but I didn't quite catch the specific type, and I'll bet there's a fascinating story behind it. Oh, do tell us!"
Rikimaru-Kasuya |
Rikimaru invisibily sneaks behind Pamari, and silently places the butt of his hilt against her back. Rikimaru's voice appears as does his body, "Don't move. Surrender, now." he says with a menacing voice.
Kevin "Drizz'n" Marshall |
"Gloom upon everyone!" Drizz'n yells, before realizing there are no more enemy targets. Disappointed he lowers himself to the floor.
"Sorry about it, but this did not look like a fun party anyways. Unless you're into rocks or something. Whatever, I don't know."
DM Khel |
Buried under a heap of skeletons wearing kneepads around their bony ankles, surrounded by foes and with her allies defeated, Pamari gives one last grunt and attempts to wriggle free, then goes still. "Fine, you win. What do you want of me?"
When she learns that Grave Treader has asked that she be spared, and that she is free to do as she wishes, Pamari is clearly pleased to have gotten off so lightly. A few moments later, Grave Treader meets the party at the base of the stone column, where she thanks them for their and invites them to discuss her situation.
Over a simple meal in her tent, Grave Treader says, ”Again, I offer my gratitude for your help in defeating Jathune, before he did something truly dishonorable. You have proven yourselves to be both thoughtful and powerful, and I wish to hear your thoughts on what course I should take next. A part of me is considering staying with Sundered Stone, working with Pamari to transform the band into a legitimate mercenary group, perhaps with Reyshal’s aid. Another voice in me says I should just disband the group and go my own way – which could allow me to conduct my research on my own, or rejoin the Pathfinder Society as a means of doing so. Either way, I would not wish anything to happen to the members of Sundered Stone, as I feel they were just trying to survive in this war-ravaged place.”
Diplomacy checks, anyone, to convince her to return to the Society? Or will you let her disband the group and cut a solo album, so she can really do her own material?
DM Khel |
Two options that matter to you guys - convince her to rejoin the Society, or don't.
Ebonwolf Metalbender |
Looking to tha group Ebonwolf says "Let me be trying this."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
"Aye lass. I be wanted ta know what ur thoughts on returnin' ta the Society are? Ya see one with yer training an' experience would do well to help teach tha new membars and also think of what you methods ta help the Silver Crusade ya can be bringing too."
Assit Anyone?
Mordenaar |
Not one for words, Mordenaar does his level best, "It'd be good to have your skillset. We need people with field experience beyond the stuffy walls of Skyreach." Diplomacy Aid: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4 lol. Nope.
DM Khel |
Grave Treader listens intently to Ebonwolf's entreaties, then shakes her head ever so slightly as Mordenaar weighs in.
Anyone else want to Aid Ebonwolf?
Dirch |
Diplomacy Aid: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Gosh, Miss Grave Treader, ma'am, Sorrina Westyr sure is worried about you. She would be glad to see you
DM Khel |
Grave Treader's demeanor breaks from its usual...graveness. A gentle smile crosses her face as she considers Sorrina Westyr and she replies, "It would be good to see her again, as well as some of my other comrades in arms. And as Ebonwolf says, I do have something to offer to new members, to perhaps help chart the course of the society going forward. Very well, I will return with you."
That was the final hurdle! We are done! I am about halfway done with chronicles, still need PFS info from a couple of folks.
Thanks very much for playing, all! I won't be able to start another game for a couple of months, but will likely try to get something going again in June if there's interest.
Kevin "Drizz'n" Marshall |
That was a fun one! Thanks all, and thanks DM Khel for running! Now to get a chocolate pudding cup.
Rikimaru-Kasuya |
Thanks DM Kehl for guiding us through this game!
Thanks Everyone for the game!
That was super fun! Thanks for putting up with my newbieness, but I'm totally in on the next pbp!
