Gretalia grew up on the shadow plane with out parents. Forced to fend for herself. It was a tough life and several times she got into trouble almost losing her life. She joined a small cult of Asmodeus when she was old enough and trained there with the other young ones.
Realising her skill and cunning she was assigned to the ninja master. He trained her for several years before she was ready to be initiated. The initiation was brutal but her quick thinking and even quicker reflexes meant she lived and became accepted as a ninja.
Her master revealed that her parents had fled the shadow plane to the material plane when it was discovered they had let several artifacts fall into the hands of a church on the material plane.
He charged her with the mission of finding those artifacts and returning them to their rightful place.
For several years she searched the material plane. The information she found would always cost the informants life. Eventually she was led to Talingarde and the church of mitra.
After several deaths and the relentless pursuit of the agents of the King and mitra she was caught in a trap while attempting an assassination. Thus she now sits in her cell. Wishing death on her captors...

I think he would either have High Treason or Sedition as his crime. I am leaning towards Sedition.
Well the problem with Esan is that he cannot leave well enough alone. He kinda has OCD where order and structure are concerned. He gets most of the people where he wants them, then begin to see flaws and faults and executes them for the real or imagined errors.He was caught by the soldiers who found him. He had begun to corrupt a few of the townsfolk, but was quickly shutdown because he tried to rush things, got sloppy and was sold out by his so-called allies.
