Ashamintallu's Last Stand Round 3

Init: Nalar, Relan, Ashamintallu, Gnaeus, Quennelle, Oriana, Vuloo, Andel, Maidens

Nalar fires and misses again while his familiar flies in to assist with triage causing Oriana to stand and ready her sword again, saluting the cat once more.

As Relan shouts out, the short-haired woman (Yes, that's still Oriana) begins to retort but cuts off as Nalar answers and she turns to fight.

Relan trips and knocks a Maiden unconscious.

The blinded demon flies about erratically and slams into a column .. she then flings her arm to the west and a sphere of fire erupts and shoots to the west, falling to the ground and bouncing and rolling along until it strikes Oriana scorching her

Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16; fail; Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 1) = 10

Premature posting ...

To the west, the dhampir appears directly in front of Vuloo slashing his blade as he strikes down hard electricity coursing along the blade. The halfling stands agape as the blade skitters off his armor.

To hit Vuloo Flat footed: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 11 - 2 = 11
To hit Vuloo: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 - 2 = 10

Quennelle, Oriana and the other Maidens continue to fight amongst themselves.

Vullo casts a spell, Spell Pen: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11, but it fizzles. Andel moves in close to Relan.

Ashamintallu's Last Stand Round 4

Init: Nalar, Relan, Ashamintallu, Gnaeus, Quennelle, Oriana, Vuloo, Andel, Maidens

Nalar drives his point home with a green ray that strikes the demoness and surrounds her with a shimmering green shield that rides mere inches off her body.

Relan trips the Maiden without a sword and bashes her over the head earning a nod of approval from Quennelle.

The blinded and reeling alu-demon flies a bit aimlessly over the fight, shrieking in frustration. She draws her wand and attempts to activate it and her body fades in and out of existence, but the green shield seems to suck her back in. In a rage, she throws the wand aside and reaches for the glaive off her back.

The dhampir follows Vuloo, his grin flashing white along with his electric blade ... although he seems a bit off, like he's aiming at a point several feet to the right of Vuloo, but he smashes the halfling nonetheless sending ripples of agony through the oracle as he falls to his knees, convulsing, before he passes out. (I believe that sends you down based on your current HP stat line ... correct me if I'm wrong)

The magus turns and back hands Andel with a less magically charged blow.

Oriana directs Quennelle to engage Gnaeus and the lieutenant does so, rushing up to sunder the magus's blade, but the dhampir pulls his blade away from the parry, realizing her intent with a flash of annoyance. The Gray Maiden captain then moves to engage another of her former members, injuring her with the flat of her blade.

(Andel doesn't have to double move ... the dhampir is right there, I forgot to turn him visible)

The Maidens continue to fight, two more falling down.

Ashamintallu's Last Stand Round 5

Init: Nalar, Relan, Ashamintallu, Gnaeus, Quennelle, Oriana, Vuloo, Andel, Braelex, Maidens

Nalar pulls on the power of the shard as he pulls out a wand. As the effect of the artifact starts to settle in, the dhampir shakes his head ... "NO! I'm not falling for your trickery, wizard!" His smile fades and his eyes flash with anger as he stares Nalar down stalking towards him drawing a swipe from the Maiden lieutenant he just blew past (and from Andel as well, fwiw, roll miss chance)

Seeing the trouble, Relan moves up behind Nalar and readies a trip for approach as the dhampir advances. The warrior aims a perfect blow to send the magus sprawling, but his weapon passes through space and he realizes the magus is protected by an illusion spell disguising his true location. The magus cuts the wizard, electricity coursing through the wound.

Ashamantillu flies about erratically coming down near the melee and sprays fire from her fingertips covering Oriana and a couple of the Maidens in scorching heat. All but Oriana fall to the ground burned and screaming.

Quennelle moves up to flank the dhampir and Andel follows suit, the warrior striking well, the bard ... not so much. Oriana steps in to engage the blinded demon, finding a particularly painful place to shove her blade.

Vuloo is stabilized by Thyrrl and the party breathes a sigh of relief until a newcomer explodes on to the scene.

From the east running up the stairs comes Sorshen, wearing only an elegant blue gown and slippers, she looks a touch frazzled and her dress is soiled at the edges. She moves in a slight defensive crouch and wears a look of concern and confusion.

Halima and some of the Maidens exclaim as she enters and nearly as one, cry out, "Defend our mistress!" They disengage and move to form a protective formation in front of her. The remaining Maidens look to Oriana and the flapping demon and quickly tend to their fallen comrades. (The separation has made the charmed ones obvious and so they are all marked)

Ashamintallu's Last Stand Round 7

Init: Nalar, Relan, Ashamintallu, Gnaeus, Quennelle, Oriana, Vuloo, Andel, Braelex, Maidens

Nalar's familiar rushes the magus with a flashing growl. The tiny creature has to get in close, however, and the magus swipes at it as it closes, striking it. The agathion speeds past to rend at the dhampir cutting him slightly.

Relan takes two swings at the dhampir's feet, but is misled by the illusion magic and the steps back next to Nalar smacking the wand in his hand cursing.

Overhead, there is a cry of elation as Ashamintallu shakes off the blindness and redirects her flaming sphere at Relan (Reflex DC 17 or take 3d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 6) = 14 fire damage) before she notices Sorshen at the other side of the room. Her face falls and she hovers there aghast staring at the woman, whispering something that can't be heard over the din of combat. The Maiden parries his blade easily

Gnaeus twirls in a vicious spin hacking at Quennelle and casting a spell, defensively, and a fan of flames arc out at Thyrl, Andel and Quennelle. (DC13 Reflex save or take 5d4 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 3, 4) = 10 fire daage)

Quennelle and Andel respond back in kind as Oriana attacks the stunned alu-demon. The lieutenant and the bard both land blows home and the Captain gets a pair of unblocked rage-filled strikes in.

The new Sorshen orders her recently acquired phalanx forward and they glance back at her unsure of themselves before they shakily advance on the flying demon. The other Maidens who've broken the enchantment surround and harry the flying fiend.

Ashamintallu's Last Stand Round 8

Init: Nalar, Relan, Ashamintallu, Gnaeus, Quennelle, Oriana, Vuloo, Andel, Braelex, Maidens

Nalar moves and Thyrl and Relan miss the dhampir several times, although the flanking warrior helps the agathion-cat scratch once more.

Ashamnintallu sees the approaching Maidens and shouts in fury at them, "No you fools, she is a trick! She must be ... you know me! Be compelled!" Almost visibly you see her push hard on the enchanted bonds and she recoils as they all push back, the enchantment breaking as they roar forward with no hesitation this time. The alu-demon flies up 5 feet out of reach of the women below before she points at the new Sorshen, firing bolts of energy at her. (Take 4d4 ⇒ (3, 1, 1, 3) = 8 force damage)

Gnaeus casts and attacks again, this time stepping toward Relan as he does so his first attack charged with life-leeching energy and the second just cutting hard.

Quennelle steps to follow him and is fooled once by the illusion, but not twice. Andel misses badly as the Maidens circle Ash. Bereft of missile weapons, they can only wait until she comes within reach. Oriana sends two to aid Relan and Quennelle.

So I trip but do no damage. Sigh. Are any buffs at all running? Relan is at 15 hp. Another spell strike like that will kill him.

Hurl it as far as you can, I'll pick it up halfway. =)

Bugger well there goes that achievement. It's hard to tell on Roll20, the icons aren't super clear. Also I don't think Nalar can slide a crossbow that far...

The dead one was dead when you arrived. None have bled to death since the fight started.

I generally use a red X for down and then add the skull for dead

Ashamintallu's Last Stand Round 9

Init: Nalar, Relan, Ashamintallu, Gnaeus, Quennelle, Oriana, Vuloo, Andel, Braelex, Maidens

Nalar heals Vuloo a bit, but the halfling still doesn't come around.

Relan trips the magus but is fooled by his illusionary magic. Just as the warrior begins to despair and curse the deception ... the spell flickers and dies. (Yes, it's been that long) The dhampir's eyes flicker in fear and you start to see him begin to surrendur, but a glance a Ashamintallu causes his eyes to glaze over and he leaps to his feet, drawing opportune attacks from everyone surrounding him. (Relan and Andel both get them)

The Dice:

Quennelle AoO: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24; HIT!; Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Maiden AoO: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14; miss
Maiden AoO: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26; HIT!; Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Ash charge vs Braelex: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 8 + 2 = 11; miss

Will hold off on Gnaeus' attack ... entirely possible Relan will kill him

Ash watches as the battle has all of a sudden turned against her and she looks about frantically her eyes alighting on 'Sorshen.' "This is all your fault!" the demon screams as she charges forward on flapping wings her guisarme in front of her as she rages forward to slice at the newcomer. 'Sorshen' ducks under the wild blow.

The Maidens move to follow.

Badly wounded Relan fails to sense the shift in the flow of battle in their favor and attacks the magus with lethal intent as he tries to stand.

AOO: 1d20 + 16 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 16 + 4 = 262d4 + 9 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 9 + 6 = 21

Need to know if the magus is down before posting actions for round 10

"Ye reap what ye sow," 'Sorshen' taunts with a smile, doing her best defensive dodge.

Seeing the magus go down Nalar calls out to his familiar. "See to the wounded!"

With a hiss the outsider flies away from the downed magus, stabilizing the closest bleeding maiden.

Nalar activates the wand one last time before running over to where he dropped the crossbow, looking around a spots the handful of bolts he dropped. Looking up, he sees the demon and Sorshen engaged in combat and for a moment he's tempted to go back to seeing to the fallen oracle.
Something about her doesn't seem right. He thinks to himself. Obliviously she's not the real Sorshen or we'd all be her slaves by now. So she's an impostor of some sort, much like the demon. But how did she know my name?

UMD: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (17) + 16 = 33
Healing: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

If Nalar wants to toss the crossbow, improvised touch attack with a range increment of 10. Pick where you want to aim to throw it too and then roll away.

Relan will cut the magus down on the AoO.

On his turn, Relan, wounded as he is, runs to the point shown on the map.

Ashamintallu's Last Stand Round 10

Init: Nalar, Relan, Ashamintallu, Quennelle, Oriana, Vuloo, Andel, Braelex, Maidens

Nalar heals Vuloo a bit more and the halfling gains some color but not conciousness. THe wizard moves to the pile of bolts and finds the crossbow, Ashamintallu's forgotten globe of fire smoldering next to him.

Relan having just cut the magus down, sprints to the otherside of the room, surrounding himself in the Maiden phalanx, staring up at the hovering demon out of reach of all of their weapons ... but not his.

Ashamintallu continues to rage at 'Sorshen' with her polearm, but she appears disorganized and weakened. However the blade gets through once, cutting through the Azlanti woman's porcelain flesh easily

To hit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27; HIT!; Crit?: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17; no; Damage: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (4, 2) + 2 = 8
Iterative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12; miss

Oriana draws her bow and puts away her longsword, reluctantly as her lieutenant grabs the two remaining Maidens and sees to the wounds of their fallen.

at Bralex round 10, everyone else round 11

Stepping over a down maiden Relan attacks once and then tries to disarm the demon.

Bleeding, 'Sorshen' continues to back away defensively. "Come on guys, take her out already!"
