To be fair, it was largely not a mechanical choice... it was really how I imagined the character being, and I'm not going to avoid making those rolls just because I know I've got a penalty to them. I really try not to metagame. :)

Wisdom frequently winds up being my 'dump stat' of choice. Largely given that Adventuring seems to me to be a rather unwise career choice & I can rationalize a lot hasty/foolhardy behavior that way.
I suspect that is why I rarely play characters for whom Wisdom is key. Although I do have a fondness for Martial Artist/Monks, but that is mainly because I like the fact they don't have to be lawful.
My turn to be traveling. I'm on the road for about ten hours today. I may post during that, I may not.

Sorry! Had totally spaced that we weren't all involved in this scene. Ysmerelda is dealling with a problem I find myslf in frequently, oddly enough. She is lethally armed, but the fight doesn't necessarilly rate fighting lethally.
Concequently, she is kind of torn. She will attempt to intimidate the guy again.
If he hasn't seen sense by next round, she will likely take the gloves off so to speak.

I recently formatted my machine to install Windows 7 and when I did I installed Java 7. Apparently Java 7 doesn't work with Maptools.
Several hours of troubleshooting later, we're back in business.
Not a problem. I eagerly await my next chance to pump a goblin full of crossbow bolt.
I'm looking forward to (successfully) stabbing one in the eye.
Maptools can be fun to get working. I had my own fun with that not too long ago.
