Ranseur attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Ranseur damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 6 = 10

Sometimes it helps to accompany every monster post with a reiteration of how many bad guys are left, and where we are in the initiative order. =)

Right, but you haven't rolled Initiative, Orion.

Orion speared the mighty goblin with his Ranseur. This gives you some time to look about and rest to see what is happening before any more goblins come for you.

Looking around is a perception check?

yes, yes it is.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Hunter will look for a vantage point so he can get some high ground from additional approaching goblins.
perception: 6 + 1d20 ⇒ 6 + (20) = 26
climb: 8 + 1d20 ⇒ 8 + (13) = 21 in case he has to climb up a pole to get to a tall building.

Goblins spill out of every corner of Sandpoint it seems. Hunter sees the goblins find the cart containing the fuel for the bonfire and they have lit it up. They are closest to the group of PCs, provided that you all have time to react to what is coming towards you.

Again, roll initiative.

Goblins: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
