DM Davy Jones |

Grok laughs at you.
Relax, you'll get your arms and armor when we catch up with the ship tomorrow. It's not like you have to have it now, take 12 hours to catch up the ship at least - and that's if she doesn't realize she's being chased.
She slaps her hand on Ayre's shoulder.
Don't worry kiddo, you'll get your stuff back. Nothing builds the captain's trust like looting a merchantman.

Yuki Okano |

After a night of strange fever dreams as she slept off her exhaustion, Yuki awakes with a hangover, but yet also a renewed sense of purpose primarily centered around getting the hells off this ship. After a brief breakfast of hardtack, she goes to check on Nymph's condition, mentally rehearsing what sort of smooth thing she might need to say if the ship's officers insist on keeping the errant shark-girl in the sweatbox.

Nymph |

Trying to keep her brain from melting into mush Nymph tries her best to regulate her breathing and meditate on the teachings of Sekhmet, and also what Sandara looks like underneath her clothes. And Grok. And Yuki. And Tilly, though that one wasn't that hard.
And Shivikah, without her flesh.

Nymph |

The shark in the box is!

Ayre |

Yep.
During the night Rocky would have crept to the box and tried to play a game with Nymph, knocking out patterns on the box top

Nymph |

Nymph is very thankful for the company and reminds herself to thoroughly thank the dutiful familiar if she ever got out of this alive.

Yuki Okano |

Yuki makes her way to the sweatbox, looks through one of the holes, and lowers her voice, "Hey, what happened? You didn't really try to kill those guys did you? Do you need some healing? We need to figure out a way to get you out, I think they're about to raid another ship, we might be able to convince them to let you help!"

Nymph |

Nah, I'm good. Plus they might skewer you if they see you messing with the box." Nymph responds, her voice dry and ragged, before lowering it even further. "And I only tried to kill them cause they tried to kill me. Said I needed to have an 'accident'. So you guys stay together out there, okay? Keep an eye out for each other ya hear? Sleep in shifts if ya have to."
Stopping Yuki can hear gulps and lips smacking as Nymph tries to keep her throat from drying out. "A raid ya say?" She chuckles. "Sounds fun. What kind of ship is it?"
Finishing she adds "And Yuki, if you wouldn't mind... could you keep an eye on Tilly too?"

Ayre |

a Level of Fighter Yuki? I am intrigued what is your plan?
Ayre will approach Yuki Well things are about to get tough. When the fighting starts how can I support you?

Yuki Okano |

Yuki took a level of Fighter to make her better at ranged attacks, so now she can use a longbow and gets the rapid shot feat. The extra fort save bonus and additional weapon and armor options don't hurt either. With 4 players now we need as much dpr as we can get.
Yuki clinches her fists in anger as Nymph relates the circumstances that lead to the sweatbox, "I'll figure out a way to get you out of this, in the meantime, I'll keep an eye on Tilly, sure. Sandara seems to think they'll let you loose for the raid, I hope she's right. It looks like a merchant ship so there might be some good stuff on it. Let me get you some water." Yuki then goes to find a cup and uses her oracular ability to create water for Nymph, unless prevented by the ship's officers.
In response to Ayre's question, she says, "Really, I just need a longbow and some arrows and I'm good. Oh, and a raised perch to fire from wouldn't hurt either. I can probably get the weapons I need if they give us our stuff back."

Nymph |

lol don't need a cup, just get a bit away and keep Create Water going to keep her hydrated :3

Nymph |

Precisely!

Galean "Rafter" Santiago |

Hit dice+con+FCB: 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 1 = 11 Sweet!
Skills going in Profession(Sailor), Sense Motive, Climb and Perception.
That's about it for a druid, I also get the ability to see through fogs, and I get one more spell per day. For today, that's going to be Summon Nature's Ally. Question to the GM, can I flavour the Eagle Summon as an Albatross? It's much more in theme for Galean.
Galean would sneak by the sweatbox to check how Nymph is doing. "You alright there, Sharkgirl? I didn't know sharks had a taste for narwhals.", he jests, looking forward to the following fight. He then leans over and whispers. "I think that we'd have a good chance to get you out of there after the fight, if Scourge doesn't let you out due to you being a scary, scary motherlover." He then goes and starts looking at the helm. Is the captain on the rudder? If so, Galean may even learn something about sailing.

Nymph |

"Actual narwhal doesn't taste half bad. Narwhal on the other hand tastes like left out catfish." she jokes back. "And you guys need to stop teasing me about this raid, you're making me jealous in here."

Galean "Rafter" Santiago |

Galean is updated and ready.
Galean looks at the captain, expecting to see impressive stuff as soon as pursuit begins.
Read: Expecting him to have more than +15 in Profession(Sailor).
He checks his gear about 3 times, before being looked at rather annoyed by other people, at which point he stops and continues doing his duties.

DM Davy Jones |

The ship spends all day and night following the ship - catching up slowly but surely.
The next day you within half a mile of the ship.
Krine opens the sweatbox and lets Nymph out, then gathers you all together.
You !#$*&&! people are !$#&!)% terrible and frankly I don't trust you to &*)!$ $!*(&)_ a &!%#()! !#@$&_. But you get to !#$*&&! form a &!%#()! boarding party to take that ship. You get the &*)(#%! biter and you get to take the *&)!$# ship's wheel. Grapple the $*)&!#$ rail, kill the $*)&#&@@s on the sterncastle, take $#&!)* the wheel, and guard the )$#!#$ ship's boats. Don't $!)&$ move from the !#$*)&! wheel until the $*&#!& fighting's $!&#__)*)( done, or you'll have to !#_$**( answer to me.
She pauses and looks back at you.
Oh yeah. As we get close it's going to get foggy. Just stick to what I told you to do.
You can go pick up a weapon and your armor if you haven't already gotten one.
As the ships approach you have four rounds to fire arrows from a crossbow or longbow towards the ship at 120 feet, the ship will close at 30 feet each round. Then you have to grapple the ship and board. Grappling's a ranged touch attack.

Nymph |

As Krine lets Nymph out of the box she gratefully remarks "You are now my second favourite woman on this whole damn ship!"
Will they supply the ranged weapons or do we have to have to have that stuff in our gear?

Nymph |

While the time in the sweatbox wasn't as dismal as she thought it would be due to the support of her friends it still took her a second or so to translate Krine's instructions. In a look of understanding she then runs off to the armory to get some of her things. "Hook my up Grokkie-baby! Need my fancy tuna chopper, my shirt, a bow and arrows, and a kiss for good luck!"
Cackling a bit with the excitement she goes about getting her stuff if it's obvious that Grok herself is too busy and if that's what everyone else is doing at the moment.

Ayre |

I assume I get my scrolls and whatnot
Ayre straps his dagger to his waist and pulls and reads a scroll of Mage armor
Then he waits

Yuki Okano |

Before the battle, Yuki first places her light crossbow, bolts, and leather armor in her locker, then visits Grok to retrieve her studded leather armor and to pick up a longbow and 20 arrows, assuming the ship loans it to her.
After putting on her armor, she waits with the others on deck, looking keyed up as she awaits their chance to prove themselves and hopefully pick up some booty.

Nymph |

...hopefully pick up some booty.
Nymph be like right there :3

DM Davy Jones |

As the ships close arrows start to fall on you.
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 [ooc]Nymph
Damage (Crossbow): 1d10 ⇒ 8
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 Yuki
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 Galean
Damage (Crossbow): 1d10 ⇒ 10
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 Ayre
Damage (Crossbow): 1d10 ⇒ 7
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 Nymph
Attack (Crossbow, Confirm Critical): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 Confirmed!
Damage (Crossbow): 2d10 ⇒ (1, 9) = 10
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 Yuki
The crossbow bolts sing towards you.

Ayre |

Ayre flinches as the bolt slams into his chest but doesn't penetrate the force armor
Then he ducks around behind the mast for a little cover

Yuki Okano |

Shouldn't we get some cover bonus from the ship?
Yuki returns fire, hoping that it might deter further bolts, but guessing it probably won't.
Longbow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Nymph |

HP: 8/26
Hissing as the bolts pierce her chest Nymph tries to return the favor.
Longbow: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 = 8
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
And fails miserably due to being a pin cushion at the moment.

DM Davy Jones |

You do get 2 extra AC from the ship (thought I included that in the wrap up) - I don't think that helps everyone.

Galean "Rafter" Santiago |

Galean looks at Nymph getting shot, and shouts, "Get down, I'll get to you in a minute!" He then puts down his cutlass, and his hand is wreathed in flame, which is then launched towards the merchant ship's sails.
Produce Flame, touch attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 Bummer.
A flame ball hurls away from Galean's arm, and connects to the sail of the merchant ship.
Produce Flame: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Produce Flame: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Galean launches two more orbs of flame at the sails, and as the flame extinguishes, he goes to Nymph, and puts his hand on her injuries. The feeling of saltwater on open wounds is felt by Nymph, as the wounds begin to close.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Nymph |

Well I do still have a move action.
Hearing Rafter shout at her Nymph crouches behind cover after a second, not even close enough to see who they were fighting and she was already getting caught up in the bloodlust.

DM Davy Jones |

Yeah, not the uh, smartest idea.
Krine will move forward and slap Galean upside the head.
Don't $&!)&*& set the $%&#)(&!# !$1!&@#*( ship on *$#!&)$ fire Berryboy! We need #$!)&(! the *#&$!)*& intact!
The pirates will concentrate on the spellcaster trying to set their ship on fire.
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Damage (Crossbow): 1d10 ⇒ 2
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Damage (Crossbow): 1d10 ⇒ 3
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Go.

Nymph |

Jumping up Nymph again lets an arrow loose.
Longbow: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 4 + 2 = 15
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Yuki Okano |

Yuki moves behind Nymph and magically heals some of the woman's arrow wounds.
CLW on Nymph: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
I think the dice gods have it out for you Nymph.

Nymph |

I know right? Thankies though :3
HP: 10/26

Galean "Rafter" Santiago |

After being slapped, Galean decides to reaim the other fireballs at the captain of the ship, not wanting another punch.
As several arrows land on his shield, Galean rushes to Nymph, healing her, then prepares to land the boarding hooks.

Nymph |

Fancy hat!

DM Davy Jones |

The sailor at the wheel does look quite toasty as a result of the attack, and someone throws water on him to douse the flames and prevent the rest of the ship from being set on fire.
Galean gets a lot of glares from nearby pirates because he's trying to set their prey on fire, which would prevent it from being boarded or looted.
A thick fog envelops the target ship, obscuring the view but not before several crossbows fire again - again all at the person trying to set the ship on fire.
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12Not confirmed
Damage (Crossbow): 1d10 ⇒ 5
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3Not confirmed
Damage (Crossbow): 1d10 ⇒ 9
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Attack (Crossbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Total result is 14 damage to Galean.
This round finishes, then the next round is boarding.

Nymph |

Is there any point in firing with the fog?

Yuki Okano |

Able to see through the fog thanks to her oracular revelation, Yuki quickly fires two arrows as the closest enemy with a crossbow.
Shot 1: Longbow + Point-Blank Shot - Rapid shot: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 1 - 2 = 5
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Shot 2: Longbow + Point-Blank Shot - Rapid shot: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 1 - 2 = 7
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

DM Davy Jones |

If you can identify something without the fog, sure - if you have to deal with a 50% miss chance.
