That's worth 150% of normal due to hexes owned.

I appreciate the thoughtful review of my list, Asvald, very helpful. I generally concur, but wonder about the conclusion - restoring ability damage is helpful, but Torque can do Lesser Restoration, and has two memorized on his current sheet.

Torque - would it be helpful to you if Senja took on the ability damage healing, as far as spells it would free up? If not, I'll take Agony and use it to manage how many foes we need to fight at a given time.

I just discovered in my Hero Lab notes that I purchased hex C5 last time. So I guess I'll take hex F.

You do have a point. The only thing I would replace them with is Soothing Word.

An extra resist energy or shield other would be handy too.

Got most of my decisions made, just gotta enact them.

Good plan, I'm mostly leveled and failed to finish, will get back to work on it.

I put up the intro post for the level as a marker, so don't take that as pressure from me to get going.

Nearly done with leveling - took Break Enchantment as my new 5th level spell (can change if Torque already has something equivalent), considering the following for new 4th level: Enervation, Phantasmal Killer, or this one, even though it's not as good as the other two and allows more saves: Masochistic Shadow. My save DC would be 1 higher with the last one, since it's a shadow spell.

Thoughts on these options, or other suggestions?

Is there any issue in PFS with taking spells tagged as evil?

I did some digging, and it's OK (otherwise you'd be in serious trouble for use of infernal healing).

One more question for you, Carbide: I've got 3 empty language slots left. Based on what we've fought/talked with or what me might guess of what the future holds, can you recommend relevant languages? Other than that, I'm good to go and will update my sheet.

Senja, how is your mom doing?

She's doing much better, Carbide! Thanks very much for asking. I'm back in Boston for a couple of weeks, got here yesterday with my younger son who hasn't seen his grandma in close to two years. She is responding really well to the chemo, has more energy and is cognitively a lot sharper than she was in the depths of pre-treatment cancer.

She's about a month into 4.5 months of chemo, so there will still be challenges ahead, but the general trend is very much towards getting stronger and healthier, which is not what I expected a couple of months ago.

Good to have you back with us, Eva. It didn't seem right to make the usual joke about avoiding bears after hearing about a fatal bear attack near Durango CO a few months ago.

I missed that one, so a bear joke would've been fine.

In reality, the bears we have out here (black bears) are mostly harmless; you really only run into issues if you're asking for it or they've been fed (i.e. someone else was asking for it on your behalf).

Goin' on a trip and not taking a computer. I'll have my phone, but not planning on posting much (if at all). I'll be back Wednesday or Thursday.

Are folks busy with other things? Torque has been the only one posting lately; I figure Asvald's move is probably taking more time than expected (as one should expect...), Eva should be back, and Senja may still be dealing with family.

I ended up on another trip and have been dealing with some personal stuff, but I think it's mostly just feeling hard to move this one forward... one of those catch-22s where there's little momentum, so no one posts, which lowers the momentum...

I'll be back tomorrow or the next day and will try to help get us moving again.

I know how that goes; when there aren't a lot of posts happening and I have other things going on, it's easy to let it go until someone else posts.

I'm alive! I'm ready for some post rest and communal resist energy action.

I heard indirectly that Khel is OK; he had to deal with a major work issue on v. short notice, and has been out of communication because of that. I'll continue to bot Senja until he gets back.
