Question - I know summons are limited to Unchained, but Naturalist is listed under a the normal Summoner Archetype and not the Unchained.

Are the ones in Unchained just knew or are they the only ones Unchained can pick from confused

Also are we allowed any extensions because of site issues?

I have Gaffy figured out as a character, though did get side tracked because there are no avatars that look like her so googling them was distracting.

But I could have her finished in 9 hours (it's 7:30am here and I have work today)

If not that's fine, another pre made character ready for adventure then :P

Sorry I am fer not knowin' how ta' answer yer question. :(

*Hugz*

I must admit to not even having opened the pages of 'Unchained'. (>_>)

Still, power to those who want to have/take the options! :)

Aye! Tha' board be right squirrely!

They be got'a chasin' tha' Goblins out'a theys systems agin.

"That's ok! Gaffy says cheerfully, swinging her legs back and forth on the barrel she managed to conquer "I am me, no changing that, and if this me isn't allowed on the sea we'll see where me can be eventually!" she bursts out laughing at the silliness of the rhymes.

Sunny smiles, grins and giggles along with the fey lass perched upon the barresls. (^_^)

Very best of luck and well wishes to all who're applying. :)

Reijo shakes his head. Way too much cheerfulness and silliness for him, judging by his dour expression.

Good luck! And don't mind Reijo. My character is a grumpy arse, but I'm not. :)

Giggling at the antics of Sunny, she remarks "Elf you say? This ones for you."

"Kapteeni tarttui hänen suosikkihattuunsa
Hymyilevä alas, josta hän istui.
Hän ajatteli, että hän läpäisi
Voi, mutta vain vähän kaasua
Hän täytti panttioonsa riistellä!"

Elven:

"The captain gripped his favorite hat
Grimacing down from where he sat.
Thinking he would pass
Oh but just a little gas
He filled his pantoloons with scat!"

Pausing a moment, she acknowledges "Uh...I think it loses a bit in the translation."

I believe everything is done in my profile. The site being down has been troublesome. Please let me know if I missed anything. Good luck all!"

Thurden cocks an eyebrow at Tessa while she rattles off the limmerick in Elven. His lips move along as the woman talks, trying to make sense of her words. 'What?'

He stares blinking for a moment before returning to his thoughts grumbling 'Not so much jawing down in the galley, nice and quiet, just me and the pots and the sway of the sea.' The dwarf clearly feels uncomfortable as just a passenger.

Dwarf in Zakgrob's way. Zakgrob is trying to cook AND listen to crazy singing poetry lady.

Reijo's nose twitches as it picks up the scent of something distasteful. Turning his head, he spots the goblin cook...

"Oi! Who let the bloody bilge rat in'ere?"

Staring suspiciously at Zakgrob, the gruff sailor reaches for his cutlass as he rises to his feet...

That is dwarf's cooking. Zakgrob good cook. Come, taste. You like.

Well, I've got the duettist bard mostly done (but not her monkey familiar)...and then I noticed that her backstory is set in the Shackles, while your game starts in Magnimar!

After swearing for a while, I suddenly realized that I already have a Magnimar-based skill monkey character/alias: Shaedeen Valzanar. The linked version is a 3rd-level rogue in a stalled Rise of the Runelords game, but I still have her 1st-level Word doc on my laptop and am editing it even now. Her backstory is simple to change: instead of fleeing Magnimar north by land, she hops a ship out of port. Some of her abilities and choices (Sczarni Sign Language, the Burglar archetype) might be next to useless in a Skull & Shackles campaign...but she's a more fun character to play when she gets a bit frustrated, so that might work out OK.

1) Are applications still being accepted?

2) Would you consider 3rd party? I've got an idea for a Kinetic Scourge Mageknight using Spheres of Power, swinging between ships, pulling people off of opposing ships, and locking down enemies where he wants them!

A cocky wise-ass originally hailing from the Shackles, Desi Delgado happened to be on the wrong side of a scuffle with Magnimarian officials, one of a few who had survived the turning tide of battle on the high seas, and taken prisoner. Perhaps due to his young age, or maybe a bit of Besmara's luck smiling down upon him, he'd been spared a heavy sentence, and now that he's done his time.... It's back to a pirate's life for Desi! ...As soon as he gets home, that is.

*Waves to the new folks* (^_^)

"Hey-YA there!"

Um.. I dun't think there be much in'a way of 3rd party stuffs.... I be thinkin' tha' Dm be wantin' every one bein' able to get a look-see at every thing every one has got...

Um.. I dun't think that come out tha' right way... (>_>)

Luckily enough, everything I've asked for or will ask for is available freely in the wiki I've linked, though I understand the apprehension. It's still, barring specific cheese (which you'll get with any product, Paizo or not), one of the more interesting and less absurdly powerful magic systems around, and I'd be using a pretty small subset therein. The idea of an energy-based grappling hook pirate just... speaks to me. Having a bit of movement/action control on a single target is a little bit of gravy, of course, but the damage isn't very significant.

I believe it's safe to say we are still accepting new applicants. At least Camris hasn't said we're no longer accepting new applicants. :)

Not sure about 3rd party, Joseph, so I'll leave that to Camris when he returns. He's only specified some Razor Coast material to date.

Also, Profession Smith, I wouldn't worry too much about being from the Shackles instead of Magnimar. I get the strong impression it's just a short stay there anyway. It's easy enough to add a sentence or three to explain a stay there when you're a... ahem, a sailor. Of sorts... Anyway, though Camris is of course the arbiter I'd guess pick either character you'd prefer. I also like the idea of a pirate secret code / sign language btw. Maybe Reijo will take a rank in Linguistics if you're picked... ;)

Actually, while I believe the duettist bard and valet monkey familiar would be fun, I KNOW how much fun Shaedeen can be, and the idea of her becoming a pirate has so many wonderful possibilities. I'm going with her for my submission.

Having given the cute limerick lass a quick hug Sunny bounces over and offers a hand for shaking by Shaedeen. (^_^)

The smiley, bouncy, happy, huggy elf catches Shaedeen in the act of giving herself a smelfie. After politely greeting Sunny, Shae shows her ignorance of sea travel by asking, "I don't suppose there's a tub on this...tub?"

'I ain't been doing no cooking this trip, I don't work if I gotta pay for passage. And I wouldn't trust what the little green fella's got going in that stewpot of his. I worked with Goblin cooks before. The got a funny notion of what 'food' is.' The dwarf casts a sniff at Zakgrob's cooking and winces.

'Should be a dish washing tub in the galley. Though I figure we can lower you over the side if you want a quick dip.' Thurden laughs at his own joke.

'Hello, everyone. I heard that there will be a ship leaving from here soon. Me and Frances would be delighted to get to explore the seas finally' Serendi says while lighty petting an otter that's standing on her shoulder.

Serendi starts looking towards the sea and looks like she's totally lost in thought. After a moment she clearly remembers something and turns back toward the others. 'Oh my, I forgot to introduce myself again. I'm Serendi. Nice to meet you all.'

I'd like to try out this form of playing so I'd like to present Serendi as a choice if it's not too late. I'll write her background after this because I clearly forgot to save it on the character yesterday.

Yes they are. Probably make selections Sunday.

No Spheres of Power for this Adventure, sorry.

I'm going to assume that Spheres of Might is likewise off the table, and as such, will be preparing a new concept, or at least, attempting to.

Ya'll have room at the table for a monk or a magus?

Natloz: A monk or Magus would be considered along with all the others.

There's always room for one more!

Hmmm.. I got to get me a size forty seven and a half...

Holy crap! You have an alias or two there...

For your viewing pleasure I present Marco for consideration.

Background:

Marco was taught the ways of the sea from an early age. He always seemed to have a knack for it. He earned his own way aboard many a ship scurrying up and down the rigging performing his duties with much enthusiasm. He caught the attention of a wandering warrior who honed his sailor skills into a more martial direction. He's decided he wanted to find out more about fighting and set off on his own.

Just the Unchained version, and any archetypes thereof. If it fits, it should be alright.

Man, the Galley is going to be crowded with cooks of uncertain skill...;P

If your aquatic druid gets in I'm just saying drilling holes into the hull of the bilges of enemy ships while wild shaped sounds like a fun thing to do.

Who ever gets in, have fun and don't forget to be awesome.

Aww darn. Oh well, I couldn't get my concept to really work in Paizo products, anyway. Good luck, and happy sailing!

I be more more'n happy ta' play with EVERY one! (^_^)

But I dun't think tha' DM wants ta' go that crazy... (>_>)

Very bestest of luck ta' every one!

Also, I seem now unable to make posts from my phone. :(

with Over Time mounting higher, this is crimping my play time. :(

"Tanks Sunny. Mayhaps we be seeing more of each other."

Smiling Tessa says, "Even if we don't, here be a story for you."

"I went to one of them anniversary parties d'other day. Couple been together for about 20 years. Well after few hours had to go to da loo."

"There, sitten outside the can, I found the gal's husband. He was sitting there, with his head in his hands sobbing...and sobbing. I asked him 'Hey! What's wrong? Yall celebrating today!"

"Well, he slowly raised his head, looking at me through them blurry eyes. After a long moment, he finally spoke."

"'I just realized', he said, 'if I'd just killed her, I'd be on probation today!'"

Hope your phone starts working better for you. I finally broke down and got the wayfinder ap myself for OT situations.

Oh, I can read the forums. I can reply to most of the other forums I look in on. I just get an error message when I try and post to the Paizo forums. :(

Reijo frowns at the end of Tessa's short tale. "Wuh? But that don't make no sense li'l love. Bloody lad coulda off'd tha misses an' gotten away with it just fine... if he was shifty as a sand diver 'bout it, ya see." He smirks with that last sentence fragment.

Taking a puff of his pipe, he exhales as he finishes his thought, "That be the problem with folks today. No bloody creativity."

Pirate Speak:
"Shifty as a sand diver" = Evasive

I like to sometimes explain piratey phrases in spoilers, btw.

Good luck all! Including you and your phone, Sunny!

Uh, Make that Monday. You guys make this tough.

Apologies for not taking part in the impromptu roleplay but I've been taking care of a friend who's under the weather so my spare time has been going towards the game I am in.

In hindsight I realise I should have remade the fighter I played through part of book one before. Grogant the Adventurer! he became very surprised when the group made him captain. He used to roll a lot of 20s!

I was going to make a funny in-character post about how it WAS Monday according to his Goblin calendar which may differ from yours, or a "Vote Zakgrob" joke, but decided against. =)

Good luck to all!

Am wishen every one all'a very ebstest! (^_^)

I also have the "Aquatic Adventures" book. Some quite naffy stuff in there. A rebadged 'Apparatus of Kwalsh' makes a nice appearance. :)

Wait...? It's Tuesday where I'm posting... (>_>)

Shaedeen actually seems to actively consider the first option for a moment, but her eyes narrow at the dwarf's suggestion of a quick dip in the ocean. "No thanks, I believe I'll pass on that," she says a bit tersely.

Good luck to all the applicants!

Sunny looks at Shaedeen and Thurden. "Whut's wrong with swimmin' in'a ocean?" She asks inquisitivly, seeming to find something odd in what they are saying.

"There's nothing wrong with swimming in the ocean," Shaedeen replies. "Getting dragged along behind a sailing ship's a whole other matter."

Sunny scratches her blond mop. "I done it a couple'a times." She giggles "Is kind'a fun!"

They tied a... um... bit'a wood on't rope like a..um.. Ah! Handle! An' when tha' wind were right an' tha sails were full I were standin' on'a board an' I were scootin' along a'hind tha' ship." The tanned Elf explains exhuberantly

"It were fun!" She exclaims again. (^_^)

First I would like to thank all of you who expressed interest in our game.
I am grateful for the real effort you all made to create a character in order to join and I hope you'll stick with us in the future as we take our first steps up the gangplank to adventure!

That said, I would like to invite to our game:

”Thurden 'Salt' Leadbeard” --Bahbrahb
