@ Barca, I know that it does not expand to mutagens, nevetheless I think he is quite skilled in handlings flasks of all kind.

Explosions, noise, smoke etc. just fascinate him, the raw power of magic and elements mixed to bring devastation. Yeah he is weird, but he might develope :-)

VP here!

That's great! I was going to go animals patron, but plant is far more appropriate! I'm really liking how she turned out now!

I thought that making her Patron an Eldest (that's what the fey equivalents of demon lords are called right?) would suit. Because its a fey region, thats why she got the vision and rat-aided navigation!

So she might discover the identity, and get in tricky situations with that! Could be fun!

Probably the best roles for her would be magister or councillor (I tihnk that's wis or int?), especially see her as a wise elven councillor with her decent Wis score and her optimism towards humans.

Pausing to wipe a speck of spittle which somehow settled in the eye, randall793 replies in kind, drowning the beast's roar while ushering the primal rage within in preparation to attack. A mighty overhead cleave destined for the chupacabra's neck, narrowly misses by a finger breadth as the beast instinctively jumps away.

Battle Response:
Seeing his party members in danger, Edrukk launches himself towards the beast, waraxe in hand, planting himeself firmly between the creature and its preferred target. He cries out "Come and get me foul beast" in dwarven as he drives his waraxe towards the heart of his foe. He curses in dwarven when the creature moves out of the way at the last second. "Give me your best shot."

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 attack roll with charge bonus

The roar sends fear tingling down Verik's spine, but he tightens his grip on the haft of his morningstar and rushes forward. "What is this thing?" He calls as his sturdy legs propel him towards the beast.

But before a reply is forthcoming the creature is looking past his armored bulk to a more vulnerable target, and that cannot be allowed. Arriving before the beast he bellows, "Fall of your belly transgressor! I judge you and find you wanting!" his voice coursing with righteous wrath as Abadar's power lends his command a divine mandate.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

"Hit it with everything you have." Verik calls grimly, as the beast obeys his command raising his morningstar ready to put the beast down, they cannot afford to have its like picking off livestock if these lands are to flourish.

Actions move forward and use the Command Domain, DC 15, ability 6/7 uses remaining. I'll make the Chupacabra's will save though of course normally I would not. I'm double checking the DC btw, as the subdomain does not contain a mechanic for estblishing it, I'm guessing 1/2 cleric level + wis mod. based upon the few domain abilities with DC mechanics and I've asked the question in the rules forum.

Questions:
What's with Dex as a dump stat? With your stats, I picture her as a force of nature used to barreling over obstacles, whether in combat or social situations, rather than finesse.

Answer:

The key lies in level 2. The Jemini's build is about 20% paladin, 80% fighter - with the exception of level 2 where Jemini takes 1 level of Oracle of Lore (ties in with Irori and search for self-perfection) along with the revelation Sidestep Secret; this will allow her to use Charisma instead of Dexterity as AC bonus.

I picture her as softly touched by divinity - a fate blows about her that ushers her forth to her destiny. Certain levels (like level 2) bring a new element to her ascension that validate the character.

If you need more samples, the link to Bats in the Belfry that Rellen posted earlier is also a game I'm in. I'm playing Ausk, a half orc oracle(and eventually barbarian and rage prophet) in that one; he hasn't really developed beyond a basic background yet, but as he levels he will eventually become a rage prophet as he learns to accept and deal with the voices in his head.

Edit: And though it was not originally intended, in actual play he is turning out to be like Minsc in many respects; the pet weasel, originally done as a random thing, is proving to be a fun aspect to roleplay with.

Note: Checked on the proper DC for the Command ability and it would actually be DC 14 since it is 1/2 Clerics level (rounded down) + ability mod. + 10.

Charred bones rattle together as a counter point to the dread incantation she proclaims, each arcane syllable laden with power, as dark runes, more slashes where light ceases to be than a glow, appear temporarily around her wrists as she raises her hands and then seems to lunge pointing at the beast and spitting the last word with vemonous intent.

She casts cause fear (DC 16 fear, mind-affecting effect, only affects 5HD or less) on the chupacabra, trying to make it turn tail and flee, leaving it exposed and unlikely to mount an assault.

Response:
Always quick to react headless of the danger, Obard rushes forward before anyone else.

Acrobatics 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
He dives, ducks, and tumbles his way around the beast trying to avoid the gnashing teeth so that he may provide a flank for the fighter. Unable to move quickly enough, Obard is bitten by the beast. Once in position though, Obard readies to strike as soon as the fighter moves up so that he may be able to catch it unbalanced trying to defend its self against two combatants.
Attack w/dagger w/flank 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 2 = 22; Damage w/sneak 1d3 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + (4) + 1 = 7
As the fighter rushes the beast, he gives a mighty swing of his sword, throwing his momentum behind the blade digging deep into the beasts hide. Obard uses the moment of distraction from the fighter to stab the beast in its side, just above the hip bone, causing the creature to falter. The wound will hamper the beast, slowing it down if it chooses to run.

11. Shieldknight - Obard Falconsflight, CG Halfling Male Rogue

Questions:

What would bring him to join up with the expedition and the long-term commitment that it entails?

Answer:
Obard has been traveling for years and has found he is longing for the family he grew up with in Varisia. Though they were gypsies, they were still a family. Perhaps it is the companionship that family gives, or maybe the stability of knowing that there is someone that has your back when you need it. Whatever the reason may be, it eats at him more and more as time passes. After every "incident" in each new settlement that he visits, during the long days alone on the road, he begins to long for this void to be filled.

Now, once again, he finds himself caught in the same loop. He needs to leave before everyone in this new town wants to hang him from the nearest bush. Who would have known that the citizens of Restov were so grumpy? One night, while contemplating what to do next, Obard overhears several adventurers talking about a new charter being offered by the Swordlords. Here is his chance to get out of town. Perhaps these adventurers could use someone with his skills?

Stealth 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24; Sleight-of-Hand on the wizard 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13; Bluff 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Obard quietly glides up to the table with the adventurers, notices something of value, retrieves it, and sits down at the table with his oversized mug of ale. ”Hello fellow adventurers. I believe one of you lost this on your way in tonight.” Obard places a couple of coins on the table. ”I couldn’t help but notice you may be in need of my services. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Obard Falconsflight. Scout and procurer of items and services at your service.”

Whether or not Obard sticks it out, is entirely up to the rest of the party. If he feels needed and the group becomes his new family, he will stay to the end. If he ends up feeling like an outcast, he will move on and find another place to call home. Not that he has started off on the right foot.

Background

Spoiler:
Berrin seemed to have a knack for getting himself into trouble. Maybee it was his easy smile, or maybee his brazen mouth, whatever the reason he always seemed to be in some sort of trouble.
From an early age he always seemed to be yelled at by angry people or fighting with the other boys. He didn't mean any harm, trouble just seemed to deck up wherever he went.
Not having many options when growing up, Berrin opted for joining the Red Stripe, a band of mercenaries, at an early age. Military life never suited him all that well, standing in line and waking up at certain hours just never seemed to work out for him. He did as good as the next man in a fight but the in-betweens often became quite booring wich often led to terms in the brig or on s@$* detail. Sticking with the band for two years he saw and did many things he would rather forgett, in the end he got fed up with it and slipped away in the dark.
Leaving the band didn't bring him better fortunes. Coming away from military life stronger and tougher but non the wiser led to Berrin getting into trouble with the law over some missing teeth and ruffled feathers of preened birds. Falling in with a different crowd was another note in Berrin's string of luck. Gamblers, hustlers and thieves became fast friends of his as he thought he was 'living life to the fullest'. Getting paid his due for miss-honest work, he ran errands, convinced people that paying their debpts was in theyr best interest and worked as a guard at various ale houses and unofficial Calistrade temples.

It was during one such shift that Berrin was urged to disapear. One night he was called from the door by a frantic girl named Melissa. Following her into the house the sounds of pained screaming became loder and louder and with it his step got faster and faster. Coming into the chambers of Alda, the most bautifull girl working the house in Berrins opinion, a girl Berrin had taken a fancy to. Beating her with a whip was a young scrawny bastard of a man. Berrin has trouble remembering what came next, what he remembers is coming to his sences with his finger locked around a dead mans neck, beeing shouted at by the mistress of the house, getting up in a daze, somthing pressed into his hands and then beeing rushed out of the house. Packing up his posessions hurriedly he again left in the dead of night.
Finding his way to Restov Berrin saw a chance for a better life with the Swordloards charter, thus the shame in his heart lifted slightly as he saw hope again.

Quick to smile, slow to anger Berrin has an overall positive outlook to life. Jocking and drinking a favorit hobby.

Phew, lots of activity in this thread since last night :)

Answer:
I would say that bitter is a pretty perfect way to describe Zander. He hasn't tried to contact his family since he was turned away and really has no desire to do so. I would say that he definitely feels betrayed.

I actually had a lot of additional background ideas last night that I'll probably add to his profile today if I get a chance. Basically to summarize my ideas though I'm thinking that as Zander has been travelling through the lands with his bitterness against his noble family boiling up inside him he's taken in a lot of the way that common people live and the inequity of their situation. I'm thinking of having him have fallen in with some worshippers of Milani and taken in their teachings about fighting opression and unjust rule and basically coming to have a point of view where he can't stand the nobility and wants to live in a land where the class a person is born into doesn't determine their standing in life. I'll probably run him as a generally serious guy with strong convictions, but who if he's actually able to find people that he trusts will warm up to them and perhaps lighten up a bit. At the starting point of the adventure though I'm imagining he wouldn't be a lot of fun to be around as he won't really trust anybody, but will hopefully be a pretty dynamic character who will change his point of view over time and bond with the rest of the party. Also I'm thinking he's probably afraid of fire.

@Zander I'm not familiar with Milani. Sounds like Zander would want to live in a place like Andoran. What does he think about Erastil, one of the gods of the "simple" commoners? He likely would have been raised as a follower of Abadar, based on his lineage. What does he think of Abadar?

I could adjust Ebrukk to be a arcane caster of some kind if that would help with party balance. If I had known we were going to get this many rangers, I probably would have made him something else, most likely a witch or a sorcerer. The basic concept is not actually all that class dependent.

@DM Barcas:

Answers as requested:

Alkenstar is quite far from the Stolen Lands. Are you going to keep the current background or adapt it more specifically to Kingmaker?

I'll keep the current background as his origin story, but bring it up to date to position him in the Stolen Lands like so: he finally DID get "the call" to join a group heading out into the world. The Church of the Keeper of the First Vault in Alkenstar sought to send him, their most naturally gifted cleric in years, out with a band of clerics whose stated goal was to make sure any group of adventurers seeking to tame the stolen lands would know the word of Abadar, and build a kingdom based on order and law. He may be a slightly older, slightly wiser Taisper than the one in the bio, but is still essentially the same Wide-Eyed Golden Boy.

What would you envision his role being, both in combat and in social situations?

In combat, Taisper would seek to buff his party first, but then immediately launch into the fray as he would not let his companions stand alone, especially since he can handle himself in a fight. Also, while he can heal, he is not specifically a "healing cleric" in attitude or demeanor. The party would be his current community, and like all communities would probably have its desirables and un-, and each would be worked with or around as appropriate. He assumes healing a party member will pay back dividends and he wouldn't hesitate to play favorites w/r/t who gets healed first, though he wouldn't readily admit to himself that was what he was doing.

Taisper's social role is as the "let's all get along" guy, diplomat, and friend-seeker first. If there is no leader in the party then he will just naturally seek to lead, but if there is a clear leader then he will take up his role as "Beta Male," preferring a well-understood and well-ordered hierarchy to any kind of needless bickering over who gets to be in charge. His life has been one wherein everything has pretty much Just Gone Great, and he would seek to spread that bright and easygoing feeling around as much as possible, assuming naively that everyone he meets is open to that vibe.

And, for the chart:
Name: Taisper Stosz
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Class: Cleric
Deity: Abadar
Combat Role: Hybrid Caster/Combat
Social Role: Everyone's friend. Diplomat.
Alignment: Lawful Good
Personality: Innocent

I thought I should address the second part of the question a bit more thoroughly. Jemini is driven and strong-willed; certainly. But she's not a barbarian who forces her way through combat with brute strength, she's a trained duelist stepping on the path to become a true sword lord. If possible she prefers to single out one opponent and fight fair and square. Yielding where necessary and taking when appropriate.

Socially she's got all the graces and social decor one would expect a noble born lady to carry. Although she's quite smart, she harbors a dislike for raw facts; instead she appreciates taking stock of a situation and coming to conclusions based on immediate insights. She is not above using her position as a noble-born, her beauty, or her presence of personality - and she's generally wily enough to know which one is more appropriate in a given situation. But she's not the type to steamroll over social encounters: experiences (especially new ones) are part of what make her stronger; as such she is loathe to direct an encounter towards it conclusion merely for the sake of ending it.

@Jemini What will her curse be if she takes a level in Oracle?

@DRA & Rellen As it stands, your human male Clerics of Abadar are functionally identical, although I like both personalities. Any chance one of you might want to change from a Cleric to something else while keeping the same personality?

DM Barcas wrote:
@Jemini What will her curse be if she takes a level in Oracle?

I was thinking Haunted was ideal. In my interpretation it would not specifically be "malevolent" spirits; but spirits of all creeds that are turned to her in an attempt to be part of her destiny. Both the negative aspect and the positive (mage hand and ghost sound) would essentially be the actions of spirits rather than Jemini. So instead of casting mage hand, she feels the compulsion of a kind minded force that beckons a key closer to her (mage hand). She doesn't distract the guard, a voice from beyond calls out her destiny and spooks the guard (ghost sound).

Lucky that I'm online now :)

Here's the Pathfinder Wiki entry on Milani. She's a minor goddess, but according to this her clergy is active in the River Kingdoms, which is pretty much where this adventure takes place. Erastil is a little too lawful for me, though he is all about the hunt which could theoretically work. Assuming that you're cool with me sticking with Milani, I've gotten some more background written up and in my profile. This part even includes a bit of dialogue! I'll put it here for ease of reading... turns out I kind of wrote a lot, heh.

As to Abadar and his early religious upbringing, he never really took much interest in his religious studies back then. He agrees with some of the precepts of Abadar's faith, but has never really felt anything the clerics of Abadar said hit home with him. Nowadays he's probably even less of a fan of Abadar given the god's strong following among aristocrats.

Also I'd like to note that my character concept has apparently evolved to Phantom of the Opera/Robin Hood/Che Guevara/Frankenstein. Good times! :)

Background Part II:
As Zander has travelled throughout the lands of Brevoy he has nurtured a great sympathy for the common people of the land. He sees them toil their lives away in the fields, forests, and mines only to have most of their earnings stolen away by the nobles' tax collectors. He sees them grow sick and die with no doctors to cure them and thinks back to the times growing up when his father's clerics would be called in to magically heal his scraped knees and bee stings. He sees the way that passing nobles treat them, like dogs or herd animals living for no purpose but to do their bidding. And he is disgusted. His feelings of betrayal at what his family did to him combined with what he has seen boil up inside of him and fuel his growing hatred of the ruling class. He lives on the fringe of society watching them and hating them, but does nothing.

One evening while Zander is passing by a tavern, he overhears a speech coming from inside that piques his interest. Cracking open the door, he listens as an old man speaks to the patrons about rising up against the opression and fighting back againt their rulers. He slowly slinks inside keeping his hood drawn and takes a seat near the back of the bar. The speaker goes on to tell of how the Goddess Milani supports their struggle and how they can overcome the noble class if they unite. When the man finishes his speech, Zander stands and begins clapping loudly, but soons realizes that the rest of the patrons are silent and disinterested in the speaker's words. Not used to being singled out, he quickly returns to his seat hoping his outburst didn't draw too much attention. As he sits silently nursing his drink and thinking to himself, he is interupted by a voice from above. "Well there sonny, it looks as if my words fell on deaf ears aside from you. May I join you?"

Not having been spoken to in months, Zander fumbled for his words, keeping his eyes on his drink, "Um, sure. Yes, that would be fine." Zander could hear the old man take a seat at table with him, but kept from making eye contact. Even with his mask, he had sent children crying to their parents just from spotting the twisted flesh exposed by the holes cut for his eyes.

"It seemed that you took an interest in my speech. Have you heard the call of Milani, son?" the old man asked.

"I.. I'm not familiar with Milani. But you did speak the truth. The way these people live.. what the nobles do to them.. it's.. it's disgusting!" punctuating his last word, Zander looked up into the old man's face and was momentarilly shocked to see milky white eyes looking back at him.

The blind man spoke, "Yes. Disgusting it is, but Milani teaches us that we must stand up and speak out to our brethren against our opressors, even if they have no interest in hearing what we have to say." he finished with a chuckle.

The old man introduced himself as Lorek, an oracle of Milani, and they talked late into the night. The next day they set out on the road together as traveling companions. They traveled across the land, Lorek preaching the word of Milani and doing his best to stir the people to action and Zander watching from the sidelines taking in everything Lorek said like a sponge to water. As the years passed, their following grew and soon several men followed Lorek and joined him in speaking out against their opressors. Zander always kept a distance from his new companions and they from him. He trusted only Lorek and could only be sure the old man wouldn't betray him because he couldn't see him, couldn't be repulsed by him.

One night as Zander was standing guard in their camp, sitting on a log and sharpening an arrow, Lorek approached and sat down next to him. The old man stared off into the night for a time and then began to speak. "Zander my boy, I've been keeping something from you." The hairs on the back of Zander's neck shot up and he turned to Lorek as the oracle continued to speak, "Three months ago I was delivered a vision in the night. I saw you, many years from now. You were a father of a kingdom. You and a handful of others had founded a nation. A nation where all men and women were equals and were united for the common good."

Zander began to laugh, "You must have had too much to drink that night old man! Me, the founder a kingdom? Perhaps Milani was playing a prank with your mind!"

Zander's laughter was cut short by a bonk on his head by the old man's walking stick. "You'd do well to listen to what I have to say! This was a true vision from The Everbloom herself and I acted on it."

"You did what?!" Zander asked, rubbing the growing bump on his head.

"I acted. I had heard rumors some time ago of unsettled lands to the south and it would seem that the Swordlords are chartering groups of adventurous souls to settle them. With a bit of work, we were able to get your name on the list and I have procured for you a charter to begin exploration of the lands south of here." said Lorek as he passed a rolled sheet of parchmet to Zander, who could only look on too shocked to speak. "I have gathered some provisions for you and you set out tomorrow morning. I am told that you are to meet up with another group of adventurers on the road south who share your mission. You must do this Zander. I know it is difficult for you to trust others, but you must. It is your destiny."

Zander was still speachless and could do nothing more than stare at the charter he held in his hands bearing the offical seal of the Swordlords of Restov. The next morning he said his goodbyes to Lorek and set out on the road, headed to the place on his map where Lorek had instructed him to meet up with the other adventurers heading south. As he travelled his mind raced thinking about Lorek's vision, Milani's teachings, and the path that had led him here. Most of all he thought of the people he was to be traveling with and what they would be like. He hoped they were all blind, and then laughed at the absurdity of the thought and smiled.

But I want to celebrate Taxfest... I'll have a look at the other gods, but I don't think I could keep the same backstory and personality

@Rellen Ha! How about an Inquisitor of Abadar?

I'm working on a possible switch to bard. Nothing in the personality or background would change; I would switch int and wis around, giving him a 14 int and 12 wis; I would change the feat as cosmopolitan would no longer be needed, not yet sure what I would replace it with; the weapons would have to be changed; additional skills would be trained, notably knowledge (history); I would switch craftsman to lorekeeper. Otherwise, everything would be the same as far I can figure right now; there might be a few minor things I'm missing.

Edit: Probable roles would be diplomat, magister, councilor, maybe even ruler though that would be a stretch with only a 13 charisma.

@Edrukk - Interesting. The less people who are mutually exclusive, the better.

I'm heading to court in a few minutes. The courthouse doesn't get much cell reception, so I might be out of contact for a few hours. Keep the info coming and let's get a good mix of characters!

Grand Lodge

Id like to toss my hat into the ring, if I may:

-Name: Urug
-Race: Half-Orc
-Gender: male
-Class: Ranger
-Deity: Probably none
-Combat Role: Range
-Social Role: Guide
-Alignment: Neutral Good
-Personality: Curious or Eager

Because of his mixed heritage, Urug was never acccepted in the homes of either parent. After being literally thrown out of his mother's village for being a runt, he went off to find his human father, but was unwelcomed by the members of that village as well. His father would not go against the elders, but did take enough time to teach Urug to at least shoot a bow, if only a little.

Urug has survived for several years living mostly on his own out in the forest, only going into a proper settlement when he absolutely had to, preferring to keep away from those who clearly didn't want him around anyway.

When the call went out from Bevoy for those who would be willing to travel to untamed lands to help settle a colony, Urug decided if ever a chance was given to start a new life, this was his. He set out, hoping to be chosen.

For an attack:
After hours of sitting patiently in the tree, Urug finally spots a doe who unknowingly wanders into his range. He stills his cold fingers, and nocks the arrow. Drawing the string back slowly, he lets out the breath he had been holding, and fires. The doe moves to take a step, but the arrow lodges itself right into the shoulder, making her trip. As Urug jumps down to pursue her, she takes to her feet, and attempts to flee, but the shot was well placed. She doesn't get far before collapsing.

@DM Barcas and @Rellen: I could easily switch to Inquisitor or Paladin (of Abadar, obv.) and keep what I've got. I'll put up new builds for you tonight. Rellen you can stay as you are, I'll take a chance on the build tweak. :-)

This is Meowzebub's Gnome Cavalier. Her full profile including background and appearance is available on the avatar page, subject to slight changes such as starting wealth.

Answer for DM Barcas:
Betony is of the Order of the Shield. She has been raised by her Druid mother to be a warden for their clan. As such she has maintained peace in the forest, friendly with those who respect the Forest, but firm against those who transgress. She leaves her forest home to investigate the rumors of war, and how they might affect her home. If possible she seeks to steer the strife away from her homeland, and yet help those now caught in its path.

For the table:

Name: Betony Alilia
Race: Gnome
Gender: Female
Class: Cavalier, Order of the Shield, Wolfrider
Deity: Green Faith
Combat Role: Melee (Tank and Charger)
Social Role: Nature Friend, Champion of the innocent against oppressors; Warden/Marshal by choice, Ruler if convinced
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Personality: Blithe (with bouts of concentration and firmness when required)

Writing Sample:

The beast rears up as it spots the brave adventurers, testing their mettle as it roars. Its maw is filled with more sharp teeth than can be counted and its talons drip with blood from a fresh killed goat. Down its back, sharp quills stand at attention as it arches and prepares to leap upon the weakest-looking of the group.

Betony sees the creature's eyes fix upon her. Being so small she is quite used to being underestimated. This creature had been praying on the local farmers for too long. In a wild rush she spurs Thistledown toward the beast, yelling, I may be small, but you will find me hard to swallow! She lowers the twisted and coiled oak branch that is her lance. The creature rears up in defiance, and Betony's smile cracks wide. The lance stretches for the monstrous heart.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 262d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 5) + 4 = 12

Betony feels the lance point scrape along the ribs beneath its scaly hide.

Confirmation 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Until the point finds purchase and sinks deep. Too deep, as the lance is torn from her grip.

4d6 + 8 ⇒ (2, 6, 3, 1) + 8 = 20

She reaches to draw her axe as Thistledown wheels to the left. Over her shoulder she sees it is not necessary. The beast lay pinioned to the ground, the pommel of the twisted oak lance raised high with its fluttering woven banner of tree and wolf. She instead reaches down and ruffles Thistledown's fur, Now who is a good boy!

DM Barcas, I definitely didn't want something to seem cheesy, like a crit on a charge, but those were the dice I was given, so I made the best of it. But at least this also gives you a glimpse of Betony's full potential on a really successful charge.

As to my posting history, it is true I don't have much, but I mostly lurk on the boards, but that lurking is several times a day, so posting in a game on a regular basis would be no problem at work or home. Thanks for your consideration.

@Downrightamazed The idea of a friendly, happy-go-lucky Inquisitor makes me laugh.

OK, I'm removing Sir Manfred VonFalkenburg and submitting instead Sir Gaven D'Monteforte, all other info the same.
I'm thinking Order of the Cockatrice, at least to start. Later he'll have a revelation and switch to one of the others...

6. Vanulf Wulfson - Orin Ro, CG Half-Elf Male Ranger

Questions:

I'd do the same for Heirloom Weapon that I did to Sword Scion, as it is simply more powerful than most feats. What is his attitude and personality like? On his revenge quest, would he have done it alone or in a group? Would you intend to multiclass him to ranger/rogue or is that just to put something in his second favored class?

Answers:

The heirloom weapon trait was more for fluff as he had taken his adopted father's bow. I can change it, if you'd like. I look on him as someone who is a loyal friend and companion who is capable of laser like focus on the task at hand. I had seen him taking his revenge single handedly, running a hit and run campaign against the bandit's band until he had whitled them down. I'm still torn about Rogue as the secondary class. I had originally planned on going two-handed style, but changed my mind instead to a THF style.

For the table:

Name: Orin Ro
Race: Half-elf
Gender: Male
Class: Ranger (Skirmisher)/ Rogue (Scout)
Deity: Erastil
Combat Role: Melee (Tank/Sniper)
Social Role: Forester/Warden
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Personality: Open, honest, blunt (Sometimes brutally so).

Edrukk has been updated to be a bard; see profile for full details.

Deity: Torag
Combat Role: Support
Social Role: Ruler(if necessary), Councilor, Grand Diplomat, Magister
Alignment: Lawful Good
Personality: Quiet, friendly, determined, patient

ranger character submission

You might want to see what others have put forward to prevent overlap as much as possible. I just changed from ranger as there were 2 or 3 rangers submitted and competing with each other. You can still put a ranger in, but understand that conflict with other submissions could cause you to have to adjust your character later on.

Dark Archive

Alright. Let's see here..

Name: Magnus Tolkar
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Class - Summoner
Deity -
Combat Role - Dedicated Caster
Social Role - Best suited for Magister / Councilor; could also rule if it happened that way...
Alignment: Lawful Good
Personality: Determined

I'll make a face for him and post a background tonight - I have to prep for college now, Barcas, but expect it on time.

I just noticed that in the Social Role field most people are putting what role they would take in the Kingdom. I must have missed the point of that spot a bit. Zander would be best as a Marshall I would say.

I was thinking the same thing. "Whistling a jaunty tune as he hunts you down like the dog you are, Taisper the Inquisitor is a friendly sort..."

I also dig the possibility of a cleric and inquisitor of the same god playing off each other. I'm in that situation right now in one of my IRL campaigns and it's a blast, the differences in approach serving the same ideology.

"Hey there, buddy! You wouldn't have gone and committed heresy, now wouldja?"

@Rizzym I know how you feel. Between work, court appearances (where I am now, waiting on the prosecutor to chat about one of my cases), extra jobs, my wife and dog, and classes, I get pretty swamped sometimes.

Grand Lodge

Per Edrukk's suggestion, here is a different version of the same character, with different background. id be willing to play either version. Just let me know.

-Name: Urug
-Race: Half-Orc
-Gender: male
-Class: Witch
-Deity: ???
-Combat Role: Caster/ Support
-Social Role: Adviser
-Alignment: NG
-Personality: Serious

Because of his mixed heritage, Urug was always looked down upon in his village. From a young age he was considered to be a runt, and was left out of most of the martial training the other young orcs received. Luckily for him, he inherited many of his mothers magical abilities, and she taught him as much as she could before her untimely death at the hands of an elven scouting party.

Since her death, Urug found himself being tortured all the more, and decided to head (opposite direction of Bevoy from where the forsaken lands are), towards Bevoy to find a new home for himself.

When he learned of the call to go out and help settle the forsaken lands, he nearly leapt at the chance to help. The further he could get from his old life, the better.

OMGOMGOMG THIS! MUST! HAPPEN!

Seriously, that's genius. I'm totally adding that to his profile. Perform(Comedy) gets ranks, and he'll be straight sincere about it, too. HAS to be. "Why go to your eternal reward all grim-n-grumpy, friend? Lemme tell you a story 'bout this uncle of mine, back in Alkenstar city..." *swordpoint at no-gooder's heart*

You could work with Edrukk to develop a comedy routine that they do whenever they go into battle; this would be something he would thoroughly enjoy.

Edit: Being a dwarf, being straight faced for the whole thing would be perfectly doable.

I'm trying to formulate some sort of Death and Taxes gag, but it's not coming together.

Also work has been real slow today so I put together a character portrait here.

An inquisitor of Cayden Cailean: "Greetings friend. I hear you abstain. This I cannot tolerate, you will enjoy this fine lager with me!"
