About Tandlara

History
When Tandlara was young she was told that she was an embodiment of a heroic ancestor, and like her ancestor on her third ascent towards the Brightness she would meet death. These words haunted her for the rest of her live, she became a strange child and spent little time with other elves, interested in magic but not wizardry. She went missing in her eighties, physically grown, but still a minor by elven standards. She reappeared in the forests nearly thirty years later as a witch, accompanied by a large brown rat that lived crawled all over her and lived in her belt pouch. Her strangeness made her seeking out other company and she soon became an adventurer with the Band of the Red Scale and fought a mad necromancer in Druma. After this she went into something of a torpor, and lost much of her power.
Ten years after Aroden's death she was called to the Verduran by an ancient druid and tasked with aiding a group of adventurers in reclaiming and anceint artifact. She made friends with them, and fell in love with a human bard, sharing many adventures with her new friends, but it all ended in sorrow as the man she had fallen in love with died permanently attaining the artifact. In her sorrow she withdrew from the world once more.
Now however, she has seen a vision of something rising in the Stolen Lands granted by her patron and for the last few month her rat, now well over one hundred years old himself and turned entirely grey, shows her the direction she should travel for the day. She arrived in Restov and he stopped, but when she saw the call for adventurers to explore that land seemed a fateful turn and she signed up.
Personality
Tandlara is gentle out of battle, she is possessed with the sad calm of someone who has seen alot of life and death, who has become resigned to the mayfly existence of her human friends, and always smiles in the attempt to enjoy what time she does have. Her sadness and strange appearance and powers often turn people away from her. Her melancholy is always tempered by her optimism and she beleives humans in particular have a great capability for compassion and good.
In battle she is quite wild, and the slight elven woman hisses and spits with ferocity as she casts spells and curses her foes.Returning to eerie calm when peace returns.
Appearance
Tandlara is a tall slender woman, her calm elven face is surrounded by golden hair and seems a frame for her vibrant green eyes that display the fire in her heart. She is quite tanned for an elf, and wheres simply travel clothes in greens and browns and carries a number of charred bone fetishes jangling from her belt.
A white rat lives in a pouch on her belt and can often be seen sticking his nose out, or even crawling up her tunic to rest on her shoulder.
