Dodge a bullet there, Krenn :)

Jerin starts to cast his spell and then Curnach casts hide from animals on everyone, making you all impossible to percieve by the animals.

The sea hag points and the shark doesn't quite know why, but it attempts to bite the area that Krenn is in.

Summon Natures Ally 3.

Krenn swims past the shark, hoping Curnach is right. He'll swim to the square to the right of the hag, trying to keep his shield up between them.

Once there, Krenn drops his shield, takes the trident in both hands and attacks.

Ahh yes, didn't see the spell focuses. If you didn't care about your character's apparence I'd suggest going with bloatmage initiative. Your spells have higher DCs, but you turn into a huge guy.

Death Head's Coffer:

Aura faint necromancy; CL 5th
Slot —; Price 1,000 gp; Weight 5 lbs.
Description
Typically engraved with numerous skulls, these small metal coffers allow the safe transport of infectious substances of up to Tiny size. Closing the lid seals in the contents and holds them in stasis, rendering them immune to aging or any damage. In addition, any infectious material—such as the body of a creature that died of disease—is preserved for as long as the coffer is closed. A death’s head coffer can potentially hold several Tiny items, having dimensions of approximately 4 inches by 4 inches by 6 inches.

A death’s head coffer can spread infections between items. Any item placed into a coffer with a diseaseridden item (something capable of spreading a disease by contact) becomes infected with the same disease. For 1 week after being removed from the coffer, the newly infected item can spread the same affliction as the disease-ridden item to any creature that touches it. For example, a coin placed into a death’s head coffer with a rat infected with the shakes forces any creature that touches the coin to make a DC 13 Fortitude save or become infected with the shakes as well. After a death’s head coffer is closed and then reopened, its magic dissipates, rendering the box completely mundane.

Some death’s head coffers feature complex locking mechanisms, which require DC 20 Open Lock checks to open.

Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, contagion, gentle
repose; Cost 500 gp

This death head's coffer is a small black box, similar to what Brienna Soldado described. The box rattles with the sound of coin and it appears luckily to still be locked as described above the magic aura is removed when opened.

There is a door down the hall to the east which is wide open with what appears to be doctors tools floating about in the water.

Master of Gaming and Grognardia Current map

you guys checking out the remaining open room? Nothings happened in the time of looking over the items.

HP 133/133, AC 26/14/23 CMD 22, F +13, R +10, W +17, P +22, In +11

That looked painful Arianna... Here, eat these. Curnach says, carefully counting out 8 goodberries and handing them to the Bard, and another 8 to Krenn. If you and Krenn gave further wounds we could spend an hour in this room so I could patch them up with my healers kit; we have many hours left on the Water Breathing spell.

Glancing over at the box, Curnach sighs. Well, we had already established a link between this ship and the disease. This merely confirms what we already thought- these black boxes and their contents contained the deadly disease in Korvosa, no doubt shipped here by the Queen.

8HP healed for Krenn and Arianna.

Male Human Wizard (FC) 13 - Enchanter

I know you think me naive, but I still can't see the logic in the Queen putting a disease into her own city. I still wonder if the good doctor may be behind this without the queens knowledge...although I plan to find out as soon as we have a chance.
Have we checked out this door yet?

HP 133/133, AC 26/14/23 CMD 22, F +13, R +10, W +17, P +22, In +11

What about the Queen's actions suggests she is logical? She may be asecret worshipper of Urgothoa, or the Crimson Thrones curse may be manifesting. I haven't been wrong yet about her... but I can see your argument. No, lets swim on through...

We should have plenty of time left on Hide from Animals in case we bump into any more.

You notice this area looks like a infermiry of sorts with various doctor's tools strewn all over the place. heading to the surface or?

Is there more of the ship to explore? like the other half or more rooms on this side?
Arianna will accept the berries that Curnach gives her and then she will use the wand on herself.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

I don't think we should surface just yet. We found the cause of the plague to be sure, but perhaps we can find evidence of who authorized it. I think we should push on checking the wreckage.

Thanks for the healing! Krenn is back up to 33 out of 45 now. For a moment there he was down to 6!

HP 133/133, AC 26/14/23 CMD 22, F +13, R +10, W +17, P +22, In +11

Leave it at that for now- consider yourself healed of 11 more when we retire for the evening (auto-pass DC25 Heal). If there's more to explore lets do it, we leave no stone unturned.

Master of Gaming and Grognardia Current map

You search the rest of this half of the ship and find nothing but more wreckage floating about as well as the occasional fish or two, swimming right past as it doesn't realise any of you are there due to the hide from animals spell still in effect.

You search the second half, seporated by a large undersea rock which the boat smashed itself on when it fell, leaving the smaller front half seporate. You find here there appears to be no obvious items of interest, but in the dark pots and under overturned bunks appear to be these spiney-faced brown eels, commonly known in the region as silt eels. Curnach's knowledge of nature reveals these creatures to be quite aggressive and will attack anyone who they see entering the area.

DM:

Curnach 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
Krenn 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Arianna 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Jerin 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Arianna:

You find this strange, but you notice that both of these areas and the other half of the ship show no evidence of having food or supplies on board. This is strange, especially as this suggests the ship left port with no food or supplies for it's crew members.

Male Human Wizard (FC) 13 - Enchanter

I guess no sunken treasure in this ship...oh well, at least we found out about the chest and the connection. We can now take this to Croft. It may be time to use magical pursuasion on the good doctor to find out what they are really up to...

HP 133/133, AC 26/14/23 CMD 22, F +13, R +10, W +17, P +22, In +11

To Croft then...

Master of Gaming and Grognardia Current map

I'l assume Arianna tells you what's in the spoiler as it's a interesting bit of info

As you exit the water, true to their word the wererats are waiting, reverting back to human form as they help you all out of the water and back into the sewage pipe.

Eries Yelloweyes smiles to you all.
"I'm glad you are all alright. I was afraid something might've happened." she smiles to you all, leading the way back to the streets for you to find your way back to Field Marshall Kroft at the Citadel.

Once there you see more of the guard have contracted the illness and the doctor's physicians are treating the guards with their surgical probing sticks to open up sours and pustiels.

In the office as you enter Cressida Kroft and Dr. Davaulus standing nearby, looking over the Field Marshall's work as they were just discussing something but turn to face you all as you enter.
"I assume you bring back news from investigating the sunken ship?" she asks as she looks over at you and the Doctor appears to look confused.

HP 133/133, AC 26/14/23 CMD 22, F +13, R +10, W +17, P +22, In +11

Noting the doctor's reaction and hoping his companions catch on quick, Curnach replies in an irritated manner- Absolutely nothing i'm afraid Cressida. We were led down a merry chase and into the wrong shipwreck. For our troubles we got wet, and attacked by all manner of sharks. Never again. However, we do have another, unrelated issue to discuss with you- in private if you please, good doctor...

Male Human Wizard (FC) 13 - Enchanter

Yes it has to do with those Lycanthropes we told you about... seeming like he blurts out something he was supposed to keep between Croft and the group...

"I see." she nods and turns to the doctor. "Do you mind leaving us?"

Master of Gaming and Grognardia Current map

The doctors bows, smiling to you all lightly.

"Of course." as he says this he then walks out of the office, leaving you alone with the Field Marshall who looks back to the group

"So...what did you find down there? Something to do with the doctors?" she raises her eyebrow not seeming too surprised.

Female Human (Varisian) Bard / 6

Arianna removes the mask and the unholy symbol from her pack, tossing them on the commander's desk. "We found these onboard the ship, along with the broken remains of several of the coffers that had washed up on shore." She picks up the mask "I find it interesting that this mask, specifically keyed to protect the wearer against the Blood Veil, should be found on the ship before the outbreak of the disease."
"Also we discovered that the ship was completely devoid of supplies and foodstuffs for the crew. Either that ship was launched from a port near enough that supplies were not needed, or that the crew abandonded ship before it sailed into the harbor leaving the poor soul we found alone to sail it as best he could."

The Field Marshall looks over these items as Arianna reveals these items, the mask looking exactly like the doctor's mask and magically made to be immune to the very disease that hasn't yet infected the city. She looks at the unholy item, recognising it and nodding.
"This is all very suspecious. A mask just like the other doctors and the unholy symbol of Urgathoa, goddess of disease from what I've heard. The presance of this unholy symbol is disturbing as is the mask and the ship being devoid of supplies." she looks back to the group with a serious look and a nod. "I'll take a closer look at this doctor and his activities. If I find anything else I will inform you all. Was there anything else you found below?" she asks looking over the group, staring back at the unholy symbol in disgust.

HP 133/133, AC 26/14/23 CMD 22, F +13, R +10, W +17, P +22, In +11

One of the black boxes that carries the disease inside, unopened. It is magical and I have studied it, briefly. I believe it loses its magic once opened, but objects held inside can carry the disease indefiniteiy. Also... Curnach continues, gesturing to Krenn we found this darkwood coffer. We have not opened it, but it may contain valuable information. Lets open it now...
