Gentlemen, Field Marshal. May I introduce Commander Marcus Endrin, Commandant of the Sable Company. Batting my eyelashes. He did not want to play with a distraught housewife today apparently, but instead he wished to speak with your boring group.

Once I am seated in the booth, I drop the disguise reverting to my travelers outfit with a golden wasp brooch. The Hat of Disguise is in the shape of a wasp hair clip. I offer the Commander my hand. Welcome Sir. Well done, and sadly resistant to my charms. May I introduce myself, I am Llyra, Priestess of the Savored Sting. I think you know the good Field Marshal and know of my companions who have staved off several recent disasters in the city.

"The city is my concern, especially since the queen got in charge things have been going wrong. Ever since the death of the kind." he says and looks to the field marshall. "We have met, though I wanted to get to know the heroes of Korvosa in person. Also I would like to discuss what action you'd like to take reguarding the queen."

Aye, I remember you Marcus. Your always welcome at our table. My intentions regarding the Queen?

Curnach leans in, whispering what Krenn and Jerin already know and have heard before to the rest of the table.

"Treason" of the highest order. She is a murderer, an usurper, and not above the law, no matter what she might think on the matter.

"I have some sources inside the castle. There are a few guards who aren't loyal to the queen, but she seems to be removing most of them, however I have one or two inside still loyal. Recently the Queen has been acting strangely and searching the palace vault." he shakes his head not understanding why she did that. "eitherway, if another plague or something else happens in the city I will call on you personally to join me and the guard to try and raid the castle. Can I trust you on this?"

Curnach raises an eyebrow.

I just confessed high treason to you and your asking if you can trust us? But yes. Absolutely. I wouldn't miss it for all the wealth in Korvosa.

Krenn:

you see many people take a look every now and then, however they all appear to be toasting you all as heroes of the city. One or two come past and act a little wabbly on their legs before heading to the rooms at the inn or leaving the inn to go back to whatever home they came from. The loud rowdyness and huge crowd in the area makes it difficult to see if anyone is paying much attention, apart from where Marcus was leering at the gorup.

Watching the Commander very carefully.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

Also scanning the room for any unwanted ears.

Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20

As I noted before, if someone, even the one referred to as the Queen, is causing harm to my home - then you will have all my abilities at your call. And retribution shall be equal to the harm caused.

He appears to be speaking with confidence, though still keeping it quiet so that unwanted ears do not overhear their conversation, but you see nothing wrong with his body language or tone of voice.

I assume you all have proof of her treason? You all have written proof of her treason?
If you don't by what authority would you arrest her? You think we could just fight our way past dozens of guards, past Sabina Merrin to do what...kill her.
On what authority, with what proof? Do you think that the noble families would just sit idly by, that the leaders of the churches would just sit idly by and let us do this.
Let me see...
Jerin casts detect magic

I was just checking to see if you had all be feebleminded and reduced to blabering fools.
We would be the ones arrested and put to death for treason. I see nothing right now that gives us a justifiable reason to even attempt this. So Marcus what proof do you have?

After that, who takes control of the city or do we just let it fall into anarchy again?
Jerin seems pretty annoyed that no one has really thought this through in his perspective...you know he supports getting rid of Lleosa...

"You are right Jerin. All we have is certain suspecions and minor evidence that wouldn't hold up in court." at this Macus sighs in frustraiton, but he knows that you are all right. "In such a situation there is a hiarachy. When the crimson throne was empty the most powerful nobility assumed the throne. In this case the Arkonas would take the throne if the queen was taken off the throne. Glorio Arkona to be king with his wife Melyia Arkona as queen. I personally don't trust them anymore than the queen herself."

Cressida starts drinking a bit and at times gives Jerin a wink or two.

Suspecting the improbability of both Commanders being in the Inn at the same time, Llyra changes the focus of her watching from Macus to Kroft.

Again you don't notice any suspecious body-language or tone of voice. After so many drinks her judgement does appear to be dulling however.

Commander, Field Marshal. Once again, I cannot speak on behalf of the rest of this crew. But, irrespective of our personal or moral beliefs of the current Korvosan queen, what would you like us to do? Currently these three gentlemen are heros of the city, but I am sure that treason would still result in their heads on pikes before the castle as a lesson to those who would question the throne.

To put it another way, I personally have a vendetta against one gentleman in the city who wronged me in a manner you could not imagine. However, once I have tracked down this vile excuse for humanity, Korvosa will still be my home, and I will do all I can to assure that the city once again becomes the great and safe city it once was. But, I will not do it if the mission appears more like a suicide mission. I follow the goddess of lust, not the goddess of foolheartedness.

Thus, what is it specifically you would ask of me, and I assume the rest of the Korvosan Heros, at present while the city continues to remain relatively stable?

You have always been blind to her treason Jerin, despite the constantly growing evidence pointing to it. Its true, we do not have proof- yet. This is why I have been biding my time, as I thought you wise enough to understand. A high priest of Urgathoa admitting the Queen was involved? The Queen's own personal force of bullies present at the very site where they were experimenting to find a way past some Varisian's natural defence to it? The Queen's obsession to convict Trinia for a crime it was obvious she did not commit? Blackjack himself condemning her? All of this points strongly to her guilt.

Male Human Wizard (FC) 13 - Enchanter

We know she is guilty of treason Curnach and probably other things as well we can't even imagine. She has indirectly killed hundreds if not thousands.
She should and will die, but we must do this thing right or all we have done so far for the city and the folk will be for nothing...nothing I tell you.
he says in an almost pleading manner...
He looks away from Curnach wanting to end their arguement before it gets too heated...
Well, on to things that maybe we can deal with right now, Llyra, do you remember where this man was when you first met him or what he looks like? Anything about him that might help us locate him? We may be able to track him down for you. We do have certain resources now at our disposal.
Giving her his most charming smile...

Curnach sighed in exasperation.

Doing things the right way is why I have been waiting for a chance to seize proof, Jerin. I do not need your condescension or your lectures on the subject; this goal is more important to me than any other.

Curnach turns to the Sable Company commander.

Contact us here, discretely, when you have more information. Good day, Marcus.

Marcus nods to Curnach, agreeing.
"I will. I hope my contact gets back to me by then." he raises and leave sfrom the table after finishing the drink and then heading out the door.

Cressida stays with you all, getting to know the new comer and see how everyone is doing. She seems to be acting more out of character the more she drinks and makes sure to sit next to Jerin.

Jerin:

A few times as she talked, Cressida rubs your leg suggestively under the table.

Female Aasimar Cleric 10/Rogue 2) (HP: 101/101; AC: 25; FF: 21; Touch: 14

Turning to Jerin: I wish I could give you his exact address - although if I knew his address, I would probably be staked out in front of his home carefully planning the best way to repay someone for 12 years of nightmares of a raped mother, a broken father and being sold into slavery. I do recall his face - tough and dark with a scar. A short stocky man with dark greasy hair. The Field Marshall says that she know who this is and is attempting to find him, but if you all wish to assist me, I am sure that we could expedite the . . . process.

Regarding where he might me, well, he was in my home those many years ago, then I was bound and gagged and carried to a ship, so I could not tell you the first place to search. But, if the Field Marshall had not been able to assist me, my plan was to start with establishment of lesser repute where such scum tend to congregate. If that did not work, well - looking at my whip once more - I can be very persuasive - in both pleasurable and less than pleasurable ways. Spending four years being taught to be a pleasure slave, one learns all the more - sensitive - parts of the body.

Can move to the next part if you are all ready or felt your characters have gotten along well enough with Llyra?

Perception:1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30

So what brought the three of you together? Two humans and a dwarf. Krenn - you do not look like the typical city dwarf - but appear to have been here for a while. Curnach - my guess is that you grew up with a tough life, but are learning to adapt to some of the nicer things. And Jerin - looking at your lack of sleep, I would say a little obsessed with magic. Not what I have experienced in the past when adventurers came to - worship - at one of Calistrias temples. At the same time, from what I have heard, the Korvosan Heros are rumored to be a tight group capable of defeating great evil including a priestess of Urgathoa. Shaking her head. What a waste, undead, awake all night, but never much . . . fun.

I am ready when everyone else is - if they want to do/say anything else I am open for it, otherwise, ready to march onward --> As long as I get to track down that last guy who sent me into slavery.

HP 133/133, AC 26/14/23 CMD 22, F +13, R +10, W +17, P +22, In +11

Ready to move on.

I wouldn't call myself a typical adventurer; I simply sought vengeance myself and everything progressed from that. I imagine you approve.

Krenn takes his foot off the straps of Llyra's gear when she returns to the table.

I was a guide for trade caravans for a long time. Some years ago, my nephew disappeared here. I spent years trying to find him. Finally I came across others who had a common enemy with me; the person who took my nephew. He's home now, my nephew, and I'm just repaying those who helped make that possible, and the new friends I've made since. He pauses and with a furrowed brow asks aloud Has it only been months? Hmm. It seems like it has been years since all that happened. And yet, it seems like yesterday at the same time. He smiles and looks down in his drink. Strange, the tricks that passion and action can play on the flow of time. With that, Krenn resumes eating, taking great effort to not spill on his tunic or beard, and failing completely.

Ready to advance when everyone else is.

Female Aasimar Cleric 10/Rogue 2) (HP: 101/101; AC: 25; FF: 21; Touch: 14

Wish I could have been here to help you exact your revenge. Sadly three of the four people against who I wish to seek retribution have taken the easy way out by dying before my return - which leaves only one. You see the fire and rage in her eyes again. But, when I find him, revenge will be sweet. Once again Llyra is carefully stroking her whip as she says this.

Grinning - Do you have any idea how long a man can be kept just alive through a combination of a whip and cold water?

DM Aron:

Jerin doesn't do anything to dissuade her. In fact his hand slips under the table to return the favor, he gives her a small inquisitive look, before going back to pretending there is nothing else going on. Croft is a pretty women, not a timeless beauty, but then either is Jerin and she holds power...

The Field Marshall, Cressida Kroft stands up suddenly, taking hold of Jerin's hand.

"Well...the night has been long and I must bid you all good night. Come on you wizard you." she seems to almost pull him out of his chair and marches up the stairs to a room. Thendra looks over, looking confused and a little shocked at the way her friend was acting, but also giving a giggle, looking back to the group before continuing to serve up drinks for all and keep on celebrating the end of the plague and the lives saved.

Will start posting up the new thread now. Look out in OOC and I'll post in links to OOC first and then IC.
