reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
She manages to block most of the flames, but it she still gets horribly burnt from the flames
Round 4
Order:
Curnach Daveck
Krenn Whetstone
Lady Andaisin (reborn)
Arianna Rothschild
Jerinthian Kos

Lady Andaisin AKA DM |

Curnach's fire bunces off the invisable profane shield she had cast on herself and then dispells into the nearby stone wall.
Krenn's attacks launch in, the first landing squarely and slicing off a few of the tenticles used to make her stand whilst the second swing slams int the same invisable shield as before.
She steps back, reeling from the wounds she's taken so far and then casts a spell on herself, channeling this spell into her body and she seems to stop slouching as much as she was, looking somewhat empowered, her wounds having knitted themselves back together, but not all of them as many are still there.
The spell was Inflict Serious Wounds in an attempt to heal herself since she is now undead.
3d8 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5, 8) + 6 = 23
Arianna
Arianna makes sure to remain next to Jerin and casts Grease under Lady Andaisin, however she manages to maintain herself and remain standing despite the grease.
reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

Jerin |

spellcraft 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25
Well I am out of my biggest magic...it wasn't as effective as I had hoped it would be, I guess you should try to help Krenn again or heal yourself so you can.
I can't see the map so I will fire off another magic missle this round.
Magic Missles 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (1, 4) + 2 = 7

DM Aron Marczylo |

The magic missile slam into her with some force, reopening old wounds, but she remains standing and looking feirce and pissed off.
"This temple will be your tomb." she smirks as she is clearly acting confident. Her voice is unnearthly and unnerving.
Round 5
Order:
Curnach Daveck
Krenn Whetstone
Lady Andaisin (reborn)
Arianna Rothschild
Jerinthian Kos

Lady Andaisin AKA DM |

Curnach's flame manages to hit hard on Lady Andaisin, burning her slightly and disfiguring her skin more if it were possible. Krenn's wild swings all appear impressive, but none of them connect.
Lady Andaisin smirks as she decides to retaliate against Krenn.
"I grow tired of this." she says in a bored town as she focuses her strength on another swing, but this time she's unable to penetrait his armour.
attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18
Arianna now moves in and gets hit by Lady Andaisin, however she manages to move into flanking with Krenn and then thrusts her blade at Lady Andaisin, but doesn't manage to contact.
attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (19) + 16 = 35
damage: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

DM Aron Marczylo |

The missiles thud into her hard, but she remains standing however she appears to be losing the animation in her undead limbs and appears somewhat weaker too.
Round 6
Order:
Curnach Daveck
Krenn Whetstone
Lady Andaisin (reborn)
Arianna Rothschild
Jerinthian Kos

DM Aron Marczylo |

Curnach's fire burns the giant abomination, however Krenn comes in, hacking down twice onto Lady Andaisin's neck, continuing where the scar was from earlier when he first killed her and then takes off her head entirely, flying into the air and landing some distance away from her. The body, crumbling down to the floor in a loud thud whilst the evil deity screams in anger.
"Such vile creatures you all are! I would claim your lives now, but I sense the approch of another." she grins then with a smirk "You have not won. This city will turn against you and I will watch as you are all stuck on pikes or skinned alive by the natives!"
With that she raises her arms and dissappears back to the void from whence she came.
Taking your time to search the area after the battle you find there is a well-concealed compartment at the base of the statue of Urgathoa. Within there are many ceremonial instruments that were probably used by Lady Andaisin for different rituals:
2 grim candelabra made from humans hands encased in silver worth 150 gp each.
Several sticks of incense worth a total of 450 gp
a wand of cure serious wounds with 37 charges
a wand of remove disease with 8 charges
3 blocks of incense of meditation
a wand of bestow curse with 17 charges
a small valuable stone carved into the shape of a skull worth 200 gp.
Any other areas you havn't fully checked out yet. Only one I can think of is the room right at the begining, the first one you entered, but left as there was no-one there.
Back in the first room you find a huge supply of brown doctor coats as well as many other things:
35 sets of clothing to dress up like one of the doctors worth 5 gp a set.
5 plague bringer's masks
Move valuable are in a glass case however:
4 healer's kits
23 onyx stones worth 50 gp each
9 potions of cure moderatewounds
1 potion of poison

Jerin |

Nice swinging Krenn! You too Curnach, we eventually wore the evil cretin down. Seems she has quite a bit of stuff down here.
What about her orignal gear, was anything of her magical?
Jerin will sweep the entire dungeon with Detect Secret doors to mak sure we haven't missed anything as well as her gear with detect magic.

Next day curnach uses warp wood on the chest to get into the items inside. unfortunatly from the shaking earlier that Krenn had given you find broken vials that could've been valuable.
The complete collection of books has a total value of 1,500 gp, although many have rotted bindings and weak glue, causing them to deteriorate if handled with anything less than extreme delicacy.
A locket worth only 100 gp
Total: 1600 gp
divided by 4: 800 gp
Unsure about the price of spell books and too late for me to work it out now. My brain is already overheating by working that much out.

DM Aron Marczylo |

We'll talk about what happens when you leave the temple complex after we sort out the loot cause there are more riches to come ;)
From the files you found the Dr. Davalous, Rolth and Ramoska Arkamnos (the Nosferatu) reguarding Blood Veil Curnach is certain with his own heal check that if this were given to someone with the alchemical skill to make potions such as Ishani Dhatri you would be able to mass produce a cure to the plague for all through out the city and stop more people dying.

Krenn Weststone |
So, adding in 12,350gp for the spellbooks, it is a total of 126,272gp, equaling 31,568gp each.
We’ll have Arianna take the rapier and the rest in cash.
The items Krenn would have an interest in are:
The amulet of natural armor +1
The potion of remove disease
The cloak of resistance +2
The ring of protection +2
Some potions of cure moderate wounds.
Of course that being said, I certainly don't need to have any or all of them; those are just the ones he could use. He already has a cloak and ring at the +1 level.

Curnach Daveck |

I'll be taking my share in pure, hard cash. If theres more reward to come lets hold off until we have that to sort it.
Well... We seem to have earned the ire of a deity. Not what I expected, I must say. Still... piecing together these notes, it looks like a cure to the plague is within our grasp...

DM Aron Marczylo |

First I'll fill out stuff that happens after you let the watch come down and will roleplay out some things.
As you leave with all the loot and the survivors there are clerics up waiting with the watch to see to the people. Amungst them is Deyanira Mirukova so glad to have her brother back and hugging him, though trying not to hug too hard as he is obviously still sore from the wounds of the unnessecery surgury of the nosferatu.
Many guards of the watch come down the elevator to take care and clean up the area of undead that are trapped in the wall. It takes some time to break through the glass wall and out tumble the undead creatures, however they are all harmless undead, merely animated for the grotesque "art" that the Urgathoan's have in all temples around the world. Never-the-less, the watch cut them down mercilessly as they continued to clear out the are, even though there were no more monsters left besides the daemon in the tank.
If the creature was able to attack at ranged it would've been a match, but having all the members of the guard and sable cavelry break the tube and then pile on thing it didn't last long, dying in a horrific death. The guards break the others, but those other three creatures were dead anyway, however collecting the equipment here they figured might aid those at the Acadamae who are interested in studying outsiders.
Ishani is one of the clerics who starts healing up the men and women you saved, casting lesser restoraction and channelling energy to bring them back to a healthier look as well as removing diseases. After handing over the sheets and explaining their importance he nods and heads off, taking a few others with him back to the temple to produce the cure which is shortly spread through out the city saving many people who were on death's door.
The rewards are culmalative so I'm going to be hopping from one reward to the next.
Reward 1
In gratitude for your effectors during the lague, Tayce Soldado organizes the thanks of Korvosa's settles Varisians and treats you all to a large feast at her home with the entire community with many of them bringing modest gifts such as very minor gems, coins, rings and the like coming up to 250 gp per character. Brienna takes a liking towards Jerin, though she's still a young teen who works as a maid she awkwardly shows her interest in Jerin.
Reward 2
Dozens of families are in dept to you for having saved their family members, friends of neighbors from the plague. You also get the gratitude of the wererats who offer you all a safehouse as they have heard disturbing whispers of what is to come. Most of it unbelieveable, but they believe something is coming.
You are offered to pose for 1000 gp for a painting that a local artist wishes to pain with backing from one of the local noble families. They knew the Carowyn's very well and wish to keep their memory alive by having a immortal painting of the group hanging in their home.
Reward 3
Field Marshall Cressida Kroft personally thanks you all for your aid to the city in public and deputises you all as offical Korvosan guards. With this she opens the armoury to you for each of you to choose any equipment (including magic armour and weapons) up to 2,500 gold as part of her honest thanks for your aid in saving this city in it's hour of need.
Final Reward
Nearly everyon in the city knows or has heard of you all and your exploits in saving many people's lives. Because of this you all gain a +2 bonus on all Bluff and Diplomacy checks made against Korvosan Citizens. Queen Ileosa publically acknowledge's your work, however Marcus Thalassinus, commander of the Sable Company steps in her place to issue the reward, claiming exhaustion in the wake of the recent events as is her excuse for not attending the ceremony.
"It is a honor that I am to award these grand heroes who have saved this fair city. I award them each a five thousand gold writ in reword for their services to be used for any purchase made within Korvosa's walls." he then turns and hands the four of you a writ with the amount of gold written on there. "Let us all give a hand to these heroes!" and with that everyone claps and even whistles and woots for the heroes who saved the city. As stated, the writ it good for anything you wish to buy within the city. That includs buying 5k worth of potions from the alchemist, 5k worth of magic item or enchancements at the Acadamae or even just to go out and pain the town red...figuratively.

Cressida Kroft AKA DM |

The Field Marshall, Cressida Kroft is suggested as the person to talk to reguarding the criminal underworld. When you give her the description she takes some time to listen, though she does appear to have a pile of paperwork. Unlike most law officials she appears to put people's concerns before her own, especially as she seems so intrigued in your story.
"I know one of those men you have discribed died. He and the others split some time ago and it's hard to know what's happened to them. Others have been driven mad in the recent riots and commited suicide, possibly died from their guilt of what they had done so many years ago." she looks over some notes of people she's been keeping track of. "There are two who have been silent recently, but I will try and track them down. I'd perfer if they were brought to justice for their crimes, however if they do attack you then you have no choice but to defend yourself after all." she gave a wink as she says this and then taps her nose.
"I know a group of heroes who may be willing to help you. They have delt with many of the criminal element in the city and stopped catastrophies that would've ruined the city. I'll take you to them now at the Three Rings Tavern." she raises and leads you out of Citadel Volshyenek and make your way to the Tavern.
Some of the things will be made public like how they are heroes who saved the day and so many people are greatful for their service and having saved their life. Group should fill you in on recent events.
Arianna takes up to dancing at the Tavern, having enough of the adventuring life. She smiles to you all and apologises that she won't be able to follow you anymore as she was so freaked out after their final incursion and the appearance of Urgathoa. She is happier just dancing and entiretaining everyone in celebration for the new life everyone feels and in honour of the dead who would not want their families and friends to mourn their passing after the plague has been cured. She is danving on the main stage with beautiful rhythmic movements.
When more clerics from the temple of Abadar continued to appear with the plague it was discovered that a large deposite for fifty thousand silver coins was infected with the same plague. They are in the process of removing it now.
Cressida Kroft enters the Tavern with a young and very attractive woman with medium build, fair skin and long, coppery red hair.
"To be an adventurer. No paperwork, only fun." Cressida smiles down to you and turns to introduce you. "Let me introduce Llyra Bjorgan, priestess of Calistra who was once born here, but recently returned from a long jurney. I will let her fill in the details. Llyra, this young man with the blond hair is Curnach a young man who is one with nature, Krenn a dwarf with such fierce and powerful swings of his Axe that I wish I had one of him in every one of my units and finally Jerin, a enchanter and student from Korvosa's own Acadamae where the best wizards in Varisia are trained." she smiles broadly and then takes a few moments to consider but then sits down. "Think I'll have a drink or two. Not like the paperwork is going to do itself."

Jerin |

Jerin is friendly with Brienna but does nothing more to encourage her due to her age over the last few months.
You haven't seen much of him over the last few months as he has been very busy crafted needed magic for all...a confrontation is brewing and Jerin's wanted you all to be ready. You do see him in the evening for dinner, but he has seemed a little more withdrawn over the last couple of months than you have known him to be.
Maybe it is just the constant magical energy he is expending, but you can see the bags under his eyes.
Wanted to see if you were okay with this...Jerin finds that the Inn is a little too space limited and decides to squat in an townhouse abandoned after the inhabitants died from the plague. He uses his name and influence (and magic if needed) to unofficially claim the place. After a good clean up he treats many of the neighbors to good food and a party to cover up his use of the house. As far as they know, he now "owns" the place.
Jerin becomes a little more obsessed with power, like taking the townhouse. His alignment shifts towards Neutral due to these actions. In the upper level of the townhouse he plies his trade and sets up a workshop there. He spends much of the months making items for himself and his friends.
He has mastered many of the magics around charm and compulsion but he is not really sure what he is going to do with them. He hires two guards for the place, taking shifts so that they are a 24 hour guard on his place. These would be common warriors, I will deduct the gold needed for their salary from month 2 onwards, when they were hired.

Curnach Daveck |

In Curnach's normal form, he looks pretty much like his picture- no blonde hair please, its ruining my grumpy hero image ;).
In the past few months, Curnach has been getting to know the common people as well as attending functions with the nobility; in order to 'attune himself' to Korvosa. He still keeps up his ritual of growing his sack of goodberries- he maintains a sack of one hundred and is frequently known to distribute them to the young street urchins of the city as well as beggars and those wounded in accidents and attacks around the city. The days nourishment they provide has kept many families and orphans alike alive in the dark days following the ebb of the plague.
In his private time when not representing the city, he has been working closely with Cressida as a lawbringer of the city, enforcing Korvosa's law and order upon those seeking to disrupt it. Cressida often catches him gazing up at the castle though; and though she knows he wishes to bring down the Queen, they do not speak of such matters; it could be dangerous for both Kroft's life and her career. Curnach is utterly convinced that her rule is counterproductive to the welfare of the city of Korvosa and is more convinced than ever that she murdered her husband as well as having her fingers in the plague and other events.
The little free time all these activities has left him is spent in two distinct ways; he sends letters to Trinia updating her with his life via animal messengers, but he has also been digging into his past. With Jerin so busy crafting, hes been sharing the revelations about his past with Krenn- his mother was apparently a powerful Sorceress, known to specialise in evocation magic, in particular fire. She left him at the orphanage he grew up in his earliest years in preparation for a great battle with the forces of evil; and Curnach took joy in his affinity with fire, something he must have inherited from her. In addition to attuning himself with Korvosa, Curnach's been studying the Green Faith to gain a more formal understanding of it, and these studies have made his eyes sharp in natural settings. Hes also been having dreams of being an animal himself, burrowing through the ground as a badger, scurrying through holes and scavenging as a mouse and soaring through the skies as an eagle. Once, he woke from such a dream with feathers on his pillows and the event has left him fairly perplexed.
Providing some fluff for my two new traits.
This young man with the blond hair is Curnach a young man who is one with nature
Please, Cressida; I prefer to think of myself as one with the city and a firm believer in its people and laws. Curnach says with a small smile. Since the recent events he went through with his friends Arianna, Krenn and Jerin his confidence with other people has grown, as have his mannerisms and grooming.
Urban druid, remember :O.
Although, the last time I spoke to Cressida my hair may have been blonde... he muses, as his hair seems to instantly change colour to match the watch captain's description. It is hard to keep track of all these things.
Looking Llyra up and down with no emotion in his eyes, Curnach manages in a level voice-
How may we help you, Llyra of Korvosa?
Another Calistrian? I wonder how this one will end up betraying us somehow? Can any of these Elf-Deity worshipping people be trusted? Is it possible we simply met two bad apples from a tree that could bear many different fruit, or is the tree rotten to its core? If all the fruit this tree bears are indeed bad seeds, it may be necessary to find some way to drive them all out of Korvosa for good...
Welcome again to the game Llyra!

DM Aron Marczylo |

You can go with your idea if you would perfer however. There are some empty homes after families dying from the plague and suicides that have been happening, though they've had no real merit as it's a ordanery city with people commiting suicide every now and then.
eitherway, I'm willing to go with that if you'd perfer the idea of using a old rundown townhouse, but the warehous should be hidden and the wererats more-or-less woreship you as you guys didn't massacre them and the death of Girrigz is a lesson being spread and reminding everyone not to try and fight against the surface and that they have it far better down there than most so they're willing to be guards if you need them to be in their human form.

Krenn Weststone |
Krenn has spent the last few months either staying close to the inn or getting out of the city. He misses his travels some, but isn't willing yet to break away from the new friends he's made, and still feels a debt (at least to Curnach). Some days he ventures away from the city to keep his skills sharp, but mostly he stays on hand to make sure Jerin has what he needs, including protection when he goes into the city for purchases and such.
When Cressida decides to join them, Krenn seems delighted. He's had enough of stuffy formalities for a while. Seeing some tension with Curnach at the new arrival, Krenn echoes his question, though with a lot more enthusiasm and playfulness. Well, well. The last time Cressida introduced us to someone, I think we ended up tromping through the sewers and going through mounds of corpses. What is it we can do for you?
Krenn's statement may not be correct, but that doesn't stop him from throwing it out there.

DM Aron Marczylo |

At first the nobility is a little taken aback by your choice in clothing, but you are one of the heroes of the city and you did clear out a noble's family house of undead, saving the man of the house who decides to help show you the ropes of high society.
At once such meeting you meet the head of the most famous and powerful noble family, second only to the ruling Monarcy, Glorio Arkona who is a very handsome man who has the air of intelligence and power, wearing Vudran clothing for that is where his family has origonated from. Any disfavourable talk of the queen other nobles act with shock, however he instead smirks, seemingly agreeing with you.
Due to your good nature the kid's lives appear to be improving. Some were from families that died of the recent plague and others have been street urchins for years. Showing such kindness has made them appear healthier and other beggers have been getting back on their feet.
Cressida Kroft knows and shares your suspecions, but has told you with the damage the population has taken they don't yet have the manpower to launch a revolution against her, especally as many people will blindly follow the monarchy.
You do get a few replies from Trinia. She is doing well and is not so surprised by what the queen has done, but tells you to keep strong as soon enough everyone will learn the truth. She also mentions she has been going adventuring and learned language of the local shoanti. She's had quite the adventures fighting all kinds of monsters and exploring strange caves. She even mentions a encounter with a group of Ettercaps.

His end game in his mind is that they become his tool, to be used to collect information and if needed spy on his enemies.
Let me know how much gold you think I need to deduct, but these activities would be kept away from the rest of the group. I would also use them as the guards at the town house. I would split my time between the house (most of my time) and the warehouse if that is the place where the rest of the group is staying.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Let's see...the wererats are very pleased that you treat them as if they were a normal person like you and are surprised you don't try to enslave them or pretend to be kind and force them to be tools. The warerats are afraid of what a oracle has said to them about the approching doom, but they're taking the time to enjoy being in your service before whatever happens, happens.
I'll ad-hoc the gold to be 80 gp to cover them all for the food and such as they often steal what they need, but never take more than they need so being given money and treats is very alien to them.

Jerin |

** spoiler omitted **
The other thing I would like to do is possibly figure out how to tap into the sewers from my townhouse so we can slip in and out unnoticed. Even if it takes hiring a cleric to shape stone a portal into the townhouse and then arcane lock it.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Hiya all - sorry I did not post earlier, I did not realize that DM Aron had already introduced me in the IC.
Gentlemen, Mage Jerin, Good Dwarf Krenn and Nature's Friend Curnach, the pleasure is all mine - and while I am a priestess of the Unquenchable Fire, please do not take that comment the wrong way. There is a time and place for all of Calistria's facets, and this is not the time for pleasure.
Field Marshal Kroft has briefed me on some of your recent adventures saving the city from a Urgathoian plague being most recent.
Turning to Curnach: I understand it was your knowledge of medicine which provided the cure for this horrible plague, so, while I was not in Korvosa at the time of the plague, you have my heartfelt thanks for saving the lives of so many in my home.
Looking back at everyone: Approximately 24 years ago, I was born here in Korvosa. My parents were not wealthy, however, as a young girl, I was never without food and clothing unlike so many others in this city. Sadly, before I had turned 10 years old, my father became addicted to gambling and times became very hard for my family. In order to provide food and clothing for me, I believe that my mother turned to prostitution from time to time. As I was still quite young, I was unaware of how far my family had fallen, although I would from time to time steal food and clothing when I needed.
At the age of 12. You can hear anger in Llyra's voice at this point and almost see flames dancing in her eyes. I arrived home late one day and found four men in my home. I was grabbed and forced to watch the men beat my father and rape my mother due to gambling losses supposedly owed by my father. I was then bound and thrown on a ship. I do not know how long I was on the ship, but when I again saw the sun of day, I was being put onto a slave wagon in the city of Katapesh far to the south.
To cut the story short, I spent nearly 10 years in Katapesh. I was sold as a pleasure slave, but managed to escape before my owner felt I was old enough to use for his pleasure. After living on the streets of Katapesh for a period, I was introduced to the teachings of Calistra. Calistria has taught me to seek revenge and to punish those who have wronged me and others. Using her teaching, I first found and killed the evil woman in charge of training young kidnapped girls to be pleasure slaves. As she says this, you can see a small vengeful smile curling at the sides of Llyra's lips. I will never forget the look of fear in that evil woman's eyes when she knew she was about to burn alive.
Since then I have slowly wandered and made my way north from Katapesh visiting many strange and exotic places on my return to Korvosa. And at every step in my journey, I have made sure that I helped those in need of retribution, those who had been wronged, whether it was a spited lover, or revenge for a cold blooded murder, I have sought to assist others in obtaining the relief that only a carefully thought out and vicious revenge and can give.
Which finally brings me back to Korvosa. Upon returning a few days ago, I found that sadly my father had committed suicide while my mother, who had turned to prostitution after my father became unable to support the family, died a few years ago, apparently from a broken heart.
Now, I seek to exact revenge on those who broke my father, those who raped and corrupted my mother, and those who sold me into slavery. Lady Croft believes she knows who the still living members of this group are and she told me that you all may be able to help me, which brings me here today.
Gentlemen, if you are willing, I ask your assistance in finding those responsible for my pain so that I may cause them to understand to pain I have suffered over the past 12 years. In return, I offer you my services as a priestess of Calistria. I understand that you continue to protect Korvosa, and as I have said, this is my home. I will do all I can to revenge the pain caused by those individuals who injure this good city so that people can live to enjoy the lustful life, not just living in fear of those who would harm them at night.

Jerin |

A break from all of this creating sound like a good idea. I have nasty ideas for revenge llyra which I am sure you would be interested in hearing...who are these men and do you know where they are located?
A wide grin spreads across Jerin's face, the first one you have seen in a month or so.
Its actually part of my plan for Jerin, he is not going to become evil but definitely more interested in becoming a powerful figure in the background in Korvosa. He looses his innocence and slowly becomes enamered with power...something he has never had until the last 4-5 months.

I believe the good Field Marshal knows the festering wounds of society whom I seek. At the age of 12 I did not learn any names - but there are four faces which I shall never forget. I take out my whip and carefully stroke it. And hanging bound upside down from the rafters, I can think of many things which will happen to any of these faces unfortunate enough to have survived the plague.

"Gaedren Lamm was one of those people. Two of them have commited suicide after becoming babbling wrecks and the final one has gone missing. I am going to try and track him down." she explains to the group, hoping that they feel that little bit better about Gaedren Lamm being killed.
There is a man off in the distance who appears to be taking notice of the group for quite a while. He is dressed in the Sable Company with a high ranking from the marks on his uniform. He appears to be studying you all silently and his glass appears to have barely been drunk.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Llyra sighs: Gaedren Lamm - I remember that name, he was a torturer of children as I recall - I do not know how he died, but I am sure it was far to swift and painless. And suicide - these men did not deserve such easy deaths. For 12 years I have savored the day I would return and allow them to experience the pain and suffering I have lived with on a daily basis.
If there is anything I can do to assist in tracking down this last cretin, please let me know. I can be quite good at, shall we say, infiltrating people's confidence and extracting information from them.
Pointing my eyes at the man in the Sable Company outfit. Give me a moment and let me see what he wants. It is clear that he wants to talk to us, lets throw a little monkey wrench into the equation.
I excuse myself and step out of site - either just out of the building or around a corner from which people might arrive. I leave my Haversack and Quiver at my seat and just carry my whip which will be concealed around my waist.
Using my Hat of Disguise I will change my appearance - add about 4 inches, dark, almost black hair, and darker tanned skin. My clothing will be more of the upper middle class housewife style, but looking for fun. Showing some, but not too much.
Disguise: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (9) + 19 = 28
I then come back into the inn. I look around nervously. Seeing the single warrior by himself, I walk over to him and slide next to him.
Excuse me soldier, but I am hoping you could help me. My husband was taken ill in the recent plague. He survived, but has been unable to provide as he did before. Is there any chance you could assist me with a problem I am having? Looking in his eyes with a combination of fear and lust.
Diplomacy:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Bluff: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

I think I'll let one of the party tell you how he died. It certainly wasn't quick.
The man looks at you curiously with a slightly confused look on his face.
"What do you mean?" he seems distracted, looking back at the group.
The man is Marcus Endrin, commandant of the Sable Company. He's become more well known recently for having outspoken and negative views on the Queen. There have been whispers that he's been trying to start up a group to help incite a rebellion, but the city is so wounded from the plague that, that'll be impossible.

OOC I know that, IC - Llyra has no knowledge of what happened to him,

Sighing - Lets just say, that having a husband recovering from the plague has not been as satisfying as it could be. I look at the emblems on his uniform and grin. My, you are more than just an ordinary soldier aren't you Commandant. I bet you have much training with your . . . weapons. Indicating that I know he is splitting his looks between me and the rest of the group by rolling my eyes. Do you not find me attractive? Do you find the dwarf over there more attractive? Pouting. I would be much more fun.
I pause for a few moments. Hmmm, you are not here for fun are you? I assume you are here for more . . . professional reasons.
Quietly Like inciting revolution. If you would like, perhaps I could introduce you to the gentlemen at that table over there, and to the good Field Marshal.
Smiling seductively. Or we could just forget about them and go enjoy ourselves.

DM Aron Marczylo |

"If you were to introduce me, that would help me very much." he claims as he gets up, hoping for you to bring him over and introduce him to the group.

Llyra Bjorgan |

Grinning. Well lets see what I can do.
Leading him over to the table.
Gentlemen, Field Marshal. May I introduce Commander Marcus Endrin, Commandant of the Sable Company. Batting my eyelashes. He did not want to play with a distraught housewife today apparently, but instead he wished to speak with your boring group.
Once I am seated in the booth, I drop the disguise reverting to my travelers outfit with a golden wasp brooch. The Hat of Disguise is in the shape of a wasp hair clip. I offer the Commander my hand. Welcome Sir. Well done, and sadly resistant to my charms. May I introduce myself, I am Llyra, Priestess of the Savored Sting. I think you know the good Field Marshal and know of my companions who have staved off several recent disasters in the city.

"The city is my concern, especially since the queen got in charge things have been going wrong. Ever since the death of the kind." he says and looks to the field marshall. "We have met, though I wanted to get to know the heroes of Korvosa in person. Also I would like to discuss what action you'd like to take reguarding the queen."

Llyra Bjorgan |

I cannot speak for my new companions. But, while I am long away, Korvosa is my home, and I will do all that is necessary to exact revenge on anyone who would harm it, whether they be priests, wizards, warriors . . . or even queens. I have heard on the streets over the few days that I have been back that there is a clear divide in this town. Half the folk support the beautiful new queen, half despise her, call her a harlot and would have her head on a pike, and half are indifferent as they struggle to just survive from day to day. And yes, there is some overlap in those three halves. However, I defer to the Field Marshal and my companions for further comment on this matter.
I then sit back and glance about the table to see who will speak up first.

Aye, I remember you Marcus. Your always welcome at our table. My intentions regarding the Queen?
Curnach leans in, whispering what Krenn and Jerin already know and have heard before to the rest of the table.
"Treason" of the highest order. She is a murderer, an usurper, and not above the law, no matter what she might think on the matter.
