Curnach Daveck the Dwarf
"I cannot die this way. I need to find the cure for this vampirism." he protests "Insolent druid. I didn't choose to live this way!"
But you chose to sell a living human being. Curnach retorts. That alone makes you an enemy of the city, let alone your affiliations with this vile priesthood and the mantis! My friend Krenn has the most reliable cure, he'll be delivering it to you now...

Ramoska Arkminos AKA DM
The axeblade of Krenn bites into the vampire, once agian bypassing his stoneskin, but he seems to remain vigalent and then Curnach's crocodile finishes him off with a horrorfying bite. Ramoska mutters before he sees his death coming
"I was a scientist." and with that he is dead. It's odd, but unlike other vampires he doesn't appear to dissappear into smoke and his body remains there and unnmoving.
You guys taking your time for loot or moving back out and into another room?
Krenn Weststone
Krenn will take time to strike Ramoska a couple more times, just to be sure.
Following that, he'll move to the door and keep watch, allowing the others to look around if they want. When they indicate they are ready to move on, he'll lead the way.
On this map, he'll lead them to the door at AE25 when they are ready, unless someone else suggests otherwise.
Jerin
Jerin will examine the creatures body to see if he appears to be healing in some way and then do a detect magic on his possesions before sweeping the room with the same.
He will then check the man on the table to see if he is still alive.
We should check out the hidden door before moving on. Did I know about he secret door from the map?
DM Aron Marczylo
Ramoska appears to remain there, dead now perminantly. His possessions glow magically as there are many of them on him. You find a wand, 2 potions, a ring, cape, spellbook and other jelwery that doesn't appear magical, but valuable.
The vials all appear to be a mixture of alchemical materials. Curnach recognises some of the vials. You find six vials of Acid, many tubes containing distilled blood veil, filth feaver and red ache. The rest of the alchemical materials can be sold for 750gp and many intense documentation on the blood veil, observing how it effects different people in new ways, though never effects varisians. Seems his last notes stated that he was going to turn the poor varisian into a vampire, wondering if his resistance to the plague might somehow resist vampirism.
Ammendment, Ruan Mirukova is on the table. I misread something in the book when talking about the manor and thought it said Ruan wasn't mentioned, but could be placed into the temple as a prisoner.
Ruan appears to be very much alive. There are no obvious bite marks on him, but many incisions where Ramoska had tried out the disease on him. He's out of it at the moment and unable to move due to still being trapped on the table which can be disarmed via the switches on the table.
Inside the hidden room appears to be many open trunks with piles of books across this dusty room. Stacks of tomes, some apparently quite old with either rotten spines or weak glue, but appear to cover tomes of ancient healing, legendary accounts of vampires, and books of religious lore all in exquisit detail. If these books belong anywhere it's in a library or a exotic book shop of somekind.
There is a large elegant black-canopied bed down here, but Curnach's keen senses can tell this bed has not been slept in and the cover is a fake on the bed to disguise a travelling coffin that it concealed.
There is a final trunk in here that is closed and locked. It appears to have been actively opened and closed over the time it's been here.
DM Aron Marczylo
Krenn frowns at Jerin. This is a finely forged weapon of war, not a crude tool. Then with a grin, he draws out his crowbar and says On the other hand, this... Krenn goes to work.
Strength 1d20+6
Krenn nearly gets it, however his strength does not seem to be enough to break it open and it remains the lock. It appears to be a powerful and possibly expensive lock.
maybe you should invest in a wand of knock :p
Jerin
With a growl, Krenn comments I do believe this trunk just declared war on me! He pulls out his axe and goes to work on it, hacking with both hands (assuming it is reinforced wood and not a metal!).
The entire time, he is muttering something about adamantium locks and such.
As Krenn prepares to attack with his axe, Hold on...Curnach, do you have any of those shape wood spells memorized? Maybe we can just open up a hole in it? If not I guess you are up..
Jerin
Should we put Ruan in a cell with the others to keep him safe, or just press the attack?
If the concensus is to press the attack, Krenn will lead them to the next door as indicated in my post on the 18th.
lets see if we can wake him and he can go to the others...

You don't manage to wake him. He is alive, but appears to be so wounded he won't be moving for a while. He won't be moving any time soon.

Treat Deadly Wounds takes an hour, you'll be fine on max -4HP. We still have some buffs active so lets move on.
8 goodberries deducted.
Sounds good, Jerin drops another scroll of False Life on himself for good measure.
False Life 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4| DM Aron Marczylo |
Sorry about not responding earlier. Been having problems with KM as the party was arguing over loot distribution and the players didn't want to continue playing until a decision was made, meaning I had to read over all the posts and dirty my hands, so to speak.
You look up where a large image of Urgathoa is weilding a scythe in her hands, smirking as she is taking the pleasure in dancing among fields of the dead, undead and dying all in a elaborate mosaic of white, black and green stone. For a moment you almost feel as if it's eyes are leering down on you all.
DM Aron Marczylo
Krenn will try the door, shield at the ready, axe belted for the moment.
The door is unlocked and as you open it you find a grand chamber, this time filled with 4 different tanks smaller than those filled with the blood veil. Inside one of the tanks to see a strange looking creature with a skull for a head and large feather's black wings knocking it's hands against the glass wall, but there appears to be no dents in the glass despite it's attacks.
There are three others which appear to be empty.
The creature is known as a Daemon. Neutral evil and this one in particular is the embodyment of pestilence. It spreads a infectious aura, making people sesseptible to diseases or poisons.
It has damage resistance with only good and silver cutting through and immunities to acid, death effects, disease, poison as well as resisting electricity, fire and cold.
It is known to spew forth a breath of flies to ravage and sicken those in the area and perfers to stay at range, firing it's bow and drawing a new arrow out of it's body with a poison naturally produced by it to the arrows.
The skull is not it's real head. It has a ugly nub for a head which it covers with the skulls of animals, usually cattle type animals.
DM Aron Marczylo
There are also double doors that appear to lead off into a final room. The doors here are Ajar leading into darkness.
Ammendmend The other three are filled with similar figures, but appear to be simply floating there completely still and unmoving in different positons.
Jerin
Jerin studies the creature from a distance.
Takes a 10 for a 24 total.
Interesting...a Daemon. I have never seen one up close...
Jerin starts a lesson in everything he knows about the beast...pease read the spoiler.
We probably don't want to do anything to free the creature. don't particularly like the looks of this, just before you open those doors I a going to put up a spell.
If nothing happens as we move up to the door, jerin casts mirror image.

Krenn will stand guard by the double doors, staying about 5' away from them. When everyone else is gathered around and ready to move on, he will step up to the doors, shield ready and axe belted, and try to open them.
I assume you guys line up not wanting to do anything in this room.
The door being Ajar Krenn pushes it open with ease. It's a dark hallway, but you can see light at the end and hear chanting coming from the lit area. It sounds like a single woman, chanting an unholy prayer to Urgathoa.

Ammendment
You see a fountain with the Goddess of Urgathoa on top in a large circular room from what you can see and many death's head coffers lie scattered around this shrine. There is also a beautiful woman knelt down on the ground with her legs crossed and a Scyth in her hands. Her eyes snap open and she gives you all a icy smile, standing up as she does.
"And so you have finally found your way to me hopeful heroes. Know that you stand before the architect of your city's death." she smirks as she bows in a coy manner with her smile remaining, almost mocking you in this way. "You call this sending blood veil, yet I know it as the gentle kiss of the Pallid Princess. Your reward shall be great. come here and choose one of the seven scourges to become one with the goddess. Those who drink, I shall only cripple and leave you alive to enjoy her as she quickens inside your flesh. However, those who abstain are fools, not fit to house the divine gift."
She raised her Scythe, pointing it at the group.
"You may prostrate yourselves at my feet and I shall make your end all the more swift for it. Swifter, in any event than this delightful end your lovely queen has enjoined me to create!" she smirks as she appears to be enjoying her own sormen. "Come lowly creatures. If you drink then I am sure the Pallid Princess shall take you into her embrace and into paradise."
Assuming you guys want to dive right into combat.

Lady Andaisin AKA DM
Lady Andaisin is just hitby Krenn's attack and barely harmed by the attack.
She casts a spell upon herself defensively which passes and she appears to visably grow stronger and more dangerous looking. She begins to walk and start stepping on the air as if it was solid, walking above Krenn and provoking an attack out of him, but his blade slams against her powerful-looking breastplace as her skin is now obviously hardened as she's more in view. She is 10ft in the air, out of reach of Mellee and as it's a 45 degree climb she has gone above Krenn and past him.

Jerin walks over and casts fly on Krenn, You will not evade us so easily witch!
To Krenn, This will give you the ability to fly and allow you to get to her Krenn!
"Witch? HA!" she laughs as she leers down at Jerin, leering intently. "I am your town's saviour, delivering you all into the grace and beauty of death and then undeath.
