Does Cruthoniax have wrist sheaths in stock?
Also, drawing a weapon from a wrist sheath is a move action. Does the Quick Draw work with them, thus making it a free action? I do not see why it would not, but I thought it better to ask.
I am thinking of selling Kieran's masterwork hand crossbow and bolts and purchasing a couple of daggers (which work as both melee and ranged weapons), seeing as the half-elf is more of a duelist/swashbuckler rather than the kill-you-from-afar kind of rogue.
Your Humble Narrator
I'd advise checking out the spring-loaded wrist sheaths, reduces it to a swift action. My knife master rogue makes extensive use of them.
They'd be available in the town yes.
You know, instead of calling us "the winners of the Trials of Grallus," we need a good group name.
I vote we are The Umkhaya.

Inquiring minds want to know!
Yeah, if Ansha actually spoke with the elusive Eliandra, we might have more information right now than we think we do.
Your Humble Narrator
Sorry I was attempting to cue you in but forgot the accompanying narrative. Yes she came to wake Ansha up, who can flextime her line of inquiry in.

Joana - read here and here and here for what might be the reason Tebati dislikes Albert.

I have indeed considered the spring-loaded ones exactly because of the action economy they may provide Kieran with. However, if Quick Draw does work with the regular wrist sheaths, then he will go with those, since he will be getting that feat soon enough when he gets to 3rd level (it being a prerequisite for the Aldori Dueling Mastery feat).
Your Humble Narrator
I'd see no reason it wouldn't work with the regular ones.
Male Human
Wow! Talk about a quick answer. Thanks. :-)
Male Human
Hmm... Checking both varieties of wrist sheath, as well as the rules about drawing weapons and the Quick Draw feat, I am actually not so sure whether the feat works with wrist sheaths, after all.
Drawing a weapon is a move action, while drawing a hidden weapon (hidden via Sleight of Hand) is a standard action. Quick Draw reduces them to a free action and a move action respectively.
Wrist sheaths, as far as I can tell, serve to help one hide weapons or ammunition more effectively, even providing a +2 bonus on Sleight of Hand checks to do so. At the same time, they help even further by making drawing the hidden weapon either a move action (wrist sheath) or a swift action (spring loaded wrist sheath) instead of a standard action.
So, being the devil's advocate, so to speak, if you have reconsidered, I will be going with the spring loaded ones. If, however, you think Quick Draw does work with regular wrist sheaths after all, then regular ones it is.
Okay, I've got Tebati done in HeroLab except for her feat. Put skill points into Heal, Knowledge (geography), Knowledge (religion), and Sense Motive. Feats I'm considering are Diehard (nice to have the healer conscious to heal herself), Extra Channel, Fleet (extra movement is surprisingly handy for avoiding AoOs when Acrobatics isn't a class skill), and Run.

Hi all. Posting from the ICE exhibition in London. The hotel is somewhat medieval and doesn't seem to have wifi so I may be out of touch for a few days unfortunately. Posting from my iPad right now but trying to post everywhere with it is a complete nightmare so please spread the word for me where necessary. Worst case scenario, back in action on Friday.
Your Humble Narrator
Sorry guys got less time for PbP today than I planned (a coursemates birthday party took me by surprise) but i'll be updating once I have slept :).
Your Humble Narrator
Mostly reacting to the group at the moment. Need some time to pass before I give Jakob anything yet :)
A heads-up for Meowzebub and F. Castor: If you've been skimming Tebati and Ansha's posts on the assumption that your PCs aren't part of that conversation, I narrated us back over to you two so we can share the information we just found out and give you guys something to do besides wait for the next round of the archery contest. :)

I'm good. No need to rush on my account. :7)

ARRRRRGGGGG!
AK hands me the perfect set-up with the ears gag and I can't think of a thing!!
Well except for "Dammit Jim, I'm an Oracle not a Zoologist!" and "Well that will allow us to track their migration patterns." but those ate both too meta for the gameplay thread. Sigh.....
I weep for the jokes untold.
Qhude is making a mockery of this bow-centric event with his javelins! Has he no respect for the sanctity of Archersfeast? He's totally going to get kicked out again. ;)

I'm an agent for change... Viva la revolution!
Your Humble Narrator
The ancient, primitive God of the Hunt would hardly take issue with such a traditional hunting weapon ;).
Your Humble Narrator
The ball is very much in Kieran's court, unless I've missed a post?
Male Human
Ah, crap... Seems I missed a post. On it.
Of the four rooms we're occupying in the inn, which are nearest Bellis Mara's? Ought to be a decent fallback/alibi for Kieran if he can say he went up to retrieve something, from either his room or a friend's.
Your Humble Narrator
I misread that as "Anshas," as in, there are more than one of her.
Tebati, I was thinking ansha backing kieran and Tebati backing qhude. She seems the most likely to defuse qhude and can heal him if necessary, and ansha can cover distracting people easily enough.
Sounds good. If worse comes to worst, you two can always make it look like he sneaked off with the sexy elf to her room while his gf was distracted by the festival. Gives you both a good reason to be looking furtive and sneaky. ;)

Sorry for slowness- dissertation topic to write up + way too many birthdays...

Dissertation > game. Understood
Birthdays > game. Understood.
Recovering from the above > game. Very much understood.
Good luck.

Heh thanks. I'm here. Birthday girl got ridiculously drunk last night and had to look after her. Followed by 4 hours of sleep, a 4 hour lecture, gym then swim and i'm about ready to collapse.
Male Human Haunted Nature Oracle 4 (Ac 20 Cmd 20 Will+4 Ref+2 Fort+4)
Good for you for keeping an eye on her. I hope she is not in too much pain.
Have a good rest.
Hmmm I should go swimming tonight. Thanks for the idea.

Good. Or i'll set Bellis Mara on him.
Ah, Unwe, Qhude, manacles... this has to end well. :)

Will update tomorrow, I have my last March assignment due tomorrow at 3:30PM so short on time.

Darn - Qhude doesn't get to slap Bellis around any... though remains to be seen whether he eats a cudgel sandwich in the back of his head...
All told, went alot better than it could have.

Yeah... she might have gone all kung-fu on your ass!

Qhude does have reason to be afraid and demoralized... a successful intimidation was made upon him :P
