An abundance of pirates; my Skull and Shackles character got a makeover but I doubt i'll change any others.
I had a quick looksee for more Mwangi and was disappointed again.
But a couple of my other ones got a new look, lots of funky Ulfen vikingr looking ones floating around.
My guy in Way of the Wicked did get a new look. And some of them have given me ideas for potential future characters, or rather characters that have already been floating in my mind.

Didn't Kieran throw his dagger regardless of his shrunkenness, in round 1? Ansha's at the bottom of the order, so it should probably be Tebati again at the top of round 2.
Yeah, Kieran acted here (and should have agitated to keep his original roll), and Ansha did nothing helpful except get out of the line of fire. ;)

If you'd been there, you'd have been the natural target for the spell, and we'd have a mini-Qhude running around. He and my halfling barbarian could get together.
My actual intention was for Tebati to go to the jail with Qhude and leave Ansha to handle negotiations with Zesaste. (Apparently in Elven, they use the same word for "negotiate with" and "let go." ;P ) If Zesaste had just let Tebati leave, he'd be on his way out of town with lovely parting gifts by now.
Aye - but mini-Qhude with a polearm is still relatively fierce :P
As it is methinks it shall be an interesting conversation when Qhude gets back with the others...
Well, soon enough AK will have us all paranoid enough that we'll go everywhere fully armed and armored, even to a beach party, and we'll all travel in a defensive block formation at all times, even through the marketplace, so we won't be constantly putting ourselves at a disadvantage. :P
I've learned that shield of faith is a complete waste of a spell slot since AK's going to crit anyway, so AC won't even come into the equation. Ought to just save the slot for healing after the inevitable hit.
And maybe one day we'll fight something that can't take us from full hp to unconscious and/or dead in a single blow. :P
I think we'd have had a chance if we'd already leveled up. 2nd-level spells and extra hp would have come in handy.
Yep HP would have helped... even Qhude would've crumpled with a 22 damage crit if he wasn't able to rage first (being he's down a few HP).
Maybe AK just wants to finish Freehold post haste ;)
Truth be told I'm a little burnt out on freehold but we'll wrap it up soon and move on to the section I've been looking forward to for a long time :).
Zesaste was CR3 but give a transmuter time to prepare... ;).
Any NPC you're rollng for should get an automatic +1 CR bump due solely due to your luck with the dice. It's like a normal DM giving all his monsters Improved Critical for free. ;P
Considering the frequency with which our opponents save against my spells, I agree with that statement. ;P
Good point: Make that Improved Critical, Great Fortitude, Iron Will, and Lightning Reflexes for free. ;)
Another reason why people need to start trusting Qhude a little bit more :P

I actually find the component pouch immersion-breaking, what with the butter and live bugs and mini-pies and dirt and cobwebs and bits of wire that are all mixed up in there together and yet instantly distinguishable from one another as a free action. :P

If its purely the fluff you dislike we can assume Ansha's found a way to cast without her spell component pouch, except in any circumstances where she couldn't normally cast (polymorph, grapple etc. I think its a kick in the teeth for Sorcerors if I let her have it entirely for free. So basically, RAW but for the worthless components lets say she substitutes ;).
I can live with that. And since I found an excellent reason why Ansha shouldn't have a decent Sense Motive, Spell Focus (enchantment) it is.
That said, I think it's a kick in the teeth that a feat can be substituted for by spending 5gp...and we don't have any sorcerors for me to kick! =P Also, grapple doesn't prevent spellcasting with somatic components in PF, so I don't know why it would prevent spellcasting with material components.

Its not substituted because of corner cases like Polymorph and sundered spell component pouches etc. :)
Besides, not all feats are created equally. I can think of far less useful ones.
I'll get a reply up for Qhude tomorrow. Tebati's going to have a bit of tension with Ansha as well, but it's probably better brokered with Kieran as middleman.
And to think, a year ago, we were just arriving in Freehold.
