Hello, Hello, yes, yes, as I mentioned before we come in peace. I'm Gary King, of the Humans, and the Starfinder Society

I understand this location is reserved for authorized personnel, so we'll be leaving soon. The reason we are here is that some colleagues of ours disappeared near here. They came to explore the surrounding stars and planets, but we lost contact it them. Do you know anything about what might have happened to them? Again we come in peace.

"Oh no, we don't have any Starfinders here. No one has lived here in a very long time. A-1, they said, it's your job to keep the city until we're back, and I did. All the little me's keeping everything nice and clean."

A-1's slightly incoherent politeness doesn't appear the least bit vulnerable to Gary's plea. Perhaps if the AI were shaken off her game somehow...

"I have our authorization here" Quig hold up the ind connector for an access cable. "Do you have an access port that We can use to transmit, the ah, Authorization"

Bluff: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

"That sounds unsanitary. Please depart."

Picking up what Quig is putting down Gary joins in, Right what I said before was a test, a test to see if you were following your directives after all this time. We are here with the authorization. You must comply.

Why didn't I think of that

A-1's expression doesn't change, but there's still a clear sense of menace as they warn, "Further attempts to compromise my operational security will not be permitted. Please depart."

First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo addresses the Society through communication devices across the Scoured Stars: ​“Starfinders, thanks to your efforts, we have gathered a large amount of data about the whereabouts of several groups of survivors from the first mission to the Scoured Stars. We have analyzed the data and now know enough to start locating and evacuating our friends and allies. We still need more intelligence on other groups of survivors, however, and we must continue to run reconnaissance missions at the same time.”​

First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo pings each of your comm devices. ​” Starfinders have recovered a signal beacon from a steamy swamp on Agillae-2. Our analysis of the data indicates there is a large group of survivors on another planet in the same system, and we will soon be ready to commence the evacuation mission.”​

Planet of the Dinosaurs location is now closed and Last Outpost is now open.

Starfinders are filled with confidence. All Starfinders receive a +1 Morale bonus to attack rolls, saving throws and skill checks until the end of the current mission.

Gathering his fellow Starfinder's together in a huddle. Is it worth engaging this creature? Perhaps we could find information at the library, perhaps there will be terminals we can connect too? He says in a whisper.

Your comm device tune erupts, breaking the silence once again in quick succession as the dreaded group chats will. ”The results of your explorations are coming in fast. Our agents explored a starship graveyard on Agillae-5, where they found many more of our comrades kept comatose in stasis chambers. Our scientists are studying the strange technology so we can decide how to safely release them.”

Starship Graveyard location is now closed and The Cracked Mirror location is now open.

Quig is going to scan the area for a remote access point, His suspicion is that the figure is the system's Holographic avatar, maybe he can backdoor into the system and try a hack.

Yeah, we seem to be getting nowhere fast with this A.I. Let's ditch it and look for the control room.

I'm lost as to how to proceed and it seems time is running out.

Naboh does a cursory search to see if he can spot anything useful.

He discovers a long-closed store that sells his favorite pants. Or used to.

Azara watches the exchange silently, just as frustrated as the rest of them with their lack of progress with A-1. He is also disturbed by the lack of life on this world.

He nods to Gary's suggestion. "I don't think we're going to get any further, here. We can try the library. Perhaps that will at least have information for us."

With the exception of the ever-present alien music, this enormous building remains completely silent. Digital and physical records from the planet’s past fill shelves and data archives stretching for the equivalent of city blocks.

As you search through the stacks, you frequently catch glimpses of A-1 watching you. It seems she doesn't trust that you won't get into trouble.

Sorry, missed Quig's post. From the outside of the military base, there wasn't any port you could access, but feel free to look around in the library...

Naboh heads straight for the engineering section.

Say, whoever these folks were, they had some pretty sweet tech. I wish I had my hands on some of these gadgets they're describing here.

Naboh does it say where to find this tech on the planet? Or are you able to download the schematics? Anything about missing Starfinders? Gary inquires.

First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo's voice rings out with more news of hope on each of your comm devices. ”Starfinders have penetrated the defenses of an ancient automated city on Callion-2. They discovered that a group of Starfinders visited the city a year ago, trying to find a way to help other Starfinders stuck on the desert planet of Callion-1. We’ll begin moving resources to Callion-1 immediately.”

City of the Ancients is now closed and Sands of Oblivion is now open.

"Time is an everflowing river in which everyone eventually drowns," Azara says.

"This place is growing ever more curious. Not only are the natives missing, but also potentially the Starfinders who came here. It seems to be a planet where people go missing."

"Shoot, I am not sure what Azara said, but I think we need to scamper He gathers his gear and makes for the ship.

Despite the announcement, (and A-1's opinion) you guys can still progress things from here if you wish. But of course, you do have a spaceship, so you can try to fly out instead.

"So you are leaving?" A-1 appears without warning, "This is good. I do not need you here. We do not want outsiders." You should leave. "

We're not leavin', bub. We got no beef with you, but we got a job to do. What are ya gonna do about it?

Again, I'm lost as to what we can do to progress here.

Is there an access point in the library?

Throwing down the gauntlet to A-1 will suffice. And yes there's an access point, but first you'll have to deal with A-1's response...

"I don't have to do anything. This city's defenses are more than adequately automated."

You can hear the strange music turn strident and bombastic, almost covering the humming and whirring of approaching drones, laden down with cannons that seem to weigh as much as the rest of them! As they approach, a small hatch opens at the bottom, spilling piles of caltrops onto the ground before them.

Exemplar-2 draws a pistol from his belt holster and fires at the bots.

Gary backs up between the two ysokis and draws his laser pistol. Pointing at one of the bot with blue paint, Gary yells Get 'em!

Get 'em - gain a +1 morale bonus to attack rolls made against that enemy

Quig jumps at Gary's shout and scrambles for cover drawing his tiny gun as he goes.

"Conflict is as inevitable as it is pointless," Azara intones as it becomes clear that the ancient need for for living things to compete over resources or ideas or any of a myriad of things has taken over this exchange.

He takes hold of the stellar mote hovering between his antennae and it flashes into a 3 foot long ankh that he holds by the loop as he moves toward one of the drones.

He's careful to side step the caltrops (cutting a diagonal for my last 15 feet of movement right before those spaces.)

He lashes out at the drone with his solar weapon.

Slashing Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Despite his philosophical opinions about conflict, it is only in a life or death situation that he is able to connect with the pulse of the universe.

Naboh pulls his rifle and fires at Blue.

Exemplar's shot goes wide, but Naboh's bullet smacks into the meat of the bot's chassis just before Azara's ankh clonks in to join it!

The damaged robot wobbles unsteadily as it carefully floats away from Azara. Then with a tremendous roar it opens fire at the no, the sheer recoil of its oversized gun hurtling it backwards through the air!

The other drone rounds the corner to put Gary King squarely in its sights before also hurtling backwards from the uncompensated force of its cannon.

I've been SHOT!

Gary fires back at the bot that shot him. The shoot goes wild.

And then scurries for cover.

Quig is readying to attach the 'red' bot when flies out of view, he spins to the other and launches a DDOS attack in the device before firing on it.

Azara grits his teeth as the gunfire tears into him. Yet, he seems undaunted.

"Flee though you may, no man or thing escapes the darkness or the light," he says as he follows the careening drone and lashes out again.

Azimuth 43 degrees, projected dodge vector quadrant seven...aim down and to the left for best results.

Naboh engages his targeting computer (Move action) and fires at Blue if it's still moving, Red if not.

Exemplar shakes his head and takes aim at the red painted bot.

Laser Pistol Azimuth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4

**KLONK** With shower of sparks, Azara sends the drone careening in two separate directions. Naboh follows up on this good example by spanging a shot off of one of the remaining bot's rotors.

Obviously affronted, and not just responding to its IFF software, the drone returns fire on the nimble ysoki, scooting up against a wall as the large caliber rounds fragment the deck around Naboh, spattering him with shrapnel!

"Ashes to ashes, silicon to silicon," Azara comments as he downs the drone that shot him.

He stands over it for only a moment before turning around to rush back towards the remainder of the conflict.

Double move toward the other drone. Remaining fully Photon Attuned.

Naboh's pinpoint accuracy puts another pockmark in the remaining drone!

Quig rushes into the open, using the same DDOS attack on RED.

He aims at the red lit drone.

"Eek, this is bad"

Quig's needles plink harmlessly off the drone's frame. Seeing the approach of a deadly looking ankh, the drone doesn't maintain the same rate of fire at Naboh, stitching a line of bullets that painfully crack against his carbon-skin before floating to the opposite side of the strange pylon.

Naboh moves into cover and keeps firing at the remaining robot.

Come on now, somebody blow that thing up! Gary calls out, aiming his pistol in case and open shot arises.

Move - Get 'um; Std - ready to shoot if I see the bot.

Gary, go ahead and please toss your readied shot in a spoiler. (Easier for me to resolve if I can just apply it when it comes up)

Pointing his pistol down at the floor and away from anyone, should it go off accidentally. Exemplar concentrates for a moment and a light seems to radiate from him. May the light of Iomedae heal your wounds

So far everyone's just lost Stamina Points, so the channel won't do anything yet
