Garran runs down the stairs, sword and shield out to attack the guard down there.

I think I need two actions to get down the stairs and into position, so that's my turn. On a tablet, so I can't access the map.


Alika's scimitar grazes Vancaskerin's arm, drawing a thin line of blood and a grunt of pain from the ex-sergeant.

Game Concluded

The dhampir's shows surprise when the man catches her off-guard. It takes a moment for the sensation of burning pain to sink in, but then her surprise is masked with fury.

"Motherf...!" she begins, but then rage takes over and she spews forth a animalistic growl. "I am going to take that spear and shove it down your throat, you betraying pile of festering h+$+*%+++! I'm going to break it in two and shove the other piece up your ass! I'm going to ..." Her announcements of her plans for the man's fate get more extreme and unrealistic as she continues. Unfortunately, her anger has clearly disrupted her form as her blows punch into empty air.

Verik shifts away from Nicoleta’s enraged haymakers, but it gives Alistair an opportunity to sink his rapier into the sergeant’s shoulder. Vancaskerkin shouts in pain and wrenches away from the attack.

Below, the thin thug shrugs off Danni’s hastily thrown cantrip and draws his longsword. ”Attack,” the man shouts. ”We’re under attack!” His swing takes Danni in the side, leaving a bloody gash. The other thug reacts by throwing a meat cleaver directly at Garran. Moving with speed of experience, the warrior knocks the clumsily hurled weapon away with his sword. Snarling, the heavy thug draws a blade of his own.

Danni takes 5 damage. Garran and Alika may now act.

"Get behind me," Garran tells Danni as he swings the flat of his blade at the thug's head, trying to knock him out.

don't think she can activate it til next level but it's to cast magic missile

Why wouldn't Danni be able to activate it? Magic Missile is a level 1 sorcerer/wizard spell.

I think the only confusion was you probably meant to say 'next round' and you said 'next level'. Unless this is going to be a really long combat. :) :) :)

That was my confusion, yes. Drawing it next round makes more sense. Also, a 5-foot step isn't a move action, if you only took a 5-foot step.

The flat of Garran's blade clobbers the man in the head, sending him reeling. A magic missile launched from Danni's extended wand finishes the job, knocking the man out and onto the floor.

Upstairs, Alika slashes at Verik again, biting through his chain armor and leaving a deep wound. The sergeant shouts and thrusts his spear at Nicoleta again, stabbing into her side. The monk collapses, dark blood pouring from the wound. Verik whirls, teeth gritted. "Which one of you is next?"

Nicoleta takes 11 damage and is unconscious. Alistair can now act.

You'll just have to declare at the beginning of the game that all your dice are inverted. Then you'll be golden.


I've found that declaring that it's Opposite Day can help.

The handsome man steps back and resets his stance. Still not sure if his right handed weapon connected flesh or armor as it was hard to tell now but he knows the left one slid right on past the target.
You sure you do not want to give up. You keep tilting when you really should withdraw...You have a chance to live if only you were smart enough to take it.
