No, we just have him go regular wererat and have him be a monster during the full moon.
Zamanda
Not me. Mine has to be mithral to remove all the penalties.

Hmmm...good point. I was thinking of picking it up as a temporary upgrade, but maybe I'd rather allocate my share toward a mithral set so I don't have to sell it.

Hi all. Just saw a twitter update the site was back up. I’ve been traveling since Wednesday and every time I’ve tried to logon the site has been down. Will be home again on Wednesday and will try to update the next day or two while traveling if the site allows it. Hopefully things will stabilize soon and this is the end of it.
GM Snowheart
Okay. Fingers crossed the boards are now back up. I am also back from vacation and have a lot of email to get caught up on, but I'm going to get everything updated in the next day or two.
In the meantime, if you haven't already, please "dot" in here so I know you're back online after Paizo.com's outage. Thanks!!!
Zamanda
I'm here. Site just keeps going down when I try to get in. Sorry.

So anybody have any thoughts on Return of the Runelords?
For those of you who don't know, Paizo—who are working on transitioning to the second edition of Pathfinder and finishing up at the War for the Crown Adventure Path—are moving on to their final two adventure paths that will function using the first edition Pathfinder rules. The first up of these two is Return of the Runelords, the third installment of the runelords trilogy consisting of Rise of the Runelords and Shattered Star. It is also the first Adventure Path that is going to reach level 20 without using Mythic.
The player's guide. for Return of the Runelords came out today and after skimming it over it's very clear that they expect that you have played Rise of the Runelords and Shattered Star. Even if you run this Adventure Path without playing the aforementioned two adventure it says that those two adventures have happened at this point. This is the first time Paizo has ever put out an adventure path that canonically takes place after another adventure path. (The Hell’s series take place simultaneously, And Shattered Star gives GM's several outs to not run Rise of the Runelords.)
The information on the second adventure came from the Pathfinder wiki so I’m not going to say anything about that.

I am going to Italy for 10 days for my 20th anniversary. I don't anticipate being able to post much, so feel free to bot!
Buona fortuna mentre me ne sono andato!
GM Snowheart
Oooh! Have a great trip! Where in Italy are you going?
Also, congrats on 20 years!
GM Snowheart
Nice. We only managed Florence and Tuscany. You'll have a fabulous time, I'm sure.

Also, just a heads-up...
I am going to be traveling for a conference Sunday through Wednesday evening. I will try to keep up with the posts but will likely not have ready access to the PDFs I need to run combats and navigate around the Watch Tower, so please bear with me during that time.

I’m a f eww sheets to the wind right now, but:
caster level × spell level × 10 gp*
And needs to be a 12th level caster. Either remove disease or remove curse, not sure which. Can follow up tomorrow.
GM Snowheart
Oh my. I think we miscommunicated somehow. The wolfsbane wouldn’t cost that much. The spell would cost that. I think the wolfsbane probably would have been ten gold or so. It was being offered as the cheaper solution. I’m sorry.
Kalem Darkborn
Really?
https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/afflictions/poison/
It says here 500 gold.
As for the spell being cast...
caster level × spell level × 10 gp
So 12 x 3 x 10 = 360...
Huh. Well then, now I feel really foolish. For some reason I was thinking that it was going to be 3,000 gold ish. Probably because of the miscommunication on it being the cheaper option.
Ah well...what's done is done. If nothing else the apothecary took advantage of the plague, a bad situation, and an unpopular minority to make a good profit.
GM Snowheart
Ah, I’m sorry Kalem. Had I been paying more attention I might have caught this. Sorry. This conference plus my regular work (which hasn’t stopped) is eating up a lot of my attention.
I’ll make it up to you with some sort of loot drop or something.
Kalem Darkborn
No worries! I've got super lucky already. Alternate SLA being +2 Cha? That alone gave me a head start. If anything, this just got to show the state that the city is in, and is just that extra little push for Kalem to really start exploring the power of his blood (ie: Oracle Dip). So all in all? I've got no hard feelings over this on my end. Heck, I chose to sell off useful equipment for RP when I know that the party would have gladly chipped in. I made the call, and I'm more than happy to live with it.
Zamanda
I'm always willing to chip in for any party expenses as well.
Varor
I have my own plans for my gold but I know that chipping in to help keep the party functioning is a necessary investment. As a character I know Varor would be willing to pay for the cure by himself.
GM Snowheart
It looks like the next stop is the manor house. I’ll try to have an update up for you on that tonight. Thanks for bearing with me while I was at this conference. I’d like to say I learned a lot but mostly I spent all the sessions dealing with work remotely. Almost a total waste of time. Sigh.
Kalem Darkborn
Naturally, RL always comes first. Sad though, that it wasn't a good use of your time.
And looking forward to looting the high heavens out of this manor. :)
Knowledge Local to know a good fence that mundane furniture and silverware can be sold to: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Based on that, what kinds of items would Kalem believe that he could find an easy market for?
Varor
Well at least now we finally confirmed my great weakness: Poking. First I get nearly taken out by rapier and now I suffer a painful wound by a fence. I see one scorpion and I I am running.
Zamanda
Sorry about this, but life...
I am moving to Texas next week, and won't be able to post for sure Monday-Thursday, and it just depends on what is going on whether I will be able to post the rest of the week. Hopefully will be back up and normal on Monday the 29th latest, since I start my new job that day, so things have to be resolved at least that much.
Please bot me as needed.
GM Snowheart
No apologies needed! Good luck with the move. It's one of life's most stressful events.
GM Snowheart
I will have an update up this afternoon.
Also, just FYI, we're going on a small trip for a long weekend so I'll be primarily limited to using my phone and updates will need to be short. I'll do what I can to keep the combat moving in the meantime.

A couple of you have mentioned some confusion on the maps. It took me a little time to line things up but I think it's appropriately lined up, although the stairs on the lower level are not drawn in a particularly intuitive fashion.
To describe the stairs as descending from the second floor...
There is a portion in the middle of the gallery that is open to the great hall below. At the SE corner of that opening are the stairs that start to descend from east to west. Then, on the map of the first floor, those stairs continue down to the west, hit a landing, then curve to the north and finish at the floor of the great hall.
Bashiel Eland
I guess that means its time for the rest of us to start choppin'. :>
(Also, thanks for the clarification on the map Snow!)
GM Snowheart
As mentioned, this weekend we were on the road for a family vacation and I've now been roped in to help with payroll while the usual person is unexpectedly out of the office. Sorry for the delay. I will try to get an update up soon.

Switching this to Discussion.
...I realize I didn't actually heal anything after our encounter with their rats. Now there are two ways for me to heal the damage; spells and channels. As I mentioned before I imagine I use all of my spells off screen to help other people. Spontaneous Casting included. I'm pretty sure I mentioned it back at the beginning of the campaign and I mentioned it as a reminder earlier.
Thats spells gone so what about channels? Well, to be honest, I completely forgot about them.
I can't imagine you would have gone into the situation without having fully healed yourself. The player might forget, but the character wouldn't. This one time, I'm willing to handwave and say you were all fully healed and at full resources before coming here. I'm pretty sure you did rest after the rats, and the Abadaran priest would have likely helped, too.
Now, if despite being fully healed, you're still put at -1 or below...
But to show that I am at least capable of functioning in society I remembered I have a Dawnflower Sash. When the wearer is dropped in the negative hit points, if the wear of the Dawnflower Sash has Sarenrae as their patron, it can as an immediate action cast cure light wounds.
I'm pretty sure I still take bleed damage though...
A creature that is taking bleed damage takes the listed amount of damage at the beginning of its turn. Bleeding can be stopped by a DC 15 Heal check or through the application of any spell that cures hit point damage (even if the bleed is ability damage). Some bleed effects cause ability damage or even ability drain. Bleed effects do not stack with each other unless they deal different kinds of damage. When two or more bleed effects deal the same kind of damage, take the worse effect. In this case, ability drain is worse than ability damage.
Since the sash is an immediate action (i.e., not on your turn), technically the bleed damage hasn't started yet. And if you're able to apply healing before your turn, then the bleed doesn't have a chance to kick in.
Varor
If I’m at full health my HP is at nine and the Dawnflower Sash auto-cast will only activate at negative hit points, so the bleed does take effect which drops me to six on my next turn.
Thanks for the hand-wave Snowheart.

I have 5 mirror images so I should be okay. Maybe we should have anyone we're worried about getting dropped head to a safe area while the rest of us hunt her down. If we can corner her somewhere, I think we would have a better chance.
