Is Donager channelling to heal or to harm? I haven't added any HP yet, let me know if it is to heal all of us.
Crain flies into a rage and attacks the demon.

Round 2
Gregor shares what he knows in an effort to aid his compatriots in the fight against the thing. "It's a Daemon, not a Demon. Leukodaemon to be exact. Do not waste time with any energy effects beyond sonic or force based attacks. Also, you will need either a holy weapon or one made of silver to have full-effect with your attacks, so Mithril works. Be wary, it has a penchant for spreading disease with its bow."
Bard song, Inspire Courage (round 2-4) +2 to atk/dmg
Mai Asta Isabella |
Mai Sneak attacks from G8 with her katana

DireMerc |
Sorry for the delay I was away from the pc for the past 2 days. Assume the channel from before was to heal
Crain I assumes most out of the cloud of flies going to d9 to attack.
Every attack in the first round misses the daemon.
Drakus is still in the cloud of flies and so takes another damage from flies: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 3, 2) = 14 14 damage, reflex save dc 21 for half and must make another dc 19 fort save or be sickened.
The demon steps back to F9 moving into a corner he targets Crain and shoots his bow loosing two arrows.
attack 1: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (19) + 18 = 372d6 + 8 ⇒ (6, 1) + 8 = 15
attack 2: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 172d6 + 8 ⇒ (5, 6) + 8 = 19
Make a fort save dc 21 with a -4 penalty for each hit, I assume 1.
Mai moves up and lands the first successful hit on the daemon dealing it 22 damage (assuming it doesn't bypass his Dr)
Everyone can go again except for Mai who posted a little ahead. That crit was her action for this round.
Sgt. Drakus |
Round 3____________

Round 3
Gregor sees the daemon back itself into a corner, and feels a little exulted by the prospect. "If we can keep him hemmed in, he'll have less options." he explains for the others.
Inspire courage continues +2 atk/dmg
Double move to F8 (as Pai said she was in G8).
Pathing: A6, B6, C5-G5-G7, F8
Crain Tresselmore |
DM, I forgot the Inspire Courage bonuses to my attacks and damage in my last post. Please add two to each attack and damage, although I suspect I still missed with both.

Donagar had been looking for a way around the flies...seeing them disperse he goes ahead and goes for a hit on the demon....

Round 4
Not having much else to resort to, Gregor swings his heavy mithral shield at the creature, knowing that at least the metal should help get past its defenses. "Great work, Crain, keep on him. Everyone, we must ensure that Sgt Drakus and Crain can continue to be at their best."
Last round of Bard song (but will redo next round)
Mithral shield bash, 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 2 = 20, don't think it hits, but 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Crain Tresselmore |
Those both miss with my current AC.
Crain laughs as he sees the tide turning. "I told you what would happen if you didn't leave, demon! Soon, they will call me Demonslayer!"

Mai Asta Isabella |
That thing is completely boxed in, I can't get a good flank, unless it moves westward.
Mai thinks
"It would of been better to let him fight the high Priestess and not us."
Mai moves to G8->G5->D5 and gets out her bow.
She's going for a shot and hide, repeat stick.
Gregor Ward |
Round 5:
At Donager's comment, Gregor sneers "Maybe that's what they teach to the followers of a God whose claim to fame is being blackout drunk, but as a proud member of the Korvosan Guard, I will not just take a denizen of known plane of evil simply on their word. Sgt Drakus and I have the protection of the city to uphold, as is our duty, and we stand by it." Gregor hates to hear the kind of talk that equates to standing by and doing nothing, and it impassions his words.
Standard, Inspire Courage: +2 atk/dmg saves vs fear/charm (rounds 5-7)
Crain, don't you also get a -2 AC for raging? I think that's why the GM asked about the +6 you needed to have a 30 AC.
Crain Tresselmore |
Aw heck, Gregor, you are right! I completely forgot that! So yes, I got hit with the first claw. Do I need a fort save for the attack? That makes my AC 28 while raging.
DireMerc |
I thought something wasn't adding up although I'd forgotten about Ironskin as well.
Fort save vs contagion yes dc 19
attacks crain again.
Struck once more by crain but avoiding each other blow the demon says
"We will see mortal you may yet not survive this encounter."

Sgt. Drakus |
Round 6____________
Still sickened, Drakus continued his apparently fruitless attack on the daemon.
Bardiche attack 1: 1d20 + 12 - 2 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 12 - 2 + 2 - 2 = 11 for a possible 1d10 + 6 + 4 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 4 + 2 - 2 = 20 magic, silver and slashing damage.

Sparks fly as Drakus puts mighty hits very close to his teammates.
Crain Tresselmore |
Crain keeps the pressure up on the demon.

Round 6:
Seeing one of their allies greatly wounded, and the cleric do nothing about it beyond swinging futilely at the daemon, Gregor rushes over to where he can safely cast a spell on Crain. "Stay with us Crain, you are definitely producing results."
Inspire courage continues (rounds 6-7)
Move, to D9
Standard, Cast Cure Moderate on Crain 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (4, 8) + 5 = 17
EDIT: Crain at this level, your Raging Max HP should be 3 higher.
Crain Tresselmore |
Is that right? If you all haven't noticed, I'm a little bit out of my element playing a front liner (usually a caster), so please, if you see something wrong or that I am not doing my math correctly, please yell at me and I'll get it straightened out. I'll add the three HP now.
Sgt. Drakus |
Round 7____________
Still sickened, Drakus continued his apparently futile attack on the daemon.
Bardiche attack 1: 1d20 + 12 - 2 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 12 - 2 + 2 - 2 = 16 for a possible 1d10 + 6 + 4 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 4 + 2 - 2 = 16 magic, silver and slashing damage.
Bardiche attack 2: 1d20 + 7 - 2 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 7 - 2 + 2 - 2 = 19 for a possible 1d10 + 6 + 4 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 4 + 2 - 2 = 18 magic, silver and slashing damage.
Growling with irritation, Drakus gouged an outline of the daemon into the wall with his repeated flailings.
Crain Tresselmore |
in this battle of attrition, Crain hopes he can carry the day. He grits his teeth and chops away.

Round 8____________
Still sickened, Drakus continued his attack on the daemon.
