The king is dead! In the Varisian port city of Korvosa, the death of a monarch leads to chaos, and only a small group of heroes can hope to save the city from its own darkest tendencies.

Casting: When casting a spell defensivly if you fail you do not automaticly lose the spell, rather you provoke an attack as you normally would for not casting defensive. If you are hit you must make a concentration check dc 10+damage taken if you fail this check you lose the spell.

Rolls:
Many rolls will be handled by the GM in secret.(don't worry, I don't fudge.)
Any result that can influence the character behavior will not be rolled open.

Sense Motive.

if you make the check I will send you a pm or make a post and put it in a spoiler depending on the situation.

Sometimes I will roll Initiative others I will ask you to roll depending on the situation. In some situation (rarely) I will bypass init entirely and have you all go first and enemies second or have enemies go first and you all go after.

Combat rules:
I'm a fair GM, I dont roll combat in secret, I don't change results, I don't ignore bad calls from the characters.
Sometimes, character dies, but I'm not a player killer, if I think that an encounter will be easy handled, when it should be more challenging, I will make it a more challenging, if the party it's not prepared to face something, I will drop hints, if they insist... well killing one or two players never made me lack sleep...

Actions:
I'm a GM that do not punish the character for trying something new or cool, or even strange. Visual appealing actions are encouraged, the dc will of course depend on what are you trying, but you can try! If what you want to do is wicked cool, I can even bend the game mechanics to allow it! The most importat part is: You are villains. Villains are smart, resourceful and have style! Have you ever seen a memorable villain that could just swing his sword and do nothing more?

Posting Rate
If it could be done, I expect 1/day posting, if you can post more, it will really good.
During weekend, this rule does not apply. If you are able to post, great! But dont stress over this, everyone need some time to rest (In my case, I need time to play and DM :D on my tabletop games).

Level up
Aside from character creation, when you level up, if you want something not from core rulebook, you'll need to search it inside the game. basicly what you need to do is just show in game your character is searching for that knowledge. This rule is not meant to prohibit anything, I just don't like something like this: "Character always as a full caster, never picked up a sword in his entire life, and then he gain a new level and says: Master, I'll level up as a fighter now..."

Yes and yes Mai.

The door comes crashing down and the gas pours out into the next room dissipating it enough that you are safe from it's effects.

Dozens of the living dead line the walls of this next chamber, their rotting faces sneering and broken fingers clawing at each other. A layer of rotting bodies lines the floor, the shattered forms twitching in vain, bones and splintered appendages grasping hopelessly. Yet, rather than some massive, nightmare grave, this horror-show seems instead to be a stomach-churning attempt at art, as the mangled living dead lie trapped behind walls and beneath a floor of thick glass.

There is nobody in the room currently. Dr.Davaulus ran to the double doors and the two physicians went into the north-western door after speaking to him.

Caring not for his safety, Crain chases in the direction he thinks the doctor went. "Forget the helpers! Focus on the doctor!"

Drakus lumbers after Crain.


You open the doors and see a large room with 3 larges vats and some catwalks that go over them. A group of zombies is moving into position to block you path as you open the doors and several women in purple dresses with bare arms covered in skull tattoos are dipping their scythes into the vats to cover their blades with a viscous green liquid.

Dr.Davaulus is on the catwalk in the back next to one of the women.

"They are here! Stop them! Kill them!"

"Sisters, intruders assault our temple! We will stop them here! You have the blessing of the pale princess and her weapon coats your blades. Fight well!" says the woman next to Davaulaus casting a spell. (casting bless)

Drakus set his shield, then lashed out at the northernmost enemy in a Power Attack.

Drakus manages to quickly take down one zombie and harm another. The zombies move up to attack and provoke attacks for Drakus.

Drakus finishes off a second zombie (the one he hit before) as it steps forward.

One zombie attacks Drakus but he easily blocks the clumsy blow.

The priestesses all move in positions on each side of the room all casting a the same spell (spellcraft to identify).

Davaulus uses a wand and sends a pair of magical bolts flying into Drakus

The woman next to him summons a floating scythes made of force that moves to attack Donagar.

DM, how much time has expired since we entered teh building? I don't think 7 minutes will have passed, but if I am wrong, let me know. Reason I ask is my Shield spell expires after 7 minutes and your last post would have hit me without that spell in effect.


My estimate puts it at about 5 minutes since you came in.

Gregor turns toward the two men that just hit him with the concoctions, and spoke the command word on his wand, causing a puddle of slippery goop to appear right under their feet. Then he steps to the wall to try and hinder their shots, while he stows the wand.

Stung again by the magic missles, Drakus again cleaves at the two enemies to his south.

He power attack/Cleaves the ones at (F14) and (F15).

IF the first attack hit, THEN cleave to the next one...

"Take care of this while I go find the high priestess" says Davaulaus and he runs past (provoking an attack for Mai) he yelps as Mai stabs him but keeps running an opens a nearby door.

"With pleasure" says the cultist woman. She moves in between Mai and the doctor and takes a swing at Mai.
