Sekkim you criticaled (19-20) with the crossbow again!!
reroll to confirm!
Your vast knowledge gives you nothing extra, but you spout off some of your fancy book learning to the plebes and they seem somewhat impressed, if they understood anything at all...
Buchart swings his longsword and creates a great gust of wind - in front rather than behind him this time.
Party up!!

Sekkim fires another crossbow bolt and criticals! Some of the damage goes through.
The Golem is looking pretty beat up at this point,.
Rolande dives behind the Golem next to Fernleaf and as an added bonus provides a flank (+2 to hit) to Buchart and Anaba (+3 total with the higher ground)
Cela & Fahari are up!

Anaba - you have the Golum's attention! Keep keep swinging or drop your weapon and grapple (your strength is only 9 right now). A successful grapple will make using the key easy and avoid a AOO.

With Fernleaf's +4 to dex he gets the pool key in on his second attempt (double move action) turns it and the Golem stops moving. Out of combat.
You check out the last room on this floor (Fernleaf used the pool key to open the door already) and find several items lined neatly on the table; 3 small wooden cases, A large wooden box and two leather scroll cases.

I will check for traps on each item. I may be rolling too many times, etc. Please advise.
Case 1 Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Case 2 Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Case 3 Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Large Wooden Box Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Leather scroll case 1 Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Leather scroll case 2 Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Confirm crit on Leather scroll case 2
[dice=Perception]1d20 + 6
Kudos on your fine critical perception Fernleaf. And I must say to all of us, that was some fine/fun work in there!
However, there is still a youngster to rescue. Are there any doors in this room besides the one we just used?

i suggest, once all of the fun of treasure discovery and looting is done, that we rest here. It is easily defensible and we seem to have cleared this level. The spellcasters are likely at low tide and our tank is weak. We will not be able to rescue anyone if we are not strong and prepared. If nothing else, we can bring the bodies back for decent burial. This is more than we bargained for and I am not excited about getting killed here.

It was indeed well done. Great job knocking down the golem. The sneak attack was by far our best option. A great stroke of luck to have the thief nearby with the key. Overwhelming force and sneaky stealth FTW!!!

Ah, yes! The bodies and it grows dark! I will look at the scrolls to see if there is indeed something to aid our friend Anaba to regain her strength. We might need her strength to achieve the burial quickly!
That last bit you said reminds me of a fable I heard as a child. The story of Mongo the Unclean and his friend Sheriff Bart!

I still feel weak, but definitely well enough to grapple the golum into submission! Good work everyone! I suggest we take some time to eat and rest. We will be better equipped to help those in need if we are at our best.

Very nice, a scroll for a druid and a scroll for a wizard! We should use these since the Society will probably insist that we give them back anyway!
I still have my offensive spells and two pool points. I can take first or last watch. As long as I get my eight hrs with an hour of study I'm good! I have an itching sensation in my mind that we aren't going to get a full night's rest, though! This time be sure to use a sunrod if anything fishy starts to happen. Whoever is on watch just needs to strike the gold end on the ground and there'll be bright light for six hours. At least that's what the fellow at the Society Gift Shop said!

You still have three small wooden cases and a large wood case to open.
Buchart is correct use everything - since you can't keep them unless you buy it per Pathfinder Society rules. Wizard spells however can be copied into books for later use! Just pay the nominal charges to make copies.
Cela says prayers over the dead. Do you want to fish the skeletons out of the fire before they turn to ash? They are resting in a large brazier 1/4 filled with oil. You notice there is a chimney in here that would probably make the room not so smokey if it was just oil burning. You figure their parents will probably want to bury them.
You can tell by the scratch marks and bones in the hallway that the room with Roldare is a safe room. Looks like they tried and failed to get in. Also it has supplies and sleeping mats.
As you are setting up the room - Roldare produces a lantern and says -"Iiiii fffforrrgggot ttto mmmention this. Wwwe were sssuposed ttto get ttthis lit and bbbring back the eeverflame. Ccacan yyou ddo iit?"
| Cela |
yes i carefully fish out the skeletons and pile up the bones neatly. I doubt I can sort them by person so i will neatly tie them in bundles and stack them in the room with Roldare.. Also I will light his lantern
I also tuck the barkskin scroll away safely
Then i find a corner and set up my mat for resting

It is a bit dangerous work, but with help you manage to get the bodies (skeletons now) and bits of leather out. The room clears of most of the smoke after 10 minutes. You place the in the entrance room near the rest of the dead.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
When you go to check on the two elderly people by the stairs you notice the bones are starting to gather back together...repairing themselves. Eeeek!!

I will also go around using Disrupt Undead on any skeleton that tries to gather itself!
Then I will open the box and cases, but only if we do more checks on them!
Knowledge Arcana: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
I will wait for Fernleaf to give them another look and for Sekkim to check them, as well.
I'm starting to get the creeps from Roldare, though! Can anybody Sense Motive?

You disrupt undead "per the spell: You direct a ray of positive energy..."
The skeletons are done now looks like some positive energy was needed to keep them down or they would have risen again.
Checking the remaining boxes...
in each of the small boxes you find wands with small pieces of paper telling you the command words and what the wand is.
Wand of produce flame (10 charges)
Wand of mage armor (10 charges)
Wand Shocking Grasp (10 charges)
The large case is full of vials all labeled as follows:
Potion of Bulls Strength
Oil of magic weapon X2
Potion of invisibility
Potion of cure light wounds
Potion of cat’s grace
Elixir of tumbling

OOOOOhhhh. Great stuff!!!
The Bull's Strength should go to Anaba.
Oil o' magic weapon might be really handy for ??? Chime in here. Who was missing magic weapons?
Potion of invisibility is very nice for a thief... I will take please?
CLW to anyone in need. Use it first before any spells from memory or wands
Cat's grace... also good for a thief but others could benefit as well (Rolande?)
Elixer of tumbling - Rolande makes sense.
Those wands are all badass, too. Can we divide them up so all can be used simultaneously? Who can use wands?
