Actually, as soon as I realized that Irnk was taking control, I knew that the best and most fun way for it to end would be to have the goblins follow in the caravan. I think it would be awesome! If and only if our dear GM does not make them all into suicidal maniacs and if they are willing to listen to Irnk's advices.
Anyway, will write one more post that should infuriate Irnk later tonight.
Edit: level 7 feat: everyone takes leadership and picks a goblin.
Sybil Vekker |
That may be, but right now, to a certain degree, Sybil is acting more like a 'dwarf' than she is like 'Sybil'.
Humm, I am curious to know what you mean by that! If you have any pointers as to how you think Sybil should act, tell me, I would be quite interested. Even more so since you play Irnk so well!

Hi guys! We're from the Inner Sea! We brought trade goods, and GOBLINS!!! You're welcome!
Fortunately, the Dragon Empires already have Goblins. Or at least Goblinoids...

Yeah...
Mostly it's simply that, remember, both of them only just met each other yesterday. Other than refraining from attacking him on sight, (Which I've already established he doesn't know is in fact entirely acceptable 'good' behavior for Dwarfs)*, he hasn't really seen what is 'Sybil' & what is 'Dwarf'.*Of course, if she was raised in a traditional Dwarf community, she probably does know that genocide against Goblinoids is entirely acceptable behavior for Dwarfs...

Gutwad's head is actually in reference to this:
Things seem to be escalating but are interrupted when the door swings open with a crack. Standing in the entrance is Sheriff Belor Hemlock, he scans the room, eyes finally settling on the two customers. Seeing him the local man immediately apologizes and retakes his seat. Ameiko and Sandru pause their conversation and turn to the door.
”Gentleman.... And ladies," He says tipping his hat to the room. "It's come to my attention that there is an issue that has cropped up with some goblins.” He walks over to Ameiko and hands her a scroll. “Ameiko, I figured I'd give your customers the first kick at the can on this... Sandpoint has reinstated a bounty on goblins. That's 10 gp for every relatively fresh goblin ear delivered to the town hall... with an additional reward of 300 gp for the group who can bring in the head of the Licktoads’ leader, Chief Gutwad."
Irnk, Prodigal of Old Deadeye |
Less for the 'reward' per se, than the fact that if they value his death that much (he's damn near literally worth more than all the others put together), showing the people of Sandpoint that Gutwad is dead should be worth convincing them that others aren't worth going after.
And if not, he intends to rub their noses in the fact that they really are just as vicious & savage as they say the Goblins are.

Sorry I haven't posted. I'll try to do it today, but maybe it will have to wait until tomorrow.
Galford Dao |
Sorry Guys but I work on weekends so I'm very slow on them....
I am enjoying the game so far.
Corsario |
Sorry, I can't post at the moment (Month's end processes running). I'll do it ASAP.

Ok, status information.
- Good news: I am handling out ok even without reliable home internet, and it seems like a land-line broadband internet is in the horizon.
- Bad news: (For my gaming, anyway). I got promoted (no pay raise, but yes recognition!), so I am taking over more responsibilities and facing some learning curve.
- Bad news: Health issues at home. Not me, but will take some time for my part.
- Good news: I am not going anywhere. I love our game, I love your characters, I love the history. I am here for the long run.
- Bad news: Lot of reading pending on the Adventure Path.
So:
- I need to be more organized and efficient.
- I will need to ease off a little bit with the posting.
- I need to find a way to deal with all the characters which is quick, but at the same time gives you all a change show your stuff. Make it fun for you as well as me.
I'll try to post in the afternoon.

Congrats on the job! From my point of view, you don't have to give each player feedback so often, so no problem. I shall be patient, plus it will give us time to do what we do so well, RP.
For dealing with each characters, in combat, this can be solved by only posting when each player as posted their action (suggesting that everyone will be more likely to post contingency actions).

Congrats on being Promoted!
Hope things get better for you at home.
We'll still here and We'll work something out as we go along.

Sorry if my portrayal of Sheriff Hemlock is not the same as with you last DM, but I play him as I see him, a no-nonsense Shoanti that doesn't like Goblins to begin with, much less in groups trying to get into Sandpoint.
Avan the Aloof |
I like this portrayal of Hemlock.
Avan's going to go look for Shalelu, I know chances of finding her are low but he resolved that solving this matter can only be done by her, as he doubts anyone in the town would stand up for the goblins, and ironically the one who has been killing them for a while now will...talk about complicated solutions.

My suspicion is that we've effectively got a three-day weekend in terms of posting activity. My own job allows me way too much opportunity to while away the hours online. It also normally starts on Saturday, so of course, what is for everyone else 'down time', is effectively my 'up time'...
Galford Dao |
I posted and Happy 4th to everybody though I myself don't celebrate it, different country and all.
Galford will try as he's still hurting from the death of a close friend and thus will try too avoid bloodshed as mush as possible.
