Kimmy claps her hands and has a seat I love scary stories. blow out the candle and tell me one

DM of the coins |

Vincez seems a bit afraid of Impy and instictivly seems protective of his legs.
he then looks to Valdric.
It is said that there are tribes of warriors that live in the heart of the Mwangi expanse, they are said to eat the flesh and drink the blood of their fallen enemies so to learn their secrets and commune with their spirits. a means to better understand the enemy to help to defeat it. The demon's blood is used to infuse the weilder with the immunities of a demon to better combat evil

Balthe Synder |

Balthe steps back letting the others take over the interrogation, though he remains observant.

Grung Knife Tongue |

In the cabin
Grung thinks of all the stories he knows that might be scary and realizes Kimmy would be very afraid.
He heard a story about a little pack donkey and a big hill. Grung decided to tell that story instead....
The Little pack donkey story
In a certain village there stood an ex
tremely heavy load that had to be drawn up an
unusually steep mountain before it could reach its
destination. The Overseer of the yard was
not sure what it was best for him to do, so he
went up to a large, strong mule and asked :
"Can you pull that load over the hill?"
"It is a very heavy load," responded the mule.
He then went to another great big mule and
asked:
"Can you pull that train over the hill?"
"It is a very heavy grade," it replied.
The overseer was much puzzled, but he
turned to still another mule that was spick
and span new, and he asked it:
"Can you bring that load over the hill?"
"I think I can," responded the mule.
So the order was circulated, and the mule
was set so that it might be loaded down and as it went along it
kept repeating to itself: "I think I can. I think
I can. I think I can."
The load was made and the mule began
its journey, and all along the level, as it walked toward the mountain, it kept repeating to itself:
"I ---think ---I can. I ---think ---I--- can. I ---think--- I ---can."
Then it reached the grade, but its voice could
still be heard: "I think I can. I----- think-----I-----can.
I -----think----- I----- can."
Higher and higher it climbed, and its voice
grew fainter and its words came slower:
"I -------think --------I-------can."
It was almost to the top.
“I ---------think"
If was at the top.
"I ---------can."
It passed over the top of the hill and began
crawling down the opposite slope.
'I ------think------- I------ can------I----- thought------I-------could I----- thought-----
could. I thought I could. I thought I could.
I thought I could."
And singing its triumph, it rushed on down
toward the valley.

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
"I think you've been had. Taking over Port Peril, Red mantis assassins and the like.. a pipe dream. The goal is obviously to take over all of the lands, everything. Not just the lands controlled by less repretal individuals, but everything. We should have a talk with Daresh and find how truthful they really are..."

DM of the coins |

Vincez is convinced you will not let him go.
look you keep the vial, and since you will not let me go and since we are still at sea, then, when we make port, I will direct you to Daresh, and then you let me go. sound like a deal?

Balthe Synder |

Lets just say that will give you a chance of being let go. The better things go for us the better things go for you. For all I know yo uare directing us to a slaughter.

DM of the coins |

the little interogation going on is interupted by footsteps coming down below decks.
you got about 3 rounds before whoever it is arrives

DM of the coins |

Vincez agrees and offers no resistance to being put back in the cage.
You see Huxley coming down below decks.
if you are not being stealthy:
Ahh. there you are, checking your prisoner I see, you are needed on deck along with your priest friend, Captain Fenn is to be committed to the sea.

Impatiens Pallida |

"Right" Impatiens nods at the sailor.
Impy peers into the room. "Priest needed. Dead dude dump time."
Impy smiles reassuringly at Huxley, showing all her fa-, err, teeth.
Impatiens is never stealthy. Even when she tries to be, she is not stealthy :)

Grung Knife Tongue |

Grung jumps down from the top bunk grabs Kimmy and tosses her into a large empty sack, which he puts over one shoulder....
"Where Kimmy goes?"
He goes on deck and releases her.....
"That gobliny games called grab-knaps, I was tha grab-knapper, an yous got grab-knapped!"
Laughs.....

Balthe Synder |

We should be fine with him. The crew has no reason to kill him. We can get him there.

Impatiens Pallida |

"Funeral"
Impatiens wondered why funeral began with fun. Then she realized that every violent death began with violence. And some people found violence fun. Odd that, but it explained so much. Impatiens decided that when she died, she wanted a loveral.

Balthe Synder |

Out on deck, Balthe drinks down some wine from his skin and begins.
Captain Fenn. A man of the sea. He traveled and lived on the sea. He fought and in the end he died on it. Besmara asks no more of him other than we give his body to her embrace.
Balthe signals to the men to carry the body to the railing.
All who wish to speak step forward now.
Balthe speaks passionately, simply and gruffly.

DM of the coins |

the crew gathers for the cerimony. the ghost ship long gone. when any of you ask, everyone says it sank not long after rthey started to row away from it.
much of the tension of mutiny is passed. but only one is not present at the burial...Selene
Huxley steps forward. Captain Fenn was a long time friend. He bailed me out of many sticky situations, I was indebted to him. Many of you believe that him and this voyage are cursed. but I tell you now, It is my belief that Captain Fenn was not cursed. it was his time. we are now blessed by Besmaraas she has saw fit to provide us with one of her servents, to protect this ship and her crew. there is no curse...
Huxley steps down.
if there are no others then the body is dumped overboard.
any party memebers wish to add anything? if not we move on

DM of the coins |

moving forward
the next day there still is no wind. the crew though calmed about the division the previous day, still feel uneasy about the lack of wind. it was suggested that the sweeps be used , but without the promise of wind in may do nothing but wear out the crew.
as everyone goes about thier business, Old pete makes a comments about having an old fasion boxing match. nothing deadly,. Ox would best represent the ships crew, but who would represent the passengers?
Huxley agrees to it so long as no wagers are made. seems Huxley is not to fond of gambling for some reason.
Old Pete solicits for potential opponents for Ox to face.

Impatiens Pallida |

Impatiens stood resolute, her clump of hair tied together with a cerise ribbon. No gambling, then where's the fun?
"What prize for fight?" Impatiens grunted. A nice bottle of white wine would be good, she thought, to herself. But it will probably be beer. Which is liquid bread and does nothing good to my thighs.
"Cash good prize." she suggested, hoping against hope.

Kimberly Snow |

Kimmy looks to grung or do you have it in the bag? let me see kimmy tries to look in his bag he's carrying

DM of the coins |

Huxley agree that a prize would be nice.
just so happens that Captain fenn ahd a private sock of choice wines. the prize shall be coice of a single bottle. Old Pete likes this idea as well.
Ox looks at everyone Ox say, If Ox win then he get bottle wine and a date with her he points to Impy.
Huxley laughs but he agrees But only if the lady agrees as well.

DM of the coins |

Impatiens looks Ox over.
"What if I win?"
She thinks, the effort visible.
"Bottle of wine. Someone else do my laun-. No, bad idea. Two bottles of wine, if I win."
to Balthe
Huxley agrees to the two bottles after some thought. but he realizes that the morale of the crew is more important now than any winefor Impy
Ox thinks about Impy's offer about if she wins. can Ox still have date?

Grung Knife Tongue |

"Bag empty, might has someting deep in tha bottom....little further."
Once Kimmy is mostly in the bag Grung tosses her in and closes tha top....
"Goblin grab-knapper!"
"I wins!"

DM of the coins |

"That's why the second bottle. One for you, one for me."
"Ready"
Ox thinks about what she proposes.
Deal! he puts out his hand to shake on it.
Huxley certifies the deal. If there are enough then, two bottles of wine to the victor and an additional bottle for each participant.

Balthe Synder |

OK Impy make short work of that big Ox. May Besmara keep you safe. casts Bless on her for +1 to hi

DM of the coins |

sorry bout the delay got heavily involved in another game last night. (gotta be honest at least)
The match is set for after the evening meal. Old pete will referee and some of the others set up a 10' x 10' "ring" with some rope.
each combatant must fist bareknuckled. fight ends after 10 rounds and Huxley would declare a winner, or knockout, or yield.
all damage will be non-lethal
initiative will each round
neither side may wear armor
no weapons
no magic once the bell is rung
decision made partially on your description of actions. be creative and descriptive. if the description is done well enough then for sake of story I amy ignore the dice roll in favor of the flavor text.
EDIT: the dirty trick maneuver will not be allowed unless you can succeed both a DC 15 bluff and stealth check to hide the dirty trick

DM of the coins |

Fight round 1
Ox initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Ox steps into the ring. waving to the cheers of the crew.
Ox going to show girl to fight like real man! bantering with the crowd pounding his chest for emphasis
Ox cracks his knuckles and limbers up his arms then raisis his fists to fight.
come on girl, dis not make-up time

Balthe Synder |

He may look like a big, dumb, muscle bound oaf...well he is a big dumb muscle bound oaf...but...aw hell just go hit him!

Impatiens Pallida |

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 Initiative
Impatiens roars
She then hits him, hard, with a left jab.
1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 2 + 1 = 22 for 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 damage

DM of the coins |

Impy's fist slams into Ox's jaw, his sead twisting away from her as he feels the punch.
He then looks back at her. he smiles with a bloody smile.
Ox not like hit girl but no gilr hit Ox, so now we even
Ox steps in and backhands her across the face
attack roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Impy feels the sting of the slap
taking non-leathal damage: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
init next round: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Ox is AC 11, current HP 17/22
Impy the slap has left his midsection open you may take an extra attack at a -2 to hit
