Done upgrading Miyako! She got herself a +1 mithral breastplate.
GM, my previous Day Job gave me 50 gp and not 20 gp. I changed it on my chronicle sheet. (My faction card reward raised the Day Job's result.)

Gang I'm waiting on the arcane caster to join. I'm going to PM him, if I don't hear back quickly we'll move on.

![]() |

Since we have the chronicle boon, and since some of us can prepare endure elements, I guess I will get the oil of daylight for now. :)

![]() |

I'll admit, I had kind of forgotten what we were waiting for!

![]() |

I agree. Let's start. :)

Yes, sorry for the delay. I just posted, had a busy day yesterday. No word from SirPeter. I'll go ahead and invite someone else. If they want to jump in quickly, but we won't let it hold us up longer.
@Miyako -- Re Day job. Noted. Sounds good
@All - Re the Endure Elements boon, it states: "The benefits of this boon last until the end of the scenario." So once activate you are all covered by endure elements for the rest of the scenario. Also you don't have to cross the boon off for this adventure! So you can use it one more time in another scenario down the line.

@ Beauregard: Now that your fists are considered magical for the purpose of DR, would you mind letting other people carry your oils of magic fang to apply to Nuk's tusks in case we need it? Elska could carry one, and someone else could carry one.
@ Anyone else want to volunteer a turn to buff Nuk should we run across an incorporeal foe?

![]() |

Oh yeah sure, I forgot I had them, I have two, do you want to carry both?

![]() |

Oh yeah sure, I forgot I had them, I have two, do you want to carry both?
It would be best if someone else carried one of them. That way if we get into a situation where someone doesn't have a useful action for the round they can at least buff Nuk. I don't mind spending my actions to buff my animal companion, but there are times when it is more useful for someone else to do so.

![]() |

Okay, I'll carry one of my Oils of Magic Fang, now when I apply do I pour it down his trunk or. . . ?

Happy Birthday to The Fox!
Sorry your reroll didn't turn out so good. Good news you passed your reflex save it was DC12!

![]() |

Happy b-day, Foxy! :)

![]() |

Thanks everyone!

The Fox aka Elska pointed out I was playing the gaze attack slightly wrong. To clarify the gaze attack being made was a passive attack, you normally would roll this at the beginning of each players turn when within 30'. I was rolling it for you to simplify. But I had forgotten about how it worked and that you can choose to avert your eyes.
Averting Eyes: The opponent avoids looking at the creature's face, instead looking at its body, watching its shadow, tracking it in a reflective surface, etc. Each round, the opponent has a 50% chance to avoid having to make a saving throw against the gaze attack. The creature with the gaze attack, however, gains concealment against that opponent.
You can also: Wearing a Blindfold: The foe cannot see the creature at all (also possible to achieve by turning one's back on the creature or shutting one's eyes). The creature with the gaze attack gains total concealment against the opponent.
So once you pass you are immune for 24 hours. So Elska, Giltman, and Miyako are already immune; I owe Mido a chance to avert his eyes.

Merry Christmas! :)

![]() |

@ Giltman: I think your attack bonuses should be much higher. Usually, aren't they +8? Sickened for –2, but Inspire Courage for +2. And your damage should have +2 also from Inspire Courage. :)

![]() |

I was kind of wondering the same thing actually, I'm glad Elska had pointed that out, I was at work when I noticed and forgot by the time i got home.

![]() |

Happy New Year to All!
May your 2016 be filled with many fun adventures both in pathfinder and in life!
Agreed Giltman should have been at +8 unless I'm missing something. I'll adjust when I post.

Happy New Year!

![]() |

Indeed, I can't believe I've been playing with you guys for over one year now!

![]() |

Happy New Year!!

I just wanted to comment that this encounter is very well designed! The split-level element is really cool.

I am just excited to try and Powerbomb this guy into that vat of rice wine 10 feet below!

![]() |

Arrrggg... no escape artist skill...Escape artist 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 Hmm seem to be unable to move my token due to multiple layers of stuff on top of Mido
Mido Small and nimble manages to break out of the net. He once more calls out to Lord Mata Ryu hoping to distract the man so that Bo can give him what he deserves.
You are tempting fate out of greed and hatred! Consider however what might become of her reincarnation should you kill the girl. Surely the power will be greater than what you could ever muster!
Bluff1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28

Oh mixed up threads...I must admit Koaning BBG is pretty freakin powerful even if it only works every other turn...

![]() |

Umm...I don't think he's the BBEG. I think he is a pawn. We are looking for the hidden life of Bakten, and it is supposedly a woman.

Hey Gang -- I'm travelling all day today, so unlikely to be able to post. Feel free to discuss among yourself what you want to do and have a happy day.

![]() |

I've really been having a lot of fun in these two scenarios. I'm kind of disappointed that we are at the top of the tower and so close to the end. :) Thanks, everyone, especially our GM!

![]() |

Thanks! I feel the same, I really like what Paizo has done with this 2 parter! And this is a great group, I'm really enjoying it.
I've been thinking ahead a bit and #7–15: The Deepmarket Deception drops on Jan 27th.
When the Pathfinder Society claimed the Hao Jin Tapestry in Tian Xia, it seemed as though the Aspis Consortium’s influence there had ended. An anonymous informant recently identified an Aspis resurgence in Goka’s Deepmarket, and Venture-Captain Amara Li hopes that a small, well-trained team can ferret out the villains and prevent any greater atrocities. Can the PCs traverse the Deepmarket’s treacherous politics and tunnels and neutralize the Consortium’s local ringleader?
If anybody wants to keep going, this seems like a great next logical step. If you all don't mind staying in Tian Xia for another run.
The timing looks like it will work out very close to perfect. If anyone needs to drop out that's fine, but I would be glad to keep this group together.
Thoughts?

Elska is my Tian-Xia character. Any time a Tian mission comes up, I plan on playing it with her. So she's in! :)

![]() |

I'd be more than happy to continue with this group as well.
Also this has been a pretty awesome two part scenario.

Bo put a rank in Linguistics so he could learn Tien he spends so much time on this continent. He is down.

I meant to do the same after the QfP series, but forgot. Next level!

You level up after this though right?

One more, I think.
She'll learn Tien just in time to leave the continent. :)

I'm sure we'll be back. Maybe we do Ruby Pheonix Tournament as our seeker arc for these charcters

That'd be really cool!
And yes, I'm definitively in for another scenario with you. Have been enjoying these past scenarios very much! :)
