About Nuk, the Mammut Nuk's profile
10 Questions:
1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
My father, Hrold, is chief of the Bear Pelt clan. He agreed to let me see the world and get a modern education if I promised to return when his time comes to an end. My father's brother is a Pathfinder, and so I joined the Society. I still have not learned what has become of my Uncle, though. Hmm...
2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
I am Elska. My name means "Lovely" in the language of my people. (Hallit)
3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
I grew up under the open skies in the Realm of the Mammut Lords. Our land is most beautiful land in all of the Inner Sea region. Vast green valleys under deep blue skies. In the winter, we ski and sled and ride our mammuts. In the summer, we hunt the sabre-toothed cats that would prey upon our herds.
4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
I have blond hair, blue eyes, and pale skin. In the North, we keep warm by wearing many furs. Here in the heat of Absolom, I don't wear my furs.
5. What do you love?
I love Nuk, my mammut. He is a good little mammut. He might not look little to you, but one day, Nuk will be a very big mammut. Maybe even biggest mammut in all of the lands. You can tell by looking at his feet; Nuk has very big feet for a mammut so young.
6. What do you hate?
I do not hate much. It is a bad feeling to hate. Erastil teaches us to let go of hate.
7. Which other Pathfinders do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
Anybody I travel with is my brother. And to anyone who is good, I am a sister. So is the teaching of Erastil.
8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
I have not met many who are not human. Being a Pathfinder has allowed me to meet other races beyond what we have in the lands of the Mammut Lords.
9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
I worry about Nuk. He is still a young mammut. When he gets older, he will be big and strong. Until then, I must watch out for my mammut, Nuk.
10. What is your most treasured possession?
This darkwood bow has been in my family for many generations. I am the only girl in my tribe strong enough to pull it. Since I have no brothers, my father gave it to me.
