Thanks, I was pondering where their powers came from, too. I figured it's most likely if it's caused by their family/origin. A necromancing mother with undead bloodline is great for that :)

Regarding the *cough* dynamic - I mostly wrote that in jest, as it's the only other permanent PC in the game - considering they grew up together in a functional family, with westermarck-effect being a thing, I figure it would take quite a lot for that to happen. Possibly magics, compulsion or trickery from someone outside, even.
That said, I am quite willing to explore that path, since it would definitely make for very interesting RP, especially if that path is entered not of their own desire but by someone elses meddling, but I wouldn't want to "force it" if it does not fit the characters/plot, either(that is, no "ok, we're level 5 already, lets have a night of passion just because").
As said, no hurry at all, I was talking about the long run, there.(it would, of course, also be a good reason for running from home if we were a couple to begin with. But that would waste so much of that controversial RP potential when developing that relationship that I would not be very happy with a pre-existing one)
It just so happens that Robin is a persona where sexuality became part of the character, which is not a defining aspect for most of my characters. Just so you don't get the wrong idea -

One thing that I could see happening over time is the developing of a dd/lg dynamic, actually. I mean, we have a hedonistic sister and an overprotective big brother, so it seems a natural progression if we decide to go that route.

That said...I raised Robins wisdom during the rebuild, for mechanical reasons and due to altered build rules(no 8/18 any more) - but I guess I can still play her as irresponsible/(childish) as when it was a dump stat, greatly depending on her big brother to keep her in line and out of trouble.

Talk to your spouse. :-) A couple points in your favor: it's the 3rd most common fetish (behind impact play and rope), and it's generally completely nonsexual. RPing as a child is a great way to destress, after all, and coloring books and whatnot are fun. It's not one of my fetishes, but my wife and I know several people who enjoy it. Also, as I mentioned, it's possible for you to partake. I'm strictly monogamous, but I have no problem letting my wife get a foot rub, fire cupping, tied up, etc by someone else. The kink community is all about rules, consent, and negotiation. If you're interested, THIS is a good way to initiate a discussion. There's also Fetlife (Facebook for kinksters). Seriously, though, talk with your spouse. If a sheltered homeschooled 'good little Christian boy' (*cough* me *cough*) can be kinky, I wouldn't be surprised if your spouse has some kind of fetish as well. ;-)

No need for that. XD The dynamic I mentioned is a state of mind. A 'persona' that you put on at appropriate times. Robin can be played however you want, but I figure when she gets fed up with things, she may be prone to doing a "Okay, 'dad.' It's your turn to be the adult" thing. XD

Aww, don't feel bad. It's not like I was genuinely ignorant before, I simply did not know the term. Talking with the spouse is...not really an option. Soon after we moved in together, spouse found a not-so-hidden collection of ageplay porn and was greatly distressed over that, believing I had pedophiliac tendencies. Lenghty explanation calmed the waters there, but while spouse is into some bdsm, an inability and unwillingness to even roleplay in THAT direction has been established(that said, spouse is generally not much into roleplay, pen and paper or bedroom).

Regarding how to go about it with Robin: I don't think "slipping" into littlespace like that would easily work for her. She has an all-day ability to call fire(and later balls of fire) which does not mash well with being a defiant brat...and provides a more - direct - option to deal with whatever she is fed up with.
Generally being somewhat unreliable and needing guidance does fit the concept though. Akin to turning Hecate's plans into ashes and similar acts. No worries, I'll not turn her into a 7-year old that needs Kamali to tuck her in and read a bed-time story.
But being a bit TOO careless/reckless/curious/playful is fully within the parameters I was going for anyway - I can simply emphasize Kamali's role in that - making him a natural "guardian" of sorts to whom she submits.
If other woman are friendly with him, she may also feel threatened and defend her position...after all, if Kamali falls in love with a woman, he would no longer look after her like he does now, maybe even leave her - and she does not feel ready(never will) to be alone.

Sounds good. Kamali leans asexual, but that can easily change as the story progresses - assuming someone can pull him away from his constant brooding, of course. ;-)

Hej. Feeling fine again. Got worse before it got better.

Plus, once I was feeling a bit less ill, I had the bright idea of working on updating my computer system while I was home anyway, which caused some further problems with being able to go online.(Installing W7 on a M2 drive from USB is a mess by itself, certain boxed intel chips come without cooler, and I had no PCIe solution for Wifi(I use cards, not usb connectors)).

Either way, I'm back now and will catch up with all my games plus post today(within about 12 hours). Apologies for going missing. I did update some of my games when I originally fell ill, but not all - assuming I could post somewhat normally for those not moving at too fast a pace.

That install sounds majorly unfun. I've installed an OS via USB before, but that was without all the extra complications you mentioned. I'm glad you're doing better and am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.

Aye, thing is, windows 7 has no native support for either. So you got to modify the install file with up-to-date usb drivers, add NVMe drivers so it recognizes the hard disk to begin with, then the specific drivers for the type so it doesn't seem to install, only to fail with blue screen on reboot.
It was very not fun, but it's up and running, and I'll be fine again for a couple years now, at the least...don't need to be at the forefront of technology all the time, but my old rig was no longer upgradeable.

He is just the catalyst she uses, but Robins words are adressed to all of them.

Oh, I was busy working on it, and busy with work.
But when I first was up to post, I figured I'd need a moment to write up something to say and didn't post inmediately. Later I had decided on basically what I posted, but seeming only thought I already did so. Oh well :)

You may notice a new thing under the Ravengro map. The town's pretty insular and isn't particularly fond of outsiders. Since you'll be here for a while, though, you can change that - at least in regards to yourself and Kamali. As you interact with people and/or complete personal sidequests, you'll gain various minor boons like Diplomacy modifiers and store discounts. Conversely, if you piss everyone off enough, you'll get run out of town by a torch-and-pitchfork mob. XD Currently, most people are Neutral toward you. I'll put up a village roster in Campaign Info with info about the various people you meet and will update it as we continue the campaign.

Uhm, yeah, the "pissing off people"-result does not sound fun :)
So, we'll try and be sweet even if they are not nice.
Plus, you know, maybe keep him hidden, and not blatantly show off any orbiting souls.

Oh, I'm interested in seeing Kamali's reaction, but if you don't want to extend the inn scene further, feel free to either have Robin pass out(and taking her home), or push her into leaving(you'll have to hold her hair while she vomits halfway back to Kendra's place...fair warning) ^_^

That said, she won't make a scene if it's Kamali...it's deeply ingrained that he wants to keep her save, he is a voice of reason, he is family.
She may talk back or disagree, but in the end, she'd do whatever he orders. That is, she's more likely to throw a tantrum when she's sober than when drunk, because right know she knows her ability to judge a situation is impaired...know what I mean?

(Like you only get a trusted person as a sitter when doing hallucinogenic drugs - Kamali is hers - even if this is just alcohol-)

Short Version: I work for a school district via an interpreting agency. A couple months ago, the district threw out my contract due to a shortage of students. Of course, this happened AFTER the school year started. My boss at the agency couldn't find any work for me, so I started looking for a new job. Then the hurricane hit. Fortunately, since then, I've quit working for that agency, been hired by a new school district, and have guaranteed full-time employment. Now I just need to rebuild our savings, as we're a single-income household, and I've basically been unemployed for the last 3 months.

Mh...glad things turned around.

Sorry for taking my sweet time - due to some...circumstances, I also have rather little time right now for posting...situation should get better in a week or two, I'll try and get a post done today or tomorrow, just took a look and saw how long it's been since my last post...figured instead of hanging my head in shame, I'd rather let you know I'm simply rather busy right now and will be back to a normal posting ASAP.

I posted something similar in Hell's Vengeance a moment ago, so I'll keep this brief. Unfortunately, the requirements of my job have reduced my free time to almost nil, so I'm having to cut out multiple PbPs. For this campaign in particular, GMing takes up a significant amount of behind-the-scenes time due to managing the entirety of the town and all its ensuing drama. As such, my options are either continuing this campaign or continuing three campaigns that have been going on for multiple years IRL. Perhaps if you're still interested, we can pick Carrion Crown back up when my schedule isn't so crazy, but for now, I need to put this game on hiatus.

I understand that Solo Campaigns are the least 'efficient' in terms of behind-the-scenes work that needs to be done.

I am sorry to hear it, and would like to pick up again if that becomes a possibility for you later.
I don't like it, of course, but I understand the decision.

Maybe think of me if something opens up in Zeitgeist, too ;)
