I think I will allow that (as a talent), it's true it fits Darst well. I'd add a few modifications to prevent any abuse. Something like:
Backstab (Ex)*: A rogue can sneak attack a creature on her own if she manages to maneuver around a target and strike during her action. If a rogue moves from a square adjacent to her target and ends her movement in another square adjacent to her target she treats the square she moved from as a ally for purposes of flanking until the end of her turn. If she is considered to be flanking with the square she started from she can sneak attack the target, but does not gain the +2 to hit from flanking. In essence, she quickly moves around her opponent and slashes at him from behind, making it difficult for him to defend against her strike. This talent can only be used once per opponent. The movement used to move behind her target cannot be a charge.
I don't think you were planning on using this thing with spring attack and a spiked chain, but I'm just covering myself. Hopefully, you still like it.
Yes, it's a talent. Sorry, I've been playing Grimm recently.
Your modifications make perfect sense. Besides which, I'm not about to waste a feat on a spiked chain. I have my sights set on more reasonable ones......like more ones from the Database. :P

I was surprised, too. In fact, I was just responding to Venmirl's 'I hear crickets' post when the Postmonster struck. I refreshed, and noticed two new posts. :P

Rejoice, for your cleric has not forsaken you!
Unfortunately, my home connection is going to be down for a couple of weeks(hopefully not of course), and I can't get to the library every day. DM PC me if you want but remember to things: Kill all responsible for the raid(rage tempered with caution this time ^-^) and keep Izbahn alive.

Kortus, are you there?
If you are, don't be afraid to jump back in. Kortus has been 'guarding the rear' since I prefer not to control inactive player characters. However, I understand everyone has time consuming obligations and I make a point of not judging people, so you're welcome to come back.
P.S. That goes for Calla's player too if he's healed up :).

So are we going to recruit replacement characters for Amrunelara, and Kortus?
Not actively, at this point. If some lurker wants to join in, I might consider it but I'm not going to do a real search unless you guys really want new blood. Either Amrunelara or Kortus could hang around as an NPC since you guys could use some extra muscle.
On another note, I finally got my hands on a copy of the Advanced Player Guide so anyone who wants to make some minor modifications to their character using something from there is welcomed to do it (with my approval, of course). This also means that Venmirl now uses the new version of the judgment power. Check with me if you don't have the book Venmirl. I'm not sure he checks this thread however ... We'll see.

Well, I have took a look at your game and been lurking a while in almost every pbp discussion which are existing this moment hehe. Its really interesting as I can see
I would like to then ask chance to join, if possible? I am thinking what is needed here, took a look and was considering wizard but since already got... hm...
Applying with Ranger or Druid or basically with anything which is needed here: won´t make anything until I am wanted and everyone (especially DM) feels like extra-hand is needed

*opens pdf in search of new spells*
This also means the Burglar and Cutpurse archtypes for the Rogue are options...
EDIT:*is disappointed about the new first level cleric spells*

Sorry for not replying earlier but I've been a bit busy (and tired when I wasn't hehe). We could surely use a pair of extra hands but I don't want to 'guarantee' you a spot. I'm not too demanding but I'd like to see a sort of background or maybe a hook to link you to the party before I give you the 'official' welcome. Also, don't worry too much about what the group need, a lot of character types could fill the bill if you ask me.

Here is a background story plus need to be adapted a bit.
After reading, I would change this to be 1 summer before the original story. He left to find his real-parents / gain experience and is just recently coming back to Sandpoint, when he meets other party members suddenly outside-> and starting to weave story from that
This half-orc youngling was abandoned in front of small farm house on border of Sandpoint during night-time... The night passed slowly and the small bundle was keeping voice until it was slowly fading. The only person to live in this house was an middle-aged man, with no wife and kids and he was well known drunkard in Sandpoint. He was again in the town having fun and getting drunk.
The man got kicked out again, since he was always getting in fights during his time in town and he was well-known for his skills at brawls. Once again he tumbled back to home in dark hours, dark getting slowly brighter in horizont. When he reached his home, he saw a small bundle next to door and no voice. Upon bending down and looking more carefully, he saw a small baby, with white skin and mouth open... but he could not hear breathing.
A few second passed and then the man brains started to work. Grapping the child and running fast to nearest farm, where a newly married couple had moved in. The man was running faster than would be possible, like an animal. Upon reaching the cottage, he banged the door and yelled to people to open the door. A woman looked from window and asked what was the ruckus? Still banging and demanding to open, the door slowly started to open inwards and a figure of another person, man, appeared and was looking with careful eyes what was this.
Was it by the gods will or what, the small baby was able to survive thanks to fast reaction and help of the man and younger couple. In start he looked just like any normal human baby but when it got lighter, they noticed a small tusks and red eyes... half-orc child. Both parties were looking at child and though for a moment... and something happened to man, who had find the child. "I will take care of him" he just simple said and carefully took child with him.
Upon the years of coming, the small half-orc baby had grown bigger and upon the guidance of his "father" he had learned the necessary skills for hunting, farming... and fighting. Bare-handed and immense strenght, he occassionally could grapple and gush the air out of his dad although Algar would usually during this fight go into frenzy and foam appearing around his mouth... but his "father" had recognized this ability. He had a long time ago served as a militiant and had some fights with savage orcs. "A rager...hehe, no wonder this small bastard is getting stronger" he smiled to himself and was kind of proud of his "son" power. At least he would be able to take care of himself.
2 more years passed and his father had passed away... unknown to both, his liver had gave up due to his alcoholistic years and death fixed him during his sleep. Algar was unsure what to do but soon he remember that there was going to be a festival, Swallowtail and his dad had suggested to take him there and make use of Algars skills to earn some money and also to get him some experience. They had visited there for time to time and Algar knew some people... especially too well the towns sheriff since his father still had issues with him although he had changed his habits after starting to take care of Algar.
Packing his stuff, grapping the gloves, he left to town to see the festival... and promise to his dad he would not loose against anyone... since he had teaching of his dad along him

Yah, it's full of typos, since made the text in quite rush. Had some idea and just kept writing. Usually I don't bother to fix them due to time it would take, although I can see its importance. I am more into RPing and paying more attention to text I produce to PBP.
Concepts I treat just as a bread-and-butter, so you are correct in that. I do play in couple other games, which you can look in to see my writing style.

Alright, let's give it a shot. Welcome aboard Aventi/Algar. What class is your half-orc? I'm guessing barbarian but I'm not sure.
Create your character using these guidelines:
* You start at lvl 2 (1300 xp)
* Use 20 points (high fantasy) to purchase your ability scores.
* You get max hp at lvl 1 and average hp values for the subsequent lvls/HDs.
* Choose one trait from http://paizo.com/traits and I'll give you another one (it will probably be a 'custom' one) based on what you write as a background.
* For starting gold you get the average level 1 starting gold for your class + 600 gp.
Don't be afraid to ask any additional questions.
Oh and one more thing for KC: linky

EDIT: and here is the background. I made completely new one for him, since felt that it would be much better than using the old one
Algar grew up in Sandpoint. Most of the time, he had trouble with other kids from the town. This made it harder to approach him and because of this, it was rather difficult to get any friends, when you were beating them. Usually in the end, it was always a fight against other kids. Easily beating them down and showing who was stronger was usual way, how the fights ended. Nevertheless, they still kept coming at him and finally, they were able to get him, although older boys from Sandpoint took part. Algar finally gave up and decided to not come back village. He didn´t need this! He could run and play in forest… alone
Time passed. Algar was training with his father, who was known for his brutal fighting style with fists in Riddleport. He didn´t know why he had come to Sandpoint, but something had happened, which led to other thing… but without that, he would never had been born to this world, since Algar father met on this trip his mother. One thing led to another and little bit less than a year, a healthy boy had born.
However, her mother had died during giving birth, but his father never blamed him. He had accepted it and loved Algar but sometimes he was just sitting there and watching to the forest.
Years passed and his father had finally passed away. Nothing to loose in Sandpoint, Algar decided to try his luck somewhere and hone his skills with fists. He packed his stuff and begun travelling. Couple of years later, [dating to couple of days after attacks of goblin and news of odd things in Sandpoint], Algar decides to travel back and see what had happened so far during his absence and at least pay visit to his parents grave. Ghosts haunting him and unsure how the situation will be now again in Sandpoint long time, he looks from top of the hill the town, which once was his home…

I've reviewed Algar's stats and here are my usual corrections/comments:
* hp while raging should be 28 not 32
* Fort save bonus should be +5 (+7 while raging)
* Since you listed your other ACs while raging, might as well do it for the touch one too (Touch 12(10 while raging)).
* AC penalties apply to CMD too so it should stay at 17 while raging (+2 for the additional str and -2 to AC).
* Perception bonus in the skill section should be at +8 like in the 'senses' section.
* I didn't see any favored class bonus. Assuming you pick barbarian, you would get 2 point to put in either: hit points, skill points or rage rounds.
Got to go to my face to face game now, later.

Algar, the background is alright but I'm just a bit confused about your character's parents. Was one of them an orc? Or were they both half-orcs? Half-orcs are sterile but with magic/divine intervention/freak accident, everything is possible. As for orcs, they don't usually settle down with a human mate near a human settlement but, once again, I guess everything is possible.
I think I got my idea for integrating you into the game but we have to see how things develop.
| Reptilian |
Pardon me, but where does it say half-orcs are sterile?
My brains maybe? Alright, so no where but I always sort of assume it was that way. First, in our world, hybrids like mules usually are sterile. Second, I haven't seen any 'quarter'-orc in some published stuff. Third, and this is my weakest argument, the half-orcs numbers seem sort of low if they can fully breed amongst themselves. At the same time, the half-orc population is a probably too high for all of them to be produce of 'orc rape'. Hummm ... I would probably correct what I said earlier and say that 'most' half-orc are sterile (something like 60-70% maybe?).

See, that makes more sense to me. I don't like it when DM's don't explain why something can't be done in a backstory. I always like to hear their reasoning. ;)
| Reptilian GM |
Alright, here's my GM trait for Algar: (not overly original, but I didn't have any other idea)
Outcast (social): Due to your nature or your actions, you had to grow up just outside civilization. While you may not know court etiquette, living in the margin of society have forced you to be more independent and it has taught you a thing or two about discretion. Pick 2 skills among the following: Craft (any), Disguise, Perception, Stealth and Survival. You gain a +1 trait bonus on those 2 skills.
The basic idea is that you and your father lived pretty close to Sandpoint but not in the the town proper.

I don't see what the fuss is over this.
You can't be serious? Typical.
1) Your tall.
2) You handsome(15 Charisma)
3) Look healthy(14 Constitution)
4) Your a wizard. It's not like most of those don't end up at least well off as merchants.
You'd understand if you were a sorcerer...
