Description:

Human Male, 24 years old, 5'9",152 lb., Reddish-Blonde hair, Dark brown eyes, clean shaven.

This handsome looking young man has the build and mannerisms of a Chelaxian noble, with rugged features, and long reddish blonde hair which he keeps tied back in a ponytail. His dark brown eyes sparkle with intelligence and good humor, but at times they get a brooding, intense quality which can leave the casual acquaintance uncomfortable.

He keeps himself clean shaven at all times, going so far as to carry a razor with him at all times.

He dresses conservatively in sturdy, high quality clothing, and prefers the finer things in life, in both food and drink, this, along with his sedentary studies, has led to him being somewhat overweight.

Background:
Izbahn grew up in the city of Galduria, the 4th of 7 children, 1 older brother, 2 older sisters, and 3 younger siblings. Growing up was difficult for him since there were questions about his birth, rumors floated around that he was not the true son of his father, and his true father was a Varisian trader. However he did look like his father, somewhat, and most of these rumors were dismissed out of hand.

However, not long after his birth, the family fortunes suffered from some bad investments, and also some of the shipments were lost due to banditry and other natural occurrences. There seemed no logical explanation.

Debts started piling up, and so in order to handle some of the debts, his father "sold" him to one of the upcoming wizard schools. Apparently this school had been keeping an eye on Izbahn and offered to take on some of the debts of the family business in exchange for Izbahn. Seeing the loan sharks gathering at his doorstep, it was not a difficult decision.

So, without his consent, he was given over to the school for his training. To the surprise of Izbahn, he proved quite adept in the magical arts. He started the training when he was 14 years, and the 10 year period is ending...

Now a free man, he has journeyed to Sandpoint for a much needed break from his studies. The headmaster promised to answer a single question for him once he has gained some experience...

After helping to repel the initial goblin invasion on Sandpoint, he met Naomi and after some time passed, could no longer deny his feelings for the petite woman...

Campaign Notes:
There are five major goblin tribes in the region. The closest to Sandpoint are the Birdcruncher goblins that live in caves along the western edge of the Devil's Platter, although traditionally these goblins are the least aggressive of the five. To the south are the Licktoad goblins of the Brinestump Marsh, pests that are excellent swimmers. East are the Seven Tooth goblins of Shank's Wood, goblins who've secured a place for themselves by raiding Sandpoint's junkyard and rebuilding the stolen refuse into armor and weapons. From what I saw of him, I think the goblin Belor released to your care belongs to this tribe. I don't really know what else I can tell you about him except that his name, Darst, mean 'companion' or something like 'raiding buddy' in the Goblin tongue. But back to the two remaining tribes. The Mosswood, some distance to the east, is home the justly named Mosswood goblins, likely the largest tribe but one traditionally held back by feuding families within their own ranks. And finally, there are the Thistletop goblins, who live just off the Nettlewood coast atop a small rocky island that some say holds a passing resemblance to a decapitated head. So there you have the 5 local goblin tribes. Few goblins live long lives given their nature but the ones that do often achieve some measure of notoriety. I could tell you about these goblins 'veterans', at least the ones I know about. Some of them might have had something to do with the raid.

I don't think the current chieftain of the Thistletop, a goblin named 'Ripnugget', has the influence or the courage to unite all the tribes. The Mosswood are lead by 'Big Gugmut', a huge goblin. The goblins say his father was a wild boar." Shalelu chuckles at this. "In any case, that one is just a brute, I don't think he has the brains to pull this off. Koruvus is the name of the Seven Tooth tribe's champion but I haven't heard much of him lately. Something must have happened to him; either one of his rival got him or he stumbled on something dangerous. The region has it share of old and deadly ruins. Lastly, there's a notorious Licktoad goblin by the name of Vorka but it isn't her style to lead other goblins. She's a loner and likes to ... eat her own kind." The elf thinks for a few more seconds. "There another goblin, well goblinoid, of note in the region. It's my old nemesis, the bugbear hunter Bruthazmus. Like most bugbears, he usually hunts alone but I know he visits the five tribes to trade the things he steals from his victims. He has a particular hatred of elves, and we have fought on several occasions. Those fights always ended with a draw but I vow he's gonna fall the next time we meet." There's some bitterness and hatred in her eyes when she speaks of the bugbear.

In the central alcove, under a skylight, there is a most peculiar item. A richly dressed man is propped up on a chair and is completely encased in thick runny sheets of greenish yellow hardened glass. Izbahn isn't sure what disturbs him the most: all the human and goblin blood around him or the look of shock and horror on the man's face. It's hard to make out details through the blurry glass but the man seems middle-aged and has traits typical of people originating from the Tian Xia continent.

Journal:
The small, leather-bound booklet contains about two dozen parchment pages, most of which are filled with maps of Sandpoint or erotic drawings of a young beautiful woman with pale, possibly white hair. The maps each depict different attack plans on Sandpoint. The first set shows the attack plans for a group of forty goblins. One of these is circled and Izbahn can recognize the directions from which the goblins attacked during the raid a few days ago. Below this map, something is scribed:

Quote:
The raid went about as planned. Few of my Thistletop goblins perished, and we were able to secure Tobyn’s casket with ease while the rubes were distracted by the rest. I can’t wait until the real raid. This town deserves a burning, that’s for sure.

Over the next several pages, an assault on Sandpoint by a force of what appears to be two hundred goblins is illustrated. None of these are circled and many are scratched out as if they’ve been rejected. Izbahn reads some more text on the page after the last of these maps.

Quote:
Ripnugget seems to favor the overwhelming land approach, but I don’t think it’s the best plan. We should get the quasit’s aid. Send her freaks up from below via the smuggling tunnel in my father’s Glassworks, and then invade from the river and from the Glassworks in smaller but more focused strikes. The rest except Bruthazmus agree, and I’m pretty sure the bugbear’s just being contrary to annoy me. My love’s too distracted with the lower chambers to make a decision. She says that once Malfeshnekor’s released and under her command, we won’t need to worry about being subtle. I hope she’s right.

The woman depicted in the erotic drawing seems tall and exceedingly beautiful. Some would say her feature almost look angelic. Izbahn reads what was written just before the last of these drawings, one that depicts her with demonic hands, bat wings, horns, a forked tail, and fangs.

Quote:
My love seems bent on going through with it—nothing I can say convinces her of her beauty. She remains obsessed with removing what she calls her ‘celestial taint’ and replacing it with her Mother’s grace. Burning her father’s remains at the Thistletop shrine seems to have started the transformation, but I can’t say her new hand is pleasing to me. Hopefully when she offers Sandpoint to Lamashtu’s fi res, her new body won’t be as hideous. Maybe I’ll luck out. Succubi are demons too, aren’t they?

You can see a few examples of what the drawings might look like. You might need to log in to deviantart to see the pictures. Warning! NSFW! Boobies! Etc!
