The minotaur takes a look at the bones the halfling is holding, "Erm, those are human remains, as far as I can tell. Did you find them down here? Why are you carrying them around with you? I do not think the halfling's diet extended to these extremes, do they?"
"Yeah, I found them near the entrance of the maze in some Morlock garbageheaps. I suspect these are the remains of people that have been abducted from the Ivy district in the last few months. Maybe this is what happened to you too!"
"We've got one of the morlocks as a prisoner, but we don't speak Morlock, do you? He might be able to confess to the crime and we'll be able to bring some peace to the family of those abducted persons. I'm taking the remains with me so they can have a proper burial."
"And although most halflings eat meat, I'm a vegetarian and I eat mostly goodberries. Do you want one? Garra likes them as well!"

The minotaur nods, "Perhaps, I do not know. As I said, I have no memory of how I was brought here. Who was it that sent you, and who are you?"
"We've got one of the morlocks as a prisoner, but we don't speak Morlock, do you?"
Nuar shakes his head, "I do not think so, although they mostly just screamed at me incoherently as they were viciously beating me. I only speak the language of minotaurs and Taldan, I am afraid.
"And although most halflings eat meat, I'm a vegetarian and I eat mostly goodberries. Do you want one? Garra likes them as well!"
Nuar thanks Aquila for the berry, "Thank you, it is quite good. It reminds me of a berry found only high in the mountains here."

Taking 10 on spellcraft gives me a 20.
"Finally something of use in this gods forsaken maze." Daxter says as he puts them into his pack. He picks up the hourglass to examine it further.
"Mr. Nuar, is it? Do you have any idea what this does?" Daxter asks referring to said hourglass.

"Who was it that sent you, and who are you?"
"We're pathfinders and we were send here by Grandmaster Torch. He knew that you were in danger."
"Our names are Garra, Daxter, Markus, Takuma, Farouq, Montesquieu and Aquila" pointing everyone out.

When we get back to the surface Aquila will try and locate someone that can help him with either identifying the remains (locating family of the missing persons?) or someone that can communicate with the morlock (a sage or linguistics expert?). Quite willing to pay for assistance...

Aquila will use his wand of cure light wounds to try and restore consciousness to the minotaur.
I cured the minotaur for 9 points already (see here), does he require more healing or is he good enough to travel?

"Mr. Nuar, is it? Do you have any idea what this does?" Daxter asks referring to said hourglass.
The hourglass is actually built into the strange mess of cables and panels in the ceiling, and needs to be disconnected first. It looks like that could be accomplished by someone with a delicate touch, as it looks quite fragile.

Oops, I forgot that you had healed him. Yes, he is good to travel.
| GM BrOp - PFS |
-Sure thing, Akila.
The respect of that halfling was growing continually with each of his action.
Takuma gets near the elf.
-Comrades, please, step back.
Attack: 1d20+5
Damage: 1d10+6
Despite Takuma's mighty blow, the huge bronze chains holding the body of Abysiel are barely chipped. (He did not even beat the hardness)

Noted. We can deal with this at the end of this adventure, once everyone else is "released".
Aquila Audax

"Ah yes, Grandmaster Torch, he is a good friend of mine. I wonder how he knew that I was here?"
"Well, he's an information broker, so I guess he has lots of different ways to acquire information. I think someone saw you go down and told him?"
"Do you by any chance suffer from somnambulism, also called sleepwalking by people not trained in the arts of healing, that would explain a lot!"

"Anyone else want to try?"
"Daxter, do you have the spell acid splash? That might burn through the chains!"

"As usual, this situation requires magic to solve the problem. Though personally, I think the elf should stay chained. But if you all wish to free this lunatic."
Daxter will cast acid splash until the chains are dissolved.| GM BrOp - PFS |
Farouq will have a good look at the hourglass.
Judging from Daxter's detect magic spell, the hourglass is a significant magical artifact, and should be taken back to the Grand Lodge for study.

It takes a while, but eventually Daxter is able to burn through the dozens of chains binding Abysiel to the contraption hanging from the ceiling. The elf does not wake up during this entire procedure.
Markus 'Earthquake' Kalepo

Markus climbs back down as the others go to work unbinding the elf and examining the mechanisms.
"We should get moving", he says. "I think I've seen all I want to see of the Tangle", the shaonti concludes.
If Nuar needs a hand Markus will provide a shoulder to lean on during the trip outside.

I'll take the elf out of here. We should get moving.
"Let's take Abysiel to the Kyonin Embassy. They might know what to do with him."

Can we disconnect the hourglass ourselves or do we need to hire some outside help?

I should have realized this before. Disconnecting the hourglass requires a DC 15 Disable Device check, and none of you have ranks in it; therefore none of you can do it since it is a "Trained Only" skill. Unless someone has a brilliant idea, that's not going to happen.

We're below Absalom, the biggest city in the world. We could just go and get a locksmith.

I'm sorry, I must be brain dead this evening. Removing the hourglass can be done with 30 min of work. Accomplishing the Osirion faction mission (which involves the hourglass) is the one that takes a Disable Device check. My apologies.

Ok, then it won't be Aquila hiring the locksmith! ;-)
Aquila will remove the hourglass.

Aquila will remove the hourglass.
Aquila is surprised how many arcane connections there are to the hourglass. After about a half hour of work, he holds the device in his hands. It weighs about two pounds and seems to be incredibly old. The frame seems to be milled from white jade and quarts, while the sand inside seems to be ... well, just very fine, clean sand. Without further study, however, there is little else the halfling can learn about it.

"Very nice, but a little heavy for a small person like myself. Anyone else want to take it to the pathfinder lodge?"
Farouq
|
"Oh I will do it," Farouq replies. "Thank you Aquila. You might wanna get more training, you would make a good locksmith." After helping with all the tasks at hand he looks around, "so, are we done here? I hope my map brings up back home, or probably our good friend here," and gives a friendly nod towards the minotaur.

In the way out, I'll cut a morlocks head to take it with me.

With Nuar's help, you are able to navigate out of the maze with relative ease, although the unnatural geometry of Delirium's Tangle stumps even the minotaur a few times. The morlocks seem to have moved on to greener underground pastures, as you encounter none on your journey to the surface.
Your first stop is to deposit the Taurean ambassador back at his home. He is very grateful for all the assistance you have given him, and promises to contact the Pathfinder Society on your behalf as soon as he has convalesced. You know that Spiritskin is only a minor functionary in the Byzantine bureaucracy of Absalom, and he will therefore have little clout, but hey, every little bit counts.
Venture-captain Dreng is very happy when you present him with the magical hourglass, and congratulates you on a job well done!
Anyone else have any business?
