Talori Lyons
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Although she is slow to react, once she has the chance Talori begins to glow red. A status message appears above her head: Talori Lyons has entered Lion Rage!
Then, the legs in her muscles seem to tighten, preparing to leap. Talori Lyons has entered Leaping Dragon Stance!
Then she charges at Zero, leaping high up into the air.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (8) + 20 = 28
Attack: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25
Damage (Sword w/ Power Attack and Punishing Blow): 2d8 + 12 ⇒ (4, 5) + 12 = 21
Damage (Claw at the Moon): 2d6 ⇒ (6, 5) = 11
Second Attack: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20
Damage (Sword w/ Power Attack): 2d8 + 11 ⇒ (4, 5) + 11 = 20
Since Zero has an AC of 21, he barely dodges the second one, and takes 32 damage (nonlethal, of course, since this is a duel).

Hornfell turns to look at the half-elf that spoke to him. He gives her a friendly smile and says, "I'll gladly accept your invitation. I may be a solo player, but making friends does have its merits. My name is Hornfell, and may I ask what quest you are inviting me to, Miss...?
"Aurora Blackrose. Your not the only solo player, but it's good to have a partner to watch your back at times."
A human swordsman, 5'9" or so, with long black hair, pale skin and big brown eyes (almost too big), dressed with a Mithral Shirt and carrying a Katana approaches them, and in a delicate voice greets them:
"Hello, Shadow is the name, and I hear you are off into a quest. I am new in the game an want to give it a test run. I hope I can join you."Disguise Check: 1d20 + 7 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 7 - 4 = 7
Perception DC 7 to realize it is a female elf, disguised as a human male.
"I see master Hornfell is a man of honor, and miss Aurora knows something of the ninja "arts". I think we can make a good team. I myself have trained in the Ninjitsu way, and in alchemy, too."
Aurora Blackrose
"Oh, So you know of me, Miss Shadow.
You also likely know that, I've been round since Alpha
And am one of the twelve exclusive character models for Ultimate backer level during it's Kickstarter Campaign."
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
"I can see some of the rumours were true in that you're an Elven woman character who likes to pass for a Human Male character.
And you've been around since the back half of Alpha with a ninja themed character."
"Shadow"
|
Shadow laughs a little.
"Well, there are some players that can't leave a woman be. As soon as they figure out you are female, they got crazy, and can't leave you alone. But I guess I don't need to tell you about it."
Your "Render" URL don't work, I think it miss the http://
Aurora Blackrose
"Oh, I know all about that and some of them can be real PIGS.
I was hoping for one of the more slender exclusive models, but it was based on a lottery system and got the bustiest female model from the lot."
Just noticed the http:// missing before you edited.
And I can make other PC's a rendering.
Khode
The town was passing strange, there was no denying it.
Khode began to notice people running , rarely walking - they passed him at speed, without acknowledging his presence. As if on important errands and then completely disappearing.
Occasionally they would stand right in front of each other, seemingly as if in conversation but no words flowed between them. Stranger still, small pets of all kinds - mammals, crustaceans, reptiles, insects, arachnids - would materialise out of nowhere and trail their hurrying owners.
Once Khode was sure he saw his own face on another tiefling, right down to the broken horn, though dressed markedly different and minus his...signature eyepatch.
Another thing... The more he thought about it, the more he couldn't remember who his parents were, or where he was raised.
He shook such introspection to the wind. Surely there were beasts to slay and riches to be won. He was Khode, and Khode would conquer all...
"Shadow"
|
"Well, all of the models look like that, more or less. Going back to my preference for Disguises. So, can I join your quest?"
Aurora Blackrose
"Not all the female character models are busty, one of the exclusives was quite slender, and I don't mind if you join."
Is it my work; yes and no. The textures and parts are pre-made, I just morph the body, put the parts (hair, clothes, props) on, pose the model and finally render.

"Of course! Let's get this show on the road!"
GM_Rorek
As you make your way to the location on the map you can easily here the commotion that comes from large groups of goblins. In an open area within an ring of trees the goblins have set up a "town" of makeshift scrap and tarps. From what you see you can make out about 15-25 goblins shambling around the area. Most are eating or fighting over food. Some are "standing watch" but are mostly having a laugh at some unfortune bug or sleeping. You do notice one building that seemed better put together, more scrap than tarp near the center of the goblin town.
"Shadow"

Shadow squints while trying to cover her eyes...
"Too much light, I am used to live in darkness."
She draws her Shortbow and looks for a tree or tarp where she can get up, and snipe the goblins from there out of their reach, ideally in the middle of the camp and gaining flanking with her new companions.
Perception Roll (-1 because of bright light) : 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Argus Ironeye
Alright so lets just use the text function on the Rolld20 page to make stand ins for character icons that we can move for now. Pick a bright color and write down you characters name. Cyra,we need you to roll an imitative check if you plan to join us. If not then Zero is first, followed by me and then Talori.
"Huh. did we lag?" Argus strikes one fist against a large tree and watches as the leaves flutter down
"Looks like the frame rates ok, are we doing this or not?"
The monk stands for a moment and then everyone is blurring into motion at once "Ah, *$%#."
Eira
I did tied with Zero. Posting now.
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
Insightful Strike: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Crit?: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
Crit Damage: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20
Eira rushes towards Talori and with a neat flourish Enigma a blur buries into her flesh twice leaving two neat puncture wounds.
Total Damage: 34
Talori Lyons
Since when does a rapier crit deal 1d20? And the dice bot hates me and wants to kill me 0.0 Gave me horrible rolls, then gave you superpowers. Maybe it doesn't like my name? And, also, I'm targeting Eira instead. That hurt. Anyways, it is 2d6, not 1d20.
"Zero"
Insightful strike uses uses a concentration check instead of normal damage
Move Action: Favored Target Talori and Argus
Swift Action: Sudden Leap
Standard Action: Wolf Fang Strike
Sudden Leap: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
Damage: 2d8 + 2d6 + 22 ⇒ (7, 5) + (2, 2) + 22 = 38
As soon as Eira attacks Zero explodes into action. A targeting symbol appears over both Talori and Argus as he moves towards Talori flanking with Eira. Both swords seem to move on their own accord as he slashes into her.
Talori Lyons
Annnnd that's why it sucks to have the lowest Dex in a PvP match :p Also going back to my original target.
Argus Ironeye
I find it dodgy reasoning that a skill check which replaces the damage roll on an attack can benefit from the crit of a weapon the damage of which it just replaces. I'll poke around but for now I'm going to roll with it.
Alright, I can work with people ignoring me. Argus states with a shrug.
Targeting Zero
Perfect strike: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 311d8 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Perfect strike: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Second shot: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 181d8 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Activate sudden leap after attacking
LEAP!: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (11) + 23 = 34
Argus calmly pulls two arrows from his quiver and launches them toward Zero, one strikes one misses. He then kicks back with one leg launching into the forest.
Talori Lyons
Following some build changes to make my character a bit more survivable, I need to reroll my everything.
Talori staggers back as both attacks hit her. Dang. They're good. As long as they're tag-teaming me, there's no way I'll survive. Oh well. Might as well go for broke and hit Zero, at least to make an impression.
A red aura flickers around Talori as the muscles in her legs bunch up. Suddenly, she lets out a ferocious battlecry and leaps five and a half feet in the air before impaling Zero with Goldclaw and Redfang.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35
Acro Check: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (5) + 17 = 22
Claw Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5
Sword Damage: 2d8 + 11 ⇒ (4, 1) + 11 = 16
Attack 2: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25
Damage: 2d8 + 11 ⇒ (6, 6) + 11 = 23
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33
Crit Damage: 2d8 + 11 ⇒ (7, 1) + 11 = 19
That oughta rip him a good one, Talori thinks, smirking.
I'm using same actions as before. Soooo, that is 63 damage at you, Zero once it is my turn.
"Shadow"
|
I'll imagine there is nothing in the goblin camp to climb unto.
"What about if I climb the trees and shoot from there? You can have them come, and if they pass me I will be able to Flank them. "
Eira
I find it dodgy reasoning that a skill check which replaces the damage roll on an attack can benefit from the crit of a weapon the damage of which it just replaces. I'll poke around but for now I'm going to roll with it.
We were wondering about that...it doesn't mention why happens on a crit so we just assumed it worked for now if it doesn't that's fine too.
Argus Ironeye
We are going to become poor quickly unless the out of combat regeneration is faster or the potions are significantly cheaper or we wait for several hours between fights. CLW potions cost 50gp a pop, to heal Talori to full from where she is right now would take eight of them. and thats the cheapest option, CMW costs 300 for 20pnts healing, CSW costs 750gp for 30.
GM_Rorek
check the game info. I will be giving everyone regen = there HD+con SCORE. NOT modifier. Either every hour, or ten minutes. If you guys want a grittier game I will make it per hour. a more game like game, every 10 mins. Also considering a in combat regen. (Though at a greatly reduced rate, ofc). I could also bump potions up to 20/30/40/50. But healing is meant to be hard to come by quickly :p
Eira
Standard: Sapphire Nightmare Blade
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + (6) + 4 = 11
Eira has a moment of doubt as a shimmer appears over Zero and he falls to a knee and a message pops up showing He was removed from the match. She refocuses her attack taking a bit more defensive postition.
Argus Ironeye
SAO hard mode: everything is ruined forever!
Also: standard, shadow jaunt, move(balance) swift Ki point for +4 ac
And yes I am acting the part of monkey as befitting my monk combat style.
"Mmmm... now this looks like a cat fight if I ever saw one. Heavily wounded berserker verse a fresh duelist" with a flicker of motion the heavy set dwarf takes an of balanced one footed stance before softly speaking Shadow Jaunt falling through the ground he occupied and appearing 50 feet above high in the tree he was just standing under. He rights himself on a branch before looking back at the on going fight and laughing
"Is that all you've got Lyons? I though you were good at this stuff. I bet its quite different when you aren't in a flat gravel tournament pit isn't it?"
GM_Rorek
OK. The fights will be rough anyway jaha. As an aside, how does fast regen1/10 con score sound for combats? Doubling per so many levels. (So say, right now most would have fast healing 1-2 . Or 3-4 if we double it.) OR. a more mathmatical way completly would be to have a %of HP. But the issuses with that is figuring a way to work it in with combat without making it to powerful. Just spitballing ATM to get ideas on paper so to speak. Oyi. I do like this though. The fighting so far has given me a good thing to go by. Actually. I could just give you fast healing straight up and not worry about in/out of combat.
Talori Lyons
Talori was wounded, and unless she healed quick, she was going down. And no way was she having that. So, Talori decides to Erebus with the opportunity posed by it, and jumps far, far, FAR away, hoping that Eira would miss somehow.
Acrobatics (Avoiding AoO): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23
Acrobatics (Sudden Leap): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20
[ooc]This is a last ditch gambit. If you want to end the fight quickly, you can. However, if you want to make it more dramatic, go right ahead.
Eira
AoO: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14:(
As Talori jumps away Enigma cuts across her leaving another minor gash. Eira follows attempting to finish off the dangerous warrior only to miss with her latest attack.
Talori Lyons
As Talori touches down, she pulls out a few major healing crystals. A blue stream of magic extends from each of them and and flows into the Titan Mauler, healing her wounds. Talori simply looks grim. She barely finished off the crystals when the duelist makes her next move...
You almost got me. I was down to 7 hp. But, now, bwahahaha. 67! Also, I believe my Claw at the Moon is now ready to use again.
Eira
Standard Action to use a potion or are you using one when you jumped away and one after my attack?
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
Insightful Strike: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
Eira mentally curses as she sees Talori use the healing crystals just as she arrives. She smiles as Enigma connects again a smile coming to her lips as she continues the fight. She was enjoying herself.
Talori Lyons
I'll post flavor after I'm done rolling.
Attack: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16
Damage: 2d8 + 11 ⇒ (8, 2) + 11 = 21
Talori curses as Eira's rapier bites into her flank. No matter. Talori strikes back at Eira, landing a solid hit.
