Despite the team chomping at the bit to continue, Egil suddenly holds them back. He recognizes the creature before them for what it is, and tosses a sling bullet at it to prove it to the others. When the bullet hits, the carpet of fungi rears up to reveal the disgusting ooze of refuse that it truly was.

Skai steps forward and lobs the vial of liquid fire. Amazingly it hits, coating the creature in fire. Unfortunately, it does not seem to have any effect on the creature as it quickly burns out.
The fungoid mass heaves and pitches, reacting to the clear presence of food.. but stays where it is.

Theon moves into position, and despite ringing off of one wall, the glaive easily sinks into the mass of fungus and slime.
Vlazis lends some godly aid to Theon for his next attack, while Zarzuket tosses in a crossbow bolt. It doesn't do much, but it does strike the creature.

Theon lets out a thankful sigh as the shuddering mass of mold seemingly cannot reach him! He strikes out with Dawnbreaker again, cutting deep into the slime!

With one last mighty blow, Theon destroys the slime that is blocking the passage! The team hurries through the caverns, Janiras voice becoming clearer and more distinct as you move closer. Soon, the pure white radiance of star and moon light filters in through a cave mouth in front of you. As you rush out, you can see the battle raging below you between a very tired looking Janira, and an equally harassed Minotaur.
The silvery moonlight of the surface world above provides a welcome reprieve from the blue and green fungus of the caverns below, and glimmering star light illuminates a stream whose water is hastened by runoff from a recent storm further up the mountains. A ledge to the west rises up to the nearby forest canopy.
Shaded green areas are difficult terrain and provide concealment. The stream is about 10 feet wide and 5 feet deep in this area, and the water moves downstream from east to west at 30 feet per round. Treat this as rough water, which requires a DC 15 Swim check to navigate. A Large creature can walk through the water as though it were difficult terrain with a successful DC 12 Strength check. On a failed Strength check, such a creature is checked and unable to move farther that turn. A 3-foot-diameter tree truck spans the width of the river, creating an impromptu bridge. The trunk is slippery from the splashing water, and crossing it at half speed requires a successful DC 7 Acrobatics check, during which time the creature is treated as flatfooted for moving on a narrow surface. If the creature fails this check, it falls into the water unless it succeeds at a DC 13 Reflex save, in which case it lands prone on the trunk instead.

Ah, the joys of a +0 BAB class. I always forget I can't draw a weapon as part of my move action.
Egil breathes in the fresh air as they emerge from the cave. Seeing Janira fighting the minotaur below in the moonlight, he bellows a challenge across the clearing.
"Finally! A foe worthy of a legendary battle!" He draws his axe and prepares to engage.
Move action to draw weapon, standard action to Inspired Rage (+2 Str/Con; +1 Will) for anyone that wants it.

Welcome back, Loryndahl! I was starting to get worried. I am back myself.. turns out a nasty virus managed to get through my firewall and virus protection. Everything is good now.
Vlazis: Considering the odd initiative setup here, if you would like to post your action with the rest of the group or in a spoiler, go ahead and do so and I will just work it in at the right time.
Egil starts up a battle song while drawing his ax, and the rest of the team races towards the beleaguered halfling!
Meanwhile, the minotaur roars in defiance of the newcomers, and steps forward, looking to end this pesky nuisance before help can arrive!

Loryndahl makes it across the bridge, then casts Divine Favor upon herself.
Skai and Egil make it to the log, while Theon just swims across the stream.
Ignoring Egils challenges, the minotaur remains focused on little Janira. He lands one solid blow on her, causing her to cry out in pain, stumbling over the weight of the blow.

Theon moves tactically down the brush to avoid presenting himself as a target, placing himself directly between the minotaur and Janira. He slashes down hard upon the rampaging creature with Dawnbreaker! "Run Janira, get to safety!"

Vlazis: As much as I thought I knew that spell, I cannot find a ruling going either way on this. With that in mind, we will go with your interpretation.
Vlazis lends aid to Loryndahl, while Skai almost dances over the log bridge. Zarzuket takes a few steps forward before casting a spell on the minotaurs ax. Despite the weapon suddenly becoming slippery, the beast maintains its hold.
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Loryndahl flicks out her whip, slashing a deep line across the bovine torso. Theon steps in to protect the wounded and weary halfling, stabbing Dawnbreaker deep into the creatures shoulder!
Meanwhile, Egil makes it across the bridge and prepares to throw himself into the fight.
The minotaur decides against trying to keep hold of his slick weapon and tosses it to the side with a bellow of challenge. He steps in on Theon, lowering his horns and trying to gore the man. Luckily, the horns just barely glance off of his armor.

Janira steps back under the cover of Theon, dropping her whip and drawing her crossbow to load it while keeping up her oration.
