If Sorrin is not going to attack, then Dinetta will delay until next round so that she gets a full attack. No way she will attack once and let these guys surround her.

Sorrin the Wayward |

I was waiting on the enforcers, did I miss their action in Initiative order? Apologies, if I did! Is Astrianna already providing a flanking partner? And, I can't tell the best place to jump... Right between them?! I don't know if there is space to the left of them... Baldwin, help.

baldwin the merciful |

I tried to tinker with the map tokens and grid size and can't get this one to work out scale wise. Let me try one other thing for the scale, if that doesn't work so be it we will just play it out.
Sorrin as far as areas to jump -D:5 and the square Dinetta is standing in are the only two on the dock edge that do not have crates/barrels. the crates/barrels are 7-10 feet high, this is what Dinetta had to climb over. The rest of the dock is pretty open.

baldwin the merciful |

RD 2: Enforcers
The enforcer closest to Astri strikes out at her,
claw 1: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28;damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
He only uses one claw since he is hold the jawbone in one hand.
bite: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28;damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
The second enforcer on the dock is scanning the area for any approaching threats.
----
The enforcers on the second dock and those on the pier light the whale oil. As the oil ignites the crowd beings to grow uneasy and panick.

![]() |

Seeing the enforcers strike out at Astri, Dinetta speaks a prayer and then stabs out with both her mithral blades.
Both blades are mithral, so they should count as silver for DR. The rapier is magic, the dagger is not.
Blessing <-- +2 attack, AC, reflex
AC 28
Attack-rapier: 1d20 + 14 - 2 + 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 14 - 2 + 2 + 1 + 2 = 26 <-- -2 TWF, +2 flanking, +1 haste, +2 blessing of fervor

Those are some seriously crappy rolls, damage is ok if anything hit.

Sorrin the Wayward |

Sorrin leaps like some fish breaking the surface... his eyes wide as he sees sharks beneath him.
He tries to navigate between the two behemoths and emerge on the other side.
Acrobatics, haste, expert leaper: 1d20 + 15 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 15 + 12 = 46
I'm hoping that there is a path between the two enforcers... If it's a clear shot, he tries to jump as far as possible, if not hell land and advance on land. If it's one straight jump, he's 11ft high at mid arc.

Dinetta seems to have been moved quite a bit. She was attacking the one between her and Astri, when I was mentioning Sorrin, I thought he was still at the top of the page and would charge that first enforcer. She should be at -I/5 before this move.
Dinetta will 5 foot step to -J/4 an then full attack the top enforcer, she should have flanking from Astri I believe. <-- Dinetta goes before Astri in the init.

baldwin the merciful |

Dinetta you initially were between the crates before I resized the token. After the resizing, I put you at the closest enemy to your position between the crates. It also changed some of the map coordinates.
I don't think you were in Astri's haste range either when she cast it, you were sneaking ahead.
I don't like reconning actions either. It gets too confusing and slows things up. This is also why I don't use the readied action while gaming on line. Way too much to track for DMs over multiple days. There's already enough work for the DM to track.

baldwin the merciful |

So there is no confusion. This is the map at the top of RD 3. Dinetta where do you want to move based on this map? Do not attack again, I will use your last roll.
Everyone remember these creatures are large and have reach.
*Astri I know you stepped back 5-ft and that will be reflected on the next map.

![]() |

I am not trying to retcon anything. Dinetta was trying to get into a position where she could use her sneak damage. This was why she moved opposite Astri, to -I/5 (initially I also at the time I posted expected Sorrin to move opposite her, (not realizing that he had moved to a different pier), to give him flanking as well). This would have allowed her to get flanking on the enforcer to the north. She moved back there once she realized that there was no way to get behind Jalang. Without flanking, Dinetta is pretty much useless in a battle. She also has the Gang Up feat, but this requires 3 attackers and so far we, with only 4 players, seem to have never had 3 attacker, thus, I have been attempting to use positioning to get the flanking. This was why she had moved back to -I/5. If she cannot get any flanking, then she would still be hiding, trying to get into a good position, such as -G/3 or -I/2 where she can get sneak damage next round, hopefully, with Sorrin.
Based on where she was supposed to be, -I/5, she should have been able to make a 5' step and get flanking from Astri before Astri 5' stepped back to cast. This would have been to -J/4 as I posted.

Astrianna Sparacello |

Just an fyi, Astri hasn't had out a melee weapon to threaten with for flanking/sneak attack purposes.
Oops forgot about the reach or I would have had her cast defensively. Oh well.

Chell Silves |

Round 3
Active Effects:
Haste: +1 AC, +1 ref, +30 speed, one extra attack.
Blessing of Fervor: Gain a +2 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves.
Inspire Courage: +2 attack, +2 damage
AC 25
Against shorter enemies, Chell would warn Astrianna to duck for what was about to happen. But her enemy was so much taller that its upper torso made a large target. She holds up her holy symbol which begins to glow brighter and brighter. By the time it saw the glow it was too late. A beam if sunlight blasts it in the face and blisters the exposed skin.
Touch Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 8 + 2 = 24
Searing Light: 4d8 ⇒ (7, 8, 3, 8) = 26

Sorrin the Wayward |

Sorrin can try to get into position, just had to get over...
Other pier was a killer move to cut out some difficult terrain and avoid enforcers as Sorrin approached Jalang. Didn't pan out, sorry!
I had a character in over of Baldwin's games, CoT. Same situation, Knife Master Rogue 13. 1d4+7d8 sneak or... 1d4. LOL. I painfully understand.

RD 3: Jalang
The raging hybrid at the end of the pier comes forth and uses his reach to attack Sorrin with his greatsword, there is swooshing chill in the air as weapon arcs down.
greatsword, IC: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (5) + 23 = 28;damage: 2d6 + 14 ⇒ (3, 5) + 14 = 22;cold: 1d6 ⇒ 2
I'm not sure sure what your AC is right now, I know you do receive +1 from the haste you were in the range when cast.

baldwin the merciful |

There is a splash into the water from the far dock as one of the hyrids jumps into the water and begins to swim towards the battle. One other hybrid converges from the pier batting townfolks away as it approaches. A cry for help comes from the water as a townie shoved into the drink.
The hybrid that was facing sorrin shifts 5 feet when he sees his comrade go down from the backside attack, he attacks Dinetta.
WS shark:
claw 1: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12;damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
claw 2: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14;damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
bite: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15;damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
The last wereshark moves and takes a single attack on Dinetta using his reach,
claw 1: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27;damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
*You don't have haste so does the 27 hit you?
*Sorrin you are up.

Chell Silves |

Even with the reduced scale, Blessing of Fervor Should have hit everyone. So depending on their choices, both Dinetta and Sorrin should have +2 to AC from that. I know Dinetta does because its in her attack but I don't know if Sorrin made a choice.

baldwin the merciful |

Skin of his teeth. Barkskin +2, Haste +1, Blessing of Fervor +2... AC 29. AC 33 vs. AoO due to movement, +4 Mobility.
Blessing of fevor does not stack with haste.
With this blessing, you call your allies to move forth and empower them to conquer and become victorious. Each round for the duration of this spell, each of your allies can choose one of the following bonuses for that round at the beginning of its turn (their choice).
Increase its speed by 30 feet.
Stand up as a swift action without provoking an attack of opportunity.
Make one extra attack as part of a full attack action, using its highest base attack bonus.
Gain a +2 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves.
Cast a single spell of 2nd level or lower as if it were an enlarged, extended, silent, or still spell.
These effects are not cumulative with similar effects, such as those provided by haste or a speed weapon, nor do they actually grant an extra action, so you can't use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round. Blessing of fervor does not stack with haste.

Sorrin the Wayward |

AC is 28, then. That guy hits with a 5? Does he get any negatives to hit like power attack or anything?
Sorrin cries out on pain as the greatsword's icy blade bites.
Stepping (towards left, nimble moves) to flank with Dinetta...
He tries to eliminate one behemoth.

baldwin the merciful |

Yes, 23.
I actually misapplied his damage bonus it's +19, not +14 while raging in hybrid form and PA. I also did not take the +2 powerful blow damage for a single att.
This is the first attack you made on this barbarian wereshark. You previously hit the other wereshark. This guy did not move up until his turn. You did hit him for 54 this round.
EDIT:
I just noticed that you actually stepped and attacked the original wereshark. That one does have 68 HP of damage and it is still standing but bloodied.
