Also, as everyone was a caster, Gerard was not built with Use Magic Device in mind. Maybe Phem will rub up... I mean off on him. Is one a prerequisite of the other logistically speaking?

Now that we are in town, we will probably be able to get Lesser Restores from our allies. Remember the wand gives FULL restores so we should save it for the level loss.

Wand of Daylight sounds good

Since the place will be lusy with undead, we should get holy water, hide from undead items, detect undead, plus (Lesser) Restore potions and scrolls since we will be getting slapped. Death Ward is a good idea for the inevitable vampire showdown.

Gerard sneak attacking with rapid fire holy water vials sounds awesome.

Anyone want anything from the treasure pile? Daggers for Gerard?(There is a +3 silver dagger in there, excellent against vampires and devils0

Orsin, want anything? I can get the tallies done up today.

Sneak is precision... doesn't work with splash.

+3 dagger is fine, but no hemming/hawing about $18K, like the rapier incident.

Can't look until I'm home... What have Trap DCs been like? This AP is deadly. We had that trap when I first joined.

Maybe I'll shoot for DC 33 or 35, Disable Device. I hate hate hate traps, was glad it wasn't my job.

The issue now is how the hell we get rid of so much coin in short order.

For instance I have a little over 16, 000 gp woth of coin.
Westcrown is big enough (I think )for most stuff but takes time.

Don't suppose the Iomedaen church would have some high value stuff?

The only open church permitted in Westcrown is Asomedues. Others are outlawed, some like Iomedae and Calistria.

Your half-brother will buy the gear off you Daniel at half-price. He'll act as broker.

Gerard, take a look at the rings like Ring of Maniacal Devices. +5 Craft Traps and Disable Devices for 5k. There is a vest item but you are wearing quick runner's shirt.

Eyes of Eagle(+5 Perception)
Goggles of Minute Seeing(+5 Disable device)

Andrea will probably be upgrading her Cloak of Resistance to +2. She'll no doubt be coughing up money to help her prostitute friends gain liberty.

I'm in something of dilemma here the AP has the next event happening the next day once you get back to town. There is little if any rest before the 6th book begins. The events following Drovenges death come to rapid succession.

I know Andrea and Orsin want to free the working girls from the Grotto the last Big Side Storyline to clean up other than Orsin's personal problems but that actually coincides as a conclusion. The same can be said about Gerard gaining control of the COT - its more of a conclusion or a coda.

Well ending the Shadowcurse could allow us to take a break. I don't expect us to really get anything done before hitting Walcourt for the penultimate plot point(Ending the curse)

Being able to take a few days off after killing Ilnerik doesn't sound out of line.

I can probably slide something in between book 5 and 6 regarding the Grotto. If you all defeat Ilnerik that should rattle the city and perhaps the owner of the Grotto will be receptive to hearing a deal.

I just don't want you thinking I'm ignoring or not doing anything with that sidestory.

Right. Paperwork takes time to clear, especially in Westcrown(Need to get everything in triplicate)

Cheapest way to upgrade is to have current stuff Improved.

Eg +1 nat armor to +2 is just pay the difference.
3000 gp.

Selling a +1 for 500 and buying a +2 for 4000gp is a 500gp loss.

Is there time to upgrade?

One lot of 500 is not much but there are a number of items in the Xmas tree.

If you don't plan on falling much, sure.

I'm also going to look into a wand of Lesser Restore. Our Wands of Restoration can clear up things like STR damage, but the (YMMV) 'small stuff' like str damage can be solved with a Lesser Restore unless we have a NEED HEAL NOW! situation.

Edit: Fully charged Lesser Restore runs 4,500

Being able to bludugen people as a statue can be fun, but you would be helpless while doign that. Perhaps for scouting?

Also, I remember now... We fought the initial camp group, then advanced quickly, so as not to lose our buffs. Gerard grabbed as couple of potions as he spoke to Mark.

Archers on the big rock, swordsmen, etc... Did we lose all that? We turned the tide about 1 minute later.

So it looks like we did pass over the swords that were wielded in the battle against the swordsmen and archers. This was the fight where we first had The Bug fight with us and the Charmed Giant(next battle after this was the big fight at the tree)

Remember the bug ate most of the men it encountered in the ambush. Body and gear but he has been leaving dung presents occasionally.

Does anyone recall how many in game days it's been since we hit level 9? Orsin has been using his arcane bond from his Eldritch Heritage (arcane bloodline) feat to improve his bonded longsword from a +2 to a +3 weapon. I've assumed he's been working on it during downtime every day (I made a post about starting the project way back when [I can find the post if necessary]), so I'm hoping to spend my gold mostly on that.

As for the loot, Andrea, I don't think I need anything from the gear. I'll likely spend my gold on my sword and more scrolls.
