Ranalfus |

I'm assuming we were a bit closer in the big room behind and not still out in the tunnel.
Round 1
Ranalfus starts shouting commands inspiring himself and his allies before moving into the room.
Standard: Start Bardic Performance
Move: Move into room

Keil |

I've adjusted some of the tokens
Realizing these Orcs are stronger than he'd originally thought, Keil curses but keeps his head in the game. Trusting Brok's arrows will finish the job the shadowy man moves further into the room bringing his blade down upon one of those still lying prone. (MA+SA vs. prone Orc to the south. I'm risking drawing an AoO should Brok's arrows fail to do their job.)
MWK Short Sword Att vs. Prone: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
Confirm: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
2xDamage+2xSneak: 2d6 + 6d6 ⇒ (6, 3) + (2, 5, 3, 1, 6, 2) = 28
Inspire Courage: +2 morale bonus to saving throws versus fear effects | Shadow Blending in effect, 50% miss chance

Praetor Grey |

Momentarily hopeful about finding his people, his heart hardened again when he saw their trappings. This place was rife with the blasphemies of Orcus, and only getting worse as they descended.
Suddenly the witch doctor was thrilled at the idea of slaughtering his kinsmen. Getting rid of them would reduce the numbers of Orcs taken in by diabolism and cultish lies.
He moved in behind Brok and readied himself for a fight.
All I can do is move this round.

![]() |

Once again deciding that this attack is foolish at best, but allowing his companions to charge to their own deaths is more foolish, Varg quickly moves forward to engage the orcs.
Double move - 60'

Komm the "Grandfather" |

While Praetor and Vargrenz hurry to join the battle, Brok sends a trio of arrows into the wounded orc priest sending him sprawling to the ground. This allows Keil to step forward driving his blade into his companion's throat. Ranalfus starts an eerie chanting which seems to help focus the attention of the fighting men whilst distracting their foes.
Grezzor is UP!
Priest: Awake, Prone
Acolyte 1: -33 hp, dying, prone
Acolyte 2: -28 hp, dying, prone
Acolyte 3: Awake, Prone

Grezzor |

Seeing as their opponents seem apparently overwhelmed, Grezzor moves next to Ranalfus, and casts a simple fiery spell to engulf two of them.
RA maps are always kinda messed up :D I think next to Ranalfus and using the second options for 15' cone:
======
0G0

(G=Grezzor, 0=Floor, X=Burning hands)
I can affect both the red circled ones without affecting Keil?
If so:
Casting Burning Hands:
"Burn..." - the wizard mutters.
Burning Hands (Reflex DC17): 5d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 3, 1) + 4 = 14
Lots of 1s...

Komm the "Grandfather" |

Grezzor sends a gout of flame into the two remaining foes...
Reflex save DC 17: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Reflex save DC 17: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
...and both of them duck behind their shields before they stand to their feet...This will provoke 2 AoO's from Keil (please designate which opponent you wish to attack).
One of the orcs swings his mace at the fetchling...
light mace: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 miss
while the other one holds up his unholy symbol, sending a wave of unholy energy washing over everyone in the room! Curiously the effect seems to harm the other priests as well.
Channel Energy: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 1) = 9 damage. Brok, Grezzor and Keil need Will save DC 14 to take 4 damage.
Round 2: Priests, Everyone.
Priest: -7 hp
Acolyte 1: -42 hp, dead
Acolyte 2: -28 hp, dying, prone
Acolyte 3: -11 hp

![]() |

Will vs Channel: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Hoping to make it a very bad day for one of the priests, Varg steps up and begins to pummel the priest before him.
5' step
Attach FOB: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 = 10
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 = 8
Attach FOB: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 1 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 = 12
.

Grezzor |

Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Grezzor shrugs off most of the insidious magic, and aims a similar spell to the same targets.
Same cone shape again I believe avoids Vargrenz.
"Burn!" - the goblin whispers again, this time more forcefully.
Burning Hands (Reflex DC17): 5d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 3, 4, 4, 3) + 4 = 21

Brok Nunnelnoggin |

Brok shudders as the negative energy flows over him, but he shrugs off the worst of the effects.
will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Then he shoots the half-orc that Vargrenz just engaged.
shortbow #1: 1d20 + 12 + 1 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 12 + 1 - 2 + 2 = 32 (deadly aim, pbs, precise shot, manyshot, favored enemy)
confirm shortbow #1: 1d20 + 7 + 1 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 1 - 2 + 2 = 10
damage #1: 2d4 + 2 + 8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1, 2) + 2 + 8 + 2 + 2 = 17
shortbow #2: 1d20 + 7 + 1 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 1 - 2 + 2 = 11
damage #2: 1d4 + 1 + 4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 4 + 1 + 2 = 12

Ranalfus |

Ranalfus steps up and starts to viciously attack at one of the men.
Claw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Claw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Damage Claw: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Damage Bite: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
DC 15 fortitude save on each hit or paralyzed

Komm the "Grandfather" |

Vargrenz steps forth and clobbers the orc priest, leaving him reeling...until Grezzors spell leaves him charred and smoking. Brok's arrow slams into the remaining priest, and Ranalfus gleefully steps forward to dig his claws into the orc's side. The badly scorched orc stiffens up as the paralysis takes hold!
As quickly as the combat started it is over as the priests lay defeated before you!
COMBAT OVER!
Priest: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2; 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9; 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27; -33 hp, paralyzed for 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 rounds.
Acolyte 1: -42 hp, dead
Acolyte 2: -28 hp, dying, prone
Acolyte 3: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19; -33 hp, dying, prone

Komm the "Grandfather" |

These priests were very well equipped, with three of them carrying 2 potions of cure light wounds, a potion of entropic shield, and a potion of longstrider each. Also each was wearing masterwork scale mail, and carrying a masterwork heavy wooden shield, and a masterwork light mace.
The fourth priest must have been of more importance as he is even better equipped: 2 potions of cure serious wounds, a potion of invisibility, a fully charged wand of inflict light wounds, a magical breastplate (+1), masterwork heavy steel shield, masterwork heavy mace, a magical cloak of resistance +1, spell component pouch, and an unholy symbol of Orcus.
The total number of gold pieces found is 132 on the four priests as well.
Also Brok sees the leader of the priests is still alive, though his underlings have perished.
Loot list updated.

Keil |

Like the goblin, Keil shrugs off most of the priest's ill intent.
Showing surprising restraint, the shadowy man leaves what remains of clearing the room to his comrades (no point in rolling AoO if combat is done.) Standing behind the captured orc, Keil removes the priest's unholy symbol to add to his collection. Then, his blade at the brute's throat, the shadowy man's eyes settle upon the witch, awaiting Grey's direction.
As Brok searches their belongings, the fetchling's yellow eyes momentarily betray his coveting of the potion of invisibility, but Keil does not move to claim the item as yet, not when an interrogation is at hand.
Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
I presume Grey will want to speak with the priest.
Keil would like to replace the invisibility potion he'd used earlier, the rest the group can pick over first.

![]() |

Varg can use the Cloak of Resistance. He has very little at this point, and jacking up his saves seems like a good idea. He will also take some of the healing potions depending on what others want.

Praetor Grey |

Grey will probably want to speak with the priest, but right now Brok is the only one who knows he's still alive. It's up to him if he says anything, or just lets the priest bleed out.
Grey would like to claim the Wand. I don't think anyone else can use it anyway.

Brok Nunnelnoggin |

"This goat-priest not dead yet. Kill him, or make him talk?" Brok asks.
Brok tosses the valuable gear into a pile for the others to examine and Grezzor to identify.
"Lots of shiny loot on goat-priests. Weapons and armor too big to fit Brok, anyone mind if Brok takes magic cloak?"
(Brok could use the cloak to boost his terrible Will save but I would agree that Varg hasn't gotten any gear of real note yet. He would like as many potions of Longstrider and Cure Light Wounds as the group feels comfortable handing over)

Brok Nunnelnoggin |

Looking at everyone's stats, I think either Keil or Praetor should take the Cloak of Resistance instead of Brok.

Keil |

Keil is only interested in the potion of invisibility but will take whatever the other's don't want.
The shadowy man sneers behind the orc priest, adjusting the edge of his blade threatening across the orc's throat he mutters just loud enough for the priest to hear, "Mmmm, I'm going to make this one last..."

Komm the "Grandfather" |

As you divvy up the loot garnered during the battle, the orc priest leader finally throws off the paralysis caused by Ranalfus' claws and struggles against his bonds.
"You puny runts get nothing from me!" He spits at his feet in your general direction.
Intimidate checks here to make him talk, if you wish.

Brok Nunnelnoggin |

As Ranalfus closes in to show the half-orc his fangs and demand answers, Brok leers from the side and sharpens a skinning knife ominously.
intimidate(aid another - Ranalfus): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
(assuming the ghast-bard will do the questioning)

Keil |

Kind of thought Grey would be doing that, but Ranalfus, or anyone asking questions, will work too. As long as it is not Keil. His diplomacy needs work.
The fetchling giggles in a ridiculous kind of girlish way, the effect being so out of place that it will undoubtedly leave an impression. His snickering done tightens the ropes around the priest's neck, but not enough to cut off circulation.
Intimidate Aid: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
We've tied him up, right? If not, we should before Keil starts cutting things off.

![]() |

Varg does not even say anything, but instead simply stands close to the priest stretching and cracking his knuckles.
Intimidate(aid): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
Grezzor, we need to stop wasting these nat-20s, lol.

Komm the "Grandfather" |

Actually those '20's were not wasted...
Something in the tone of the party members here must have hit a nerve as the orc priest slumps his shoulders in defeat. "Aye what did ye want to know? I was jes' returnin' from seein' th' Oracle here. Jes' let me go now. I got nothin' else you could want from me!"

Brok Nunnelnoggin |

"Does this oracle answer questions free of charge or does he require payment?" Brok asks from the side.

Keil |

The fetchling scoffs pointing to the treasure the orc's had with them, "If they paid, they held back. Or else their oracle is cheap."
The shadowy man leans over the orc and whispers, "Orc liver is a group favorite. Lightly roasted, with a hint of spice. Mmmmm."

Brok Nunnelnoggin |

"Are there rules or customs to be followed when asking the oracle a question?" Brok continues.

Keil |

"There is plenty of orc blood. Perhaps she would accept that?"
