It's not a ghost or magic, the arrows are dissolving due to acid, and the ghost is not acting like a ghost, and the like seems to reflect and refract in a clear cube surrounding the armour and axe.

As he continues to move back Jund notices the arrows dissolve, as if being eaten by acid. The light plays across clear cube surrounding the armour and axe.

"That is no specter. The arrows are being eaten away, as if by acid." Pointing at the cube, "Look there, you can see how the light outlines a clear cube.... that is moving? Is this some trap or creature?"

He describes the creature Slow moving, almost translucent, a block of a jelly person, looks vulnerable to fire. Probably some sort of ooze, but no has been able to identify it yet.

Just remembered, the thing also takes fire damage from the previous rounds fire continuing, if it kept on fire ... so another 1d6 ⇒ 5 this round maybe.
