If I recall, the number of actual Hellknights in a hellknight facility isn't usually all that high - a few full-fledged knights and bunch of men-at-arms (Armingers? Do I have that right?). What would Ivori have seen about the forces in the Fort, and were any out on patrol or such? Would he have any idea where the cells would be?
"Tell me about your companions and their capabilities. They'll be disarmed, of course, but I don't know if this fort has the ability to ward casters completely.
How small of an animal can you become? Would you be able to get word to your comrades if we need to plan a breakout?"
He begins to lead his horse back toward the fort.

As for forms I can turn into, a mouse or a bat would probably go unnoticed. If necessary I can turn into an earth elemental and earth glide under the fort.

Now, her life is forfeit, but she must make sure her friends do not pay for her error. But how.
Sorry for the missing spoiler.

Spells in question are slipstream and feather step. As for my spells cast earlier, freedom of movement and barkskin were both extended so they should last 3 hours 40 mins. Strong jaw and bears endurance both expired. I'm not sure how far away Ivori set up camp so it's up to you if the long duration spells are still going Aubrey.

Ivori:
Try a Perception and Diplomacy check (this isn't for Tikrok, its an abstraction of what you either noticed or discuivered through conversation).

Ivori quietly relays what her remembers about the fort, the forces within, and what the Ranger told him about the back door...
Tirok, go ahead and read the spoilers for me above.

How about we send Tirok in in tiny animal form - maybe a bat? at dusk so he can determine the location of his friends. Can he communicate in that form? If not, maybe carry a tiny note (a la Hedwig...) letting them know to be ready.

Survival check to work out which branch leads under the keep and (presumably) to the dungeon.
The Rest:
If Camlo is to carry out his plan, he will fist need to make a Disable Device check (DC 30) to undo the lock on his door, make a Stealth check (DC to be determined) to crepp out to Sef's cell, and make another DC 30 Disable Device check to undo her door.

As much as Ivori would like to take a casual walk all around the fort and observe the defenders...Hellknights were, he knew, a step above the average castle guards.
He moved to the best spot he could, in sight of the cave but out of sight of the walls, and settled in to wait for Tirok. Or an explosion. Whichever came first, really.

She sighs quietly. “In my attempt to be inconspicuous, I left almost everything on the horse. My armor, my helm... I was a fool and should have waited for you on the trail.

"I can open the doors easily enough, but we need your noggin to get out of this."
Sefayll Valerian |
Once her hands are free, she will take a moment to cast detect magic and concentrate on different parts of the room to see if there is any sort of magic in force.
Concentration DC 20 to cast without bonded object: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (14) + 16 = 30
After completing her examination of the room, she whispers, "Shame I don't have my helmet. Barring magic that would prevent the passage, we could teleport out of here."
It doesn't appear that Elisile prepared teleport today, but dimension door seems to be available. That has potential.

With the continuous roar of the waterfall, Ivori doesn't hear the hoofbeats of Alwyn's horse. Only as his attention wavers does he glance to see the rather intimidating figure riding up the road.
Not more Hellknights coming ba...No. No, definitely NOT a Hellknight, he thinks to himself, seeing the skull-helm and tiger skin.
Tall one, that. Almost elf-tall...but dressed a bit rough for any elf I ever met. Maybe he's not headed for the fort...

If that's a Shoanti, I can see why he's not with his tribe, Ivori thinks, taking in the newcomers nontraditional appearance. Meh. Who am I to judge? I'd not exactly be a common sight among the wagons.
Hands well away from his weapons, Ivori greets Alwyn.
"Well met, Alwyn Agnarrson. I am called Ivori Zalakura, and I think your friends are in trouble," he says, offering his forearm to the big Shoanti.
Alwyn Agnarrson |
Ivori, Tikrok, Aubrey:
"What seems to be the problem at the fort? I never liked or trusted the damned Hellknights; if they have reneged on the deal we had, blood will flow." Alwyn seems entirely comfortable with the prospect of cracking Hellknight heads.

Alwyn Agnarrson |
Ivori, Aubrey, Tikrok:
Alwyn tips the faceplate of his skull helmet into place - it is the yellow-stained white of ancient, weathered bone with a bloody handprint over the right side of it. "Before we free our buddies we need to agree on a strategy - do we subdue or kill the Hellknights? Killing Hellknights does not bother me in the slightest, but then we'll need to kill all of them to stop word of this from reaching their headquarters. It might be more politic to knock them out; we can always get rid of them later if needed."
With a growled oath, Alwyn's platemail erupts with fierce-looking spikes. He draws his greatsword and nods at Tikrok. "I'll lead the way. Open it whenever you are ready."
I'm casting Gorum's armour now - it'll last 2 hours. With the mask, cloak, greatsword and overall height, Alwyn already looks pretty scary; the spikes should put the intimidation factor over the top.
Ivori Zalakura |
Ivori purses his lips and nods, impressed, as the Shoanti gets even scarier.
"I'd say knock them out. If we kill any, they'll be hounding us for years. They're annoying enough without such a grudge.
He draws is own blade and nods his readiness to Tirok.
