I forget how tall the walls are. Hopefully not more than 2o feet.

Tikrok sprints to the wall hoping to cut off line of sight for the guards patrolling. Once there he casts a spell and a thick mist billows out from his position.

Move to AA-10 and cast Obscuring mist. 20 ft radius, can't see more than 5ft away in the mist.

Sefayll will fly (using her overland flight spell). I believe she can reach F12 and have line-of-sight to guard G4 on the wall.

The disgraced signifier slides away from the door, floating scant inches from the ground, and turns to face the guard nearest the gate. With a momentary concentration, she casts a spell on the hellknight. Hold Person, Will DC 21 to resist

"Ach, what now!" Dravite storms from the stables, moving away from everyone else. "Well, come on then, come an' 'ave a go, if ya think yer hard enough!"

That should be all of the actions up to the guards.

Move to U16, draw and prep long bow while he moves.


I assume Sef means G4. 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

The guard on the tower immediately freezes in place. meanwhile, one jumpds down from the wall and draws his sword. Thw other mpoves from the wall to the other tower and hurls a javelin at Dravite.

G1 attacks Dravite with a javelin
1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 5 - 2 = 13 to hit, damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Dravite, seeing Alwayn compleatly ignore his ploy to draw out the guards, stops and shoots.

there should be a 20 ft radius obscuring mist originating from aa-10. I moved and cast last turn. Also, hopefully there's no doors into the keep on the map.

The cheeta bolts from the wall to the middle of the court yard. It starts meowing and gesticulating as a giant wall of brambles shoots up from the ground to cover the open space.

Move to S-14 and cast Wall of thorns to cover JK-22/23 through ST-22/23 (6 sq), TU-23/24 (1sq), ST-20/21 through MN-20/21 (4 sq)

Didn't realise you had. Um, OK, if you insist.

In his enthusiasm to knock down the tower, Asher doesn't think about what the consequences might be. With a groan the tower collapses and falls away from the direction of the blast from his ring, sending rubble and wood fragments flying and filling the air with dust. When he is done, he realises he has dropped the tower on the stables and quite prossibly killed half of the horses in there. Those that are left are screaming in terror and Dravite howls, "Ye fookin' loonie! What about Crag?!" Camlo's horse rears.

Meanwhile, Tikrok summons a barrier of thorns to block the entrance from the rest of the bailey.

Meanwhile, other hellknights gather at the far side of of Tikrok's thorny barrier.

G1 was the guy with the rocks. G2 and G4 are both paralysed.

Alwyn shoves the crossbar aside. Illes and Elisile move up to the stables. Dravite runs back inise the stables. "Crag! Crag! Are ye alright?"

A stream if very ungentlemanly Varisian issues from under Ivori's visor, drowned out by the ringing impact of rock on metal. But the retired Pathfinder pushes through, finally getting his hands on the gate.

Pick up where Alwyn left off - either moving the crossbar, opening one side of the gate, or opening the second door of the gate, depending on how far along Alwyn got.


Sefayll moves toward the remaining threat on the wall. Unsure If his height. She will fly up to his elevation at the typical 45-degree angle before moving straight toward him. I don’t expect to reach him this round, so double move.

Seeing the hellknights being held at bay with the thorn wall, Tikrok heads to the stables and changes back to human form. "The gate is open, we need to get these animals moving. My wall will not hold them long." He begins to try to calm the animals so they will cooperate.

Handle Animal: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Action to change back to human. Move into the stables. I'm not sure if handle animal would be an action or not.

I believe moving to Q10 as I move up in elevation will use 40’ and put me 20’ in the air. She will then move directly toward G1, putting her at Y10.

Asher sprints to the stables.


Camlo pushes past both Alwyn and Ivori as he leads his horse to freedom. Asher follows Dravite inside the stables where he finds the dwarf stroking the nods of his mule and getting ready to lead her out too.

Meanwhile, up on the tower, the last hellknight guard throws a javelin at Sefayll.

G1 attacks Sef with a javelin
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 to hit, damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

The other guards shout, "To the walls!" and begin to scramble on to the cookhouse roof so they can get round the conjured bramble barrier. More come running along the wall from other parts of the fort.

"Give it up, devil-worshippers," Alwayn grumbles, shaking his head in disgust. "Don't make me hurt you."

Move to AH 11 before dropping another Wall of thorns along the outer wall. I get 11 10' cubes. I want AB/AC 13/14 south along the wall to Y/Z 22-23 (7 cubes); from there west to U 22-23 (2 cubes) and south on top of the wall to Z 28 (2 cubes).


That won't work as the wall needs to be standing on something solid or the spell will fail. Most of those cubes will be half-dangling in midair because they are wider than the wall they would be standing on. Please reconsider your action.

The main point is to keep reinforcements from reaching us. How about U 21/22 to Z21/22 (3 cubes), U23/24 to Y23/24 (3 cubes), V 25/26 (3 cubes from the ground) to X 25/26 (1 cube). The last cube goes in V/W 18/19.


From his position, Alwyn wouldn't have had line of sight to V-W/25-26. Given the differences in height between the cookhouse roof and the wall as well, we'll say that he uses a few extra cubes to make up the difference.

Alwyn engulfs the top of the smokehouse in more conjured thorns, cutting off the hellknights approach along the wall.

Illes and Elisile duck into the stables to grab their horses. They meet dravite coming the other way, pulling Crag along with one hand and a horse along with another.

Sefayll holds her arms out wide in a gesture of peace and says, "We wish you no harm. Drop your weapons to the courtyard and let us pass."

She is using her irresistible demand spell-like ability on G1. He needs a Will DC 20 to resist. If his save failssuccessful and he throws his weapons down, she will thank him and fly due east for the full 40' move of her overland flight spell.

Irresistible Demand:
This is the 8th-level ability of the Enchantment school's Controller subschool. Here is the ability per AoN.

Irresistible Demand (Sp): At 8th level, you can force others to do your bidding. As a standard action, you attempt to dominate a creature as though using the dominate monster spell, except that the creature must have a number of Hit Dice equal to or less than your wizard level (for Sefayll, the limit is 8 HD.). The targeted creature receives a Will saving throw each round to negate the effect. The DC is equal to 10 + 1/2 your wizard level + your Intelligence modifier (For Sefayll, this is a Will DC 20.). You can dominate creatures for a number of rounds per day equal to your wizard level. These rounds do not need to be consecutive. You must concentrate as a standard action to maintain control over a dominated creature.

OK, there are nine of us including Dravite, right? Alwyn and Ivori have horses outside, and Tikrok WAS a horse, so that leaves five horses and Crag. Two horse and Crag are out of the stable, and there are three adventurers in the stable. IF they each bring a horse, we're good to go.

Mindful of rocks and javelins from the walls, Ivori moves away from the battlements a bit and stays on his toes, ready to dodge at a moment's notice, ready to hold the gate until his new friends have passed.

move to Z13, full defense. AC goes to 31.

Seeing that he doesn't need to return for morte horses, Camlo will move off down the path with the others. Not sure where trhat will be so I will let you place him Aubs, he's not riding yet, so 30ft move speed.

Tikrok comes back out the stables and looks for any guards getting past the barrier. Not seeing any he changes shape once more into the dual horned rhinoceros.

With the way blocked, those of the guards that can turn and run for the other gate. More hellknights come round the corner of the fort wall, looking to cut off the escapees.
