3 hours per day commuting now. I live 18 km from work.

Could cycle that quicker. I agree about the bbcode, I post from iOS devices a fair bit and it's a big pain.

Heh. Maybe, but you would be risking your life every day and I'm not kidding. There are no bike lanes and I commute either during drunk driver hours or morning rush hour or both.

Also to state the obvious people drive like crazy aggressive a!$&*$!s here and the space between cars on either side or between lanes is considered motorcycle / vespa space. It makes me nervous just driving a car because motorcycles are trying to zoom around and squeeze between traffic lanes all the time.

Yeah, I hadn't thought of that aspect.... UK roads can be bad enough. I spent 3 months commuting through some of the busier parts of Manchester City Center.... that was *fun*.

Just to let you know, my home computer has died. My posting might be disrupted as a result.

Sorry for being so slow - my computer now lives, but I'm busy at work and a bit knackered at home. I should get going in the next day or so.

This is gold. It sounds like Freedom of movement and some sort of flying ability is the order of the day. Also, if we can turn invisible, we can probably sneak past many of his undead or mechanical guards.

I can do freedom of movement twice. I picked it up last level but haven't had any reason to cast it yet.

I have it memorised once. If we can get Hudak, Enga and Camlo into melee quickly, he should be toast in no time.

Actually have taken up running, so that's new, and I have gone back to school to finish a degree. Sitting amongst children, I might add. They look so young...

When last we spoke, things were sounding rough - you get it all back aright? Can we look forward to more of you on the boards, perhaps? (Yes, I have no shame.)

Running is good, I seem to take up running every summer (... or maybe every second summer) and then give it up in winter.

Yeah, things were a bit rough on a couple of fronts. Got though it, but in the process decided I needed to give up on some things for a while, the boards being one of them unfortunately. Hopefully I'll be around a bit now.

Really sorry that I bailed on your PFS game (if I didn't know before that I was in too many pbp games back then, it has hit home with the number of 'sorry I left your game' posts I have been doing lately), and that I never replied to your kind email.

Aubrey has been nice enough to offer me a place back in the game (assuming the rest of you are happy with that) - I'd love to return (and it sounds like a good point if you are close to finishing a book), just kind of want to make sure I'm up for it first before I commit. I was spending far too much time online (and on Paizo particularly) before, and want to make sure I don't fall back into bad habits.

But I did love these games ...

We are good. The way things work in Greece didn't make sense before the crisis and they probably make less sense now, but we're still here :P The riots always end just before our block so everything's probably fine right? ;)

These games miss you too. As a player I'm pretty sure we'd all love to see you back. No worries about the PFS game. They are short run and I had too many going on as well. Had to stop running those eventually because I couldn't find the time to do it.

Piling on, I've done the same. I would love to 'meet' Elisile. She did indeed depart as the Hellknights captured you lot, which is when I came on board.

Ha. I'll definitely consider bringing her back (if everyone is ok with that), but as Aubrey has pointed out, it's probably best to wait for a logical point to do so, to maintain continuity in the game.

If you felt like smashing things in the meantime Hudak is with us but Heathy is on hiatus for now. Vatts is running him at the moment. Alternatively Sefyall has a charmed kobold barbarian who is surprisingly effective. I would imagine we have 3-5 encounters before closing out this book so it might be up to 3 months before Elisile is encountered.

I more or less quit with the rest of the boards too though I was more a reader than an active poster. I used to like to read the rules forums to understand things I might not have encountered before, but the endless arguing over willfully obtuse reading of RAW burned me out.

That's a good idea - might be fun for Hudak and/or Enga to have a player.

I'd like to bring Elisile back at a suitably portentious moment. Don't want to do the old "Hey, look who we found tied up in the dungeon!" routine. Unless, of course, it's portentious...

Good suggestion Ithuriel (and sorry I missed it until now); I have been trying to catch up on the thread, but it is slow going, I’m not sure when I will be done. To be fair I probably don’t strictly need to know what’s been happening since Elisile’s been gone to play her, but it would be good to be up on current events to play Hudak or the kobold.

I’m happy to run Hudak (not sure I can fill Heath’s shoes but I can give it a shot), on the other hand if Vattnisse has him well in hand for now I’m happy to run Enga instead.

Has anyone got the time to give me a very brief run-down of the current situation, current group lineup (I’m pretty sure Sefayll is the only new character since I left, but not sure if there are any NPCs hanging about that I should be aware of), and any brief roleplaying notes for Enga (or Hudak for that matter)?

Enga has not been around long. You can probably read everything involving the little psycho... I mean warrior in short order. Just search for her name in the thread. Her stats are on the campaign tab. I will see if I have time for more later, have to catch a ride now.

Hey everyone, looks like I jumped the gun a bit by asking Chubbs to post … turns out it will be at least a week before I am unavailable for medical reasons … I’m fine (mentally, emotionally) but unfortunately need to go into hospital for some unexpected surgery. Initially I was told it would be immediate, but now the process has slowed down a bit, I will probably go in in approx. a week, at which time I will probably be out of (regular) contact for a week or so.

Further to my potential absence, I’ve had a second opinion on the need for surgery, and at this point I am going to hold off; it may still need to happen down the track, but not in the immediate future.
