You have died and the gods have decided for one reason or another to give you another chance. This chance is to start anew as you are with a special ability in a mystical world of monsters and adventure.

It is an Isekai game, a reference to a situation in which characters find themselves transported to an alternate dimension or universe.

How many languages did you know on Earth and what were they?

Oops, Ed went to investigate in gameplay!

Niversal searches for a weapon... it takes a while but as the conversation above continues you find a crate of lomgswords.

well this will have to do, find any armor Ed? Niversal knows Ed has seen body armor at least prior to his retiring from the military. Meanwhile Niversal takes two long swords and says up I say. Up leads out most likely

Keep the languages you know, also you gain bonuses languages based on your INT modifier. As those download into your brain like all the skills that you had not learned before, spells, and any specials that your class gives you.

As pact wizard gives a patron and I chose shadow (for illusions), I thought maybe there is some powerful creature from the shadow plane that I am getting the pact from. First I thought maybe a shadow Dragon, and eventually I could be able to become one or more like one.

This game seems very interesting. I honestly didn't read any of the game play before I chose Merlin's spell book. That was just an amazing coincidence. Excited to see what may come of that.

On my previous thoughts of the patron that may be granting me magic, I have found that not all Umbral Dragons are evil, Ghostmaw serves Pharasma a neutral deity, Ithanothaur is mentioned as being not evil aligned. So perhaps a similar dragon has agreed to be my patron. Would I be allowed to flesh out such a dragon's story? Something like a good dragon getting stuck in the plane of shadow and being changed. Though also a lesser god or someone like Sivannah could be my patron or even Loki!

Go for it Serrill! Though the Mistress would be your easiest choice.

The one the brought us here? That would be the simplest and now that I think of it the best. I will go with that and maybe later find some way to transform into a dragon or something.

Uh... I'm going to state this for Serill, when I made my character I took my other language that I knew (some partial German) and just put it into what I thought it would be its in game equivalent(Dwarven). Not sure if Wolf wants to do that again or has something else in mind.

I am fine with you keeping your former languages. I forgot what we had originally chose.

I'm enjoying myself quite a lot too! I ended up picking the phantom thief option, because Unchained Skills seem cool, and I'm a sucker for neat options like that. That being said, I'm super into the actual content of the wish having more or less content based off of my top of my head wording in the recruitment thread! Fun is fun after all!

Knowing our demographic, dice seems like a solid guess

To cast a spell, you must be able to speak (if the spell has a verbal component), gesture (if it has a somatic component), and manipulate the material components or focus (if any). Additionally, you must concentrate to cast a spell.

Yeah its not very specific. So you can have one hand free, which can hold the material component. Though remember to read the spell description for any nuances it alludes to you needing for the spell.

The earliest Gestalt would be the alter or one other room.

I strongly suggest the rooms you might encounter, otherwise it will just be a fort turned dungeon! Have fun, I do incorporate player suggestions a lot!

Is it me or has posting drastically lessened?

Did anyone win the prize? Also: I requested access to the Arcanum NPC/Quests link. Hope you have a pleasant birthday!

I will access the request when I get some time. Thanks John. I will be opening the rest of my gifts tonight so you have a chance still to win!

John it looks like you are missing your background story... also you gain expert levels! That is why the wizard has more HP than you!

Once you Gestalt you will lose all the abilities of your expert levels other than your added HP. Trust me you are going to need it. Original players you will need to make these adjustments, you get to keep the HP from the expert levels and only that. Please let me know if you have any questions about this.

ClapTrap:
You find yourself scrunched tightly into a chest or crate of some kind. Pushing nothing happens but a bit of claustriphobia probably kicks in and you push harder. The lid pops off and you find you have all sorts of clothes around you. Mostly feminine panties.

Looking around you see that you are in a bedroom of some kind. A large four poster bed is made with rich silks. It has pillows on it. The lights are torches with flames shedding light to the room. You see there are carpets on the floor. A large mantle with a roaring fire within the fire place. The room is hot. It is a nice change from how cold you have been recently. What do you do?

Ol’ Clappy McTrappy here :)
I let out a muffled Oomph. as I feel something blunt and pointed jammed into my face. Getting a little ticked off, I start shoving, hard. POP! the lid comes off and it turns out I was jammed into some stupid little crate or something. Ya, that lady musta not been too pleased with me. I grumble as I take stock in where I am at. It also turns out the thing making its presence known in my cheek was my Stats textbook.
Friggn joke in there about hitting the books or something and frak! It’s hot in here! Somebody left the friggen firepit going full blast…
I take my bright red and white winter jacket off, fold it under my arm and pick up my computer bag once more. I take another look around and shake my head.
Yup. This is gonna suck…
Despite my grumbly attitude I did notice something unusual. I know something. Interesting…
With that I head towards the door of the room and begin calling out Hello! Hi, anyone here? Can somebody please come and help me?

Hia! :)
Turns out that I had an old profile of mine that was my name, sooo... It kinda seemed appropriate for this :p
Also, just so it's known; I really, really love the cold! ^_^ Hate the heat... >_>
I enjoy and can tolerate the cold far better than anyone else I know, -10 and snowing is common t-shirt weather for me. :p I cannot handle heat at all and I can't fathom why people want to be warm... Ugg. Cold just feels better.

Also, I had a brilliant idea! >:D
Alchemists use spellbooks... Why not use my Statistics for Dummies textbook as my spellbook? That would be hilarious! XD

That said, just currently getting my character sheet written up. :)

Cameron:
Until further notice you will be spoilering your actions to me. Hopefully the group finds you in one piece.

As you get about halfway across the room the door opens and you see a woman. Me! Confidently open the door and enter, then freeze seeing and hearing you, as if for the first time. Then see looks around the room and sees her clothes rifled through. Her face gets perturbed and apparently is thinking of what to do with you.

I like it! You never know what might have changed in the translation. So how many books came with you?

Spoilering:
I see the lady walk in and immediately see the obvious look on her face and knowing that obviously means trouble.
Hey! Wait a sec, it's Magic! Would someone intent on sneaking around go and carry their luggage with them and go hollering for someone to come find them?
At a second glance, it is becoming more apparently obvious that I don't belong here nor in this way. I got a black satchel-looking bag under my right arm, a thick traveling coat under the other and holding some sort of cooled brown drink with a bright red straw in it. My clothes seem to be casual wear but not like anything remotely local and topping it all off sits a barmy hat. (Heck I would probably fit right in at the airport. -_-)
Hey lady, this ain't where I thought I would be, could you tell me where the heck am I? And I hate that I am asking this, but I got a feeling... Could, um, could you tell me when this is too?
Diplomacy check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

You wanna do the lucky honors? Also slight artistic license but I changed my beige tuque to match the hat in the profile picture. Also the above alias seems bugged, so I am switching to this one.

Carried items:

So here is a more specific and final inventory of what I have on me:
Medium Ice Capp (refilled!)
Black bowler hat (changed from beige tuque)
Red and White winter coat (has detachable black liner inside)
Red shirt
Jeans
White shoes (well they used to be white -__-)
wallet
-$5.00 in coins
-17 various cards
-picture of my grandma & grandpa (aww!)
Iphone 6

Black shoulder satchel computer bag:
-Laptop computer
-Ipad Pro with keyboard attachment
-Bluetooth Noise Canceling Headphones (important!)
-Wireless mouse
-Mousepad
-3 charging cables
-Apple plugin adapter (little white cube)
-headphone jack
-Permanent marker
-2 pens
-0.5 mechanical pencil with extra lead
-White eraser
-variety of multi-colored sticky notes
-Scotch tape
-Mask

Books
-Bible (always carried with me)
-The Complete Idiot's Guide to Statistics (Second Edition, 395 pages)
-The Personality Puzzle (Eighth Edition, 1,890 pages)
-Black folder with:
--stacks of paper: blank, lined and grid
--APA Guide to Formatting a Paper (Winter 2020)
--APA Guide to Referencing (Winter 2020)

I carry all that on my shoulder, every day. I literally take my office with me and that's why it's fekking heavy!! Oof...

Cameron:
She narrows her eyes at you but then purses her lips in an obvious thought of understanding. Her voice is like velvet and soothing to the ear, "You are telling the truth. Afterall you don't look like you are apart of our troops. I am sure you can figure out this is my room but I feel you are asking more on the grand scale of things. You are in Arcanium, the country would be Avalon. Beyond that it probably won't matter to you. Oh you are not on Earth anymore would be hero." She laughs at that as she walks into the room and powders her nose at the vanity. Looking back up at you she offers, "I could lighten your load, say give me half of your books and I will escort you out of hear alive and healthy. Or you could go see the Overlord?"

Cameron's luck: 1d2 ⇒ 2 Actually I am going to let you do it, I forget too often. Each round you may apply the luck bonus to a roll, other than damage. Also certain times I will roll for it and it may drastically affect the situation.

Sounds good Cameron.

Spoilerino:

Earth! Now there’s a locator I recognize. I take it we are not on the fourth rock from the sun either, though I am particularly impressed that you know WHAT Earth is if you are not on it.
Ah, no. Sorry, I can’t give you these. But hold on a sec, I got an idea.
With that I turn my back partly from you and rummage through my bag a bit...
Craft check: 1d20 + 3 - 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 - 3 = 11
When I turn around again I have something small and delicate in my hands. Some things only last a moment, yet they can be captivating.
Within is a small, brightly coloured flower intricately shaped from sticky paper and shaped around a pen which I then hand to you.
It didn’t turn out that great but I hope you enjoy. I shrug.
Oh, what’s this about an overload? You got me thinking, I should really probably be trying to keep a lower profile, at least until I can get my bearings about me. I wouldn’t want to be talking to the people I shouldn’t be saying yes to. Any chance you could help me with that?

How’s this for a compromise? I roll a luck die for each post that has dice rolls in it, then I must use that luck roll on one of the other rolls in that post, my choice if there are multiple rolls. Per-post would be a lot easier to keep track than per-round. Exempting damage makes sense, but what about saves? It could get rather zany :/ could be fun too...

Cameron:
"No its you who don't understand the situation. Come follow me." She says walking through the door. Outside you can see blood splatter and piled up bodies. Along the wall you see furry men with Hyena heads. They laugh at you like a hyena would holding all sorts of melee weapons. Blood is on most of their muzzles. She opens a door that is much more majestic than the doors before and you see three very interesting sights. In the center of this throne room is a throne made of skulls and weapons. Upon it is a figure with a royal purple cloak over its shoulders and a dark bronze full plate suit of armor. It looks up at both of your entrance to the room, its dark red glowing eyes are the only things you can see in the shadowy helmet. A glass bottle easily twice your size is to the left of the throne. Upon it is a heavily muscled man attached to it by chains. Under the bottle is a floating orb with eyes all over it. The third thing is a statue of a woman that looks almost translucent, maybe she is made of glass.

The Overlord laughs and says, "And what fool do you bring me? An Earthling?"

Works for me.

Finished up my character sheet:

Hia! Sorry I haven't posted in a bit but I wanted to pound through and get my crunch completely finished, and I did! (well, except 2 things...) I figured that we are heading into a part where I am going to need to use skills and abilities so I needed to know what those skills and abilities were. >__>

Just doublechecking; we effectively have 2 Expert levels of hp and skills? For hp I used max for lvl 1, average +1 after that. Good enough?

FCB:
Is it alright if I took the Orc's FCB (Mutagen lasts 10 min longer/lvl)? Doing everything I could do to prolong my mania was exactly what I used to do. If not, I will take Monk as my FCB (+1/4 Ki).

My last Feat:
I haven’t spent my last feat. Iwas wondering if I could save it until I gesalted with Monk? (on the assumption that eventually happens...) Basically all of the feats I want from here on out require Imp. Unarmed Strike. :/
If not I could take Additional Traits or maybe Desperate Battler.
Additional Traits: Gain Helpful (Combat) and Quick Learner (Equipment) as additional Traits.
Helpful: Grant a +3 bonus when using Aid Another.
Quick Learner: Non-proficiency penalties on weapons are reduced by 2 after the first swing. You must "relearn" the weapon each time you pick it up.

Desperate Battler: Gain +1/+1 while there are no allies within 10ft and you are not benifiting from the Aid-Another action.

I’ll get to responding now :)

Yep. I gotta admit you are right. Whatever I was expecting... This wasn’t it... I muse out loud as we walk towards the grander door. Once inside I take a look around and whistle (well, try to whistle).
Perception: 1d20 + 8 - 3 ⇒ (7) + 8 - 3 = 12
But I get a little too distracted by the throne to really look around and muse to myself A bit fond of Warhammer eh?

However, once I think I am close enough to be within earshot range I keep quiet while standing alert and attentive. I am generally waiting to see how things play themselves out.
delaying for now

Cold Cameron you should have 3 class levels and 2 expert levels. To a total of 5 for you. So add two levels of monk. Do not count your expert levels towards your total of feats. So for levels you should have a total of 2 feats.

Originally we just did the hp and skill points. So you guys are getting a bit of a boost until you are gestalted.

Cameron:
"Yes a Chosen that somehow was placed within my wardrobe... say your name and intentions. Obviously you are not looking for my panties." She states and walks over to the throne and holding onto one of the wooden pole of a spear exposing her ample cleavage.

The figure in the armor shifts and raises one of its arms, in a deep male voice it asks, it is hallowy likely from the helmet,"First I want to know what wish you made with Alethia."

Apparently all of the players just want a dungeon... done.

Spoilsport:
You know as time goes on I am becoming increasingly convinced that if I was transported to a fantasy world as I am (and not as an idealized character) I wouldn’t survive very long. :p
Ha! I bark out a short laugh, I didn’t say I became insane, I said that I regained my sanity. And there is an unique clarity that can come with such an experience.
I take a quick glance around the room, If I were to hazard a guess, you bought your throne with meat and threat? If so, would not hope be your greatest threat? Clarity of thought can be a most useful fulcrum on which to steer that which lays under thrones, but as I said, I do not yet know which questions to ask; what words you need, what words are just noise.

Even so, the Lady Morgana still raises her hand.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 8 + 3 = 27
I stand, arms low at my side,
May I ask what the Lady Morgana intends with that?
I ready an action to fight defensively and dodge to the side if I perceive it to be something I can dodge.

I thought I submitted this yesterday, but it didn’t seem to have sent. I had to re-write it. :/

Cameron:
Morgana stops at the words you say giving you 15 feet of wiggle room still. You aren't sure what the black miasma is but you are sure it is not good.
Instead full defense might be better. Fighting defensively as a readied action implies you are going to attack her.

You hear a whisper of a voice enter your ears, "Five choices are yours to make. Plead for mercy from Morgana, Prove your worth for the Overlord, Pull a chain to free the muscled man to the left, Please the imprisoned female to the right, or Protract yourself back to an unseen option."

It happens to all of us. Make sure to copy. Post. Double check it works and says what you want.
