Back on other topics, specifically Sphere of Might, the one thing it does really really awesome, is let you play a Luchador or Show Wrestler. It's like Tetori++.

M Humanborn

possible spheres of might idea

PoW is more suitable to casting fist. Broken Blade hella OP.

The unarmed options in SoM are pretty alright as far as balance goes.

M Humanborn

i've actually had (comparatively) widespread success in getting folks to allow SoP/SoM. Only in this game have i seen PoW, and one other short-lived game on the boards. Once in an IRL game, but that didn't last long.

Anyone in any other good games these days? I’m looking for a new one, but thus far haven’t found anything overly interesting.

M Humanborn

mine all seem to be dying except my Aubrey games

Yea. That's kind of my issue too. They all seem to die so often that i'm a bit loathe to even submit level 1 characters. At least building a higher level character is fun from a theorycrafting standpoint.

That are recruiting too? No.

Out of sheer curiosity, does anybody want to play a powerful(like artifact level) intelligent item that blends the personality of Uncle from Jackie Chan Adventures with Iroh?

I'm going to ask in a few games I'm in, to try and get the best choice :)

Interesting. What kind of powers?

Who's the wielder?

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

It's for this game I'm playing where you're pretty much allowed to make whatever sort of character you want.

I'm playing a mix between Loki, Hermes and Meggan(Marvel character), who is a super shapeshifter. He also has innate level 20 sorcerer casting, plus he's a gestalt 20 level druid/oracle.

But what's he like? What kind of roleplaying dynamic are you going for between the wielder and weapon?

Male Fae King Oracle 21(Elemental)/Druid 21

The premise of the game is all the PCs used to be normal, mundane mortals, on our Earth. We then all die, and wake up somewhere else. With all sorts of powers and abilities.

My PC(before he died) was John Smith from Kansas. Literally as boring and lame as possible even in name and home. His parents owned a rather large, successful farm, and so he was able to go to private school, had tutors, etc. Pretty much his whole life was scheduled and structured.

Then, one day, on his walk to work(as a CPA cuz lame city), he sees a small building catch on fire. People are fleeing the flames, and one of them stops to tell him her daughter is trapped inside. Knowing the firemen won't get there in time, he rushes in to save the girl, and does so, but dies in the process.

His uncle, the intelligent item, used to be a mortal as well, from medieval London, who stumbled into the First World, and ended up striking a deal with the Lantern King for two wishes. One for himself, and one for descendant.

He was a struggling author, so he his wish was to live long enough to write the most epic adventure story ever told, while the other wish was for his descendant to be the one to have the adventure.

The Lantern King turns him into a quill, which eventually becomes an ancient fountain pen, complete with fancy blue feather, that is passed down from generation to generation.

John has the pen, which he considers his lucky pen, with him when he dies. Upon being reborn, the Lantern King infuses him with a portion of his power and spirit.

Personality wise, Liriiestil(which is his true name[but not True Name)]), will eventually be a daring, no fear, prankster trickster type. But also somebody who has a deep love for nature, and the elements.

The uncle, as I said, is a mix between Iroh and Uncle, and probably some Rafiki too. He is the opposite of Liriiestil in many ways, wise, patient, cautious, yet also encouraging of his nephew to go on and have adventures for him to write about.

He also has a sardonic, dry wit and humor. He has no problem transforming into a staff(Lir's preferred weapon) and smacking his nephew in the head for being a dolt, or doing/saying something dopey.

Does he nice if his own accord or is he reliant upon a weirder?

Personally I’d use a gem or something that can animate objects. Then the “body” is a statue or something. Possibly some sort of variant on that PRC that turns you into a statue. The name escapes me.

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

I'm going to use the Living Items rules from Four Horsemen Games. It's a really awesome set of rules that lets one play as an item(of pretty much sort), complete with a 20th level class.

It provides most of the basic abilities of an intelligent item, as well as flight and a host of other powers.

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Hey party people, the game I mentioned above is in need of new players, and since ya'll are some of my favorites, and this is the easiest way to reach everyone at once, I came here to ask if anybody would like to join us in our whacky adventure:

Welcome to the Other Side

Some notes:

Gestalt, tristalt and morestalt is totally OK.

Path of War, Spheres of Power/Might, Psionics, etc all are allowed.

Same with 'monsters', though I think the GM might prefer more humanoid PCs.

You can be whatever level you want. We had a level one commoner, who had all the immunities of the Tarrasque, but no offensive abilities whatsoever, lol

We've lost a few players(just went MIA), and had to kicked out one problem player. I had let the GM know awhile ago that I was going to look into getting some new blood, and you all were the first I thought of, as I like to think we all have a good rapport, you guys have some great characters(in this and other games we've shared), and I also trust you all to be good players :)

So, out of the player base there, who's actually still playing? I don't want to step on peoples toes and copy someone who's still playing.

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Assuming everybody is still around:

Vulture King

Zaidel

Alyssa

Kei

Liriiestil(me)

Lucas

Also, Qillion just joined, but her player is someone I have had serious issues with, so he's sort of on probation.
