Male Human Black Blooded Metal Oracle 3 HP: 22 | AC:18 T: 13 FF: 15 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +3 | Perception: +0 Initiative: +3

Amos, quietly mentions the goblins to Sir Tristan.

Human Wizard 2 / AC 16/ HP 12/ Perception +2 / +2 Proficiency Bonus

Mordechai notices the goblins and steps back out of the way of the warriors, knowing that the crusader will want to slay the little devils as soon as he sees them. He brings to mind a cantrip which will create a bolt of fire which he can shoot at one of the creatures, if that becomes necessary.

NPC: M

I think I missed something, as one of our heroes was watching the "treeline" and then a Perception check was called for, now I think we've opened the door, and see Goblins in the castle, in a passageway. Is this correct?

HP:[22/22] / AC: 15 / SPD 30 / INIT +2 / darkvision /PassPerc 14

perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Nazskab standing guard out front is unaware of any further activity until it is mentioned. He shoulders his bow and gently draws his sword and shield. He quietly moves towards the doorway and peers down the hall.

How much distance is between us and the goblins walking away?

Male Human War Cleric 2

Tristan reaches for his mace but then realizes he is already holding it. "What is the plan then?" he whispers to the others.

NPC: M

Artegallio reaches for Tristan's mace, but then realizes Tristan is already holding it, and then tightens his grip on his staff

Plan? he says nervously, There ain't no plan.

Male Human Barbarian 2

Yes, I was watching the trees, not the door. It makes sense that I wouldn't have noticed the goblins behind it.

HP:[22/22] / AC: 15 / SPD 30 / INIT +2 / darkvision /PassPerc 14

Nazskab stands with his back to the wall next to the entrance. He looks over and whispers, "Range or stealth?"

Male Human Black Blooded Metal Oracle 3 HP: 22 | AC:18 T: 13 FF: 15 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +3 | Perception: +0 Initiative: +3

Amos gets out his Bow, then leans over to wisper to Nazskab. How about a bit of both?

Male Human War Cleric 2

Taking his cue from Amos, Tristan also puts away his mace and readies a crossbow bolt.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

(I got the Monstrous Manual for D&D 5th Edition, boys.)

Range: 70 ft.

They seem to be walking down the hall, away from you, giggling over a joke only they knew. Their bodies are starting to fade in the darkness. Soon, you won't be able to shoot with a crossbow or any kind of bow because you won't know what you'll be shooting at.

NPC: M

Artegalio whispers...

Shooting an enemy in the back? not very Knightly,if you ask me. Perhaps we should wait a moment longer, and then explore cautiously, before making any hasty decisions.

HP:[22/22] / AC: 15 / SPD 30 / INIT +2 / darkvision /PassPerc 14

"They are not aware of us as yet. But some of us are louder than others and may not be so easily concealed once inside. At this distance we might be better off waiting til we can outright prevent them from raising alarm."

Male Human Black Blooded Metal Oracle 3 HP: 22 | AC:18 T: 13 FF: 15 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +3 | Perception: +0 Initiative: +3

Agreed, lets precede cautiously.

Male Human War Cleric 2

Sir Tristan looks over at the druid. "In the wars against the heathen, chivalry became old-fashioned very rapidly." He whispers, but lets his crossbow fall, nodding to the others.

Male Human Barbarian 2

"Chivalry is how you tell the weak man from the strong." says Brian before stalking in the direction of the goblins.

Human Wizard 2 / AC 16/ HP 12/ Perception +2 / +2 Proficiency Bonus

Mordechai shakes his head and mutters something in hebrew under his breath, but otherwise does not comment. He does motion down the corridor as if to as, 'Are we going?'.

Stalking requires a move silently check.

You hear a creaky door open and then shut. It seems that the goblins had gone through a door.

Male Human Barbarian 2

Brian will walk into the room without sneaking, as he is not a thief.

NPC: M

Artegallio will follow Brian, closely...Do we need light? Is it too dark to see yet?

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

(yes) It is getting darker, but torches line the walls.

HP:[22/22] / AC: 15 / SPD 30 / INIT +2 / darkvision /PassPerc 14

Nazskab watches Brian saunter off into the quickly dimming tunnel. There will be no room for ranged fighting now.
"PAH, thas more like it anyway."

He stows his bow and draws sword and shield alike.

Male Human Black Blooded Metal Oracle 3 HP: 22 | AC:18 T: 13 FF: 15 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +3 | Perception: +0 Initiative: +3

Amos Keeps his bow at the ready and moves stalkingly with the others.

stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Human Wizard 2 / AC 16/ HP 12/ Perception +2 / +2 Proficiency Bonus

Mordechai come up behind the rest of the party. He mutters a few words and a layer of force appears around his body.

Casts mage armour

Male Human War Cleric 2

Following suit, Tristan also switches to mace as he proceeds along with the party. He briefly examines one of the torch sconces to see if it can be removed.

NPC: M

Artegallio will attempt to be stealthy...

Stealthy Druid: 1d20 ⇒ 9

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

You seem to think your stealth works, and it works fine except for one slight problem.

Goblin Perception 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Goblin Perception 1d20+1

Someone hears you. "Who's there!" says a goblin voice!

Male Human War Cleric 2

Tristan looks around the party, seeing if anyone will respond.

Human Wizard 2 / AC 16/ HP 12/ Perception +2 / +2 Proficiency Bonus

Mordechai targets the goblin with his sleep spell, hoping to catch the other goblins in the spell as well.

5d8 ⇒ (3, 6, 8, 3, 7) = 27 hp of goblins put to sleep

Male Human Barbarian 2

How I answer will depend on whether or not they are asleep.

HP:[22/22] / AC: 15 / SPD 30 / INIT +2 / darkvision /PassPerc 14

With that roll he could have put 3 average HP goblins to sleep... so unless there are more than 3 they will be sleeping.

Male Human Black Blooded Metal Oracle 3 HP: 22 | AC:18 T: 13 FF: 15 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +3 | Perception: +0 Initiative: +3

Well come on then, lets not be all day, or night rather.

Amos motions to keep moving.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

About five of them do go to sleep.

Human Wizard 2 / AC 16/ HP 12/ Perception +2 / +2 Proficiency Bonus

how many more are there?

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

That should be all of them in this section.

Male Human War Cleric 2

Sir Brackenbury relaxes his stance as he sees them fall asleep beneath the wizard's spell. He handles his mace as though contemplating mass murder of the goblins.

NPC: M

The way that fellow keeps tightening his grip on his weapon, makes Artegallio nervous. There is so much about the world he doesn't understand. He knows these men, some of them, have experienced war, while others have experienced oppression. His own life has been one of mostly tranquility, peace, hard work yes at times, but nothing ever informed him of the intricacies of battle, the complications of dealing with an enemy such as this is beyond his understanding. All he knows, at least all he thinks he knows, is that killing these sleeping goblins must be wrong. There must be some other way of dealing with them. Why are they here, what do they want. Would they kill him in his sleep, if they could, it is more than he can process

How dangerous are these small green people? Can they be forced to abandon this place, if we pressure them, show them our strength and intention? What can we do to show them that their presence here is unwanted, and that it would be best for all if they went back to where they came from?

Human Wizard 2 / AC 16/ HP 12/ Perception +2 / +2 Proficiency Bonus

Mordechai looks over at the crusader and grimaces.

"What stays your hand crusader? Your kind did not balk on the hill of Ayyadieh, outside Acre!"

The jewish mystic watches the man closely for his reaction.

HP:[22/22] / AC: 15 / SPD 30 / INIT +2 / darkvision /PassPerc 14

"The township has made it clear their presence is unwanted. Of course we don't know who is the real invader. These creatures may have been holed up here since before time and are now displaying the best behavior they know for unwanted neighbors."

Male Human Black Blooded Metal Oracle 3 HP: 22 | AC:18 T: 13 FF: 15 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +3 | Perception: +0 Initiative: +3

I do not believe that our beloved king would want them here. That is all that I care about. The good people of our county side must be protected. Also it won't make much of a story if we just let them be.

Male Human Barbarian 2

"Let us find their chieftain and put him to the task. I will not waste my strength on such an unworthy foe."

Male Human War Cleric 2

Tristan turns to the elven bard. "I agree with your assessment."

And with that simple statement he attempts to coup de grace the closest sleeping goblin with his mace.

Attack (Unconscious, Prone)
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 or 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 5) + 3 = 14

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

Ouch!

(the second roll succeeds) and you crack the goblin's skull open.

NPC: M

*hurph* ugh that is grisly work. I suppose, in the end, it is good that we are making the land safe for decent folk. I'm just glad that these knights are of the right stomach and mind for this sort of thing.
As soon as it appears we are done with this, I will be ready to press on

Male Human War Cleric 2

If it's possible, we can just wrap up by saying we killed them all. With at least two of us willing to do it, it should be easy to just gloss over.

ADDENDUM: In all honesty, I just wanted to look up the rules for attacking prone, unconscious enemies (or Coup de Grace if it existed)

Male Human Barbarian 2

You can count Brian out on murdering sleeping goblins. He's already pressing ahead, and if he finds that you did will probably lecture you on proper knightly behavior Tristan.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

Yes, you killed them all
(sorry for the slow response, I'm not having a good week. why I am vibrating out - My Family thinks I'm too weird for them - I have no idea, but my family relationships are on the rocks. This is what happens when you read real books of truth, and no body, NO BODY, close to you wants to know about it).

The tunnel leads to a door. It should be easy to open. To do it quietly requires a Sleight of Hand check. A cursory look by anyone should alert to you that the hinges are worn. So an application of oil will make them quieter.

Male Human War Cleric 2

I'm so glad I have a totally weird family. We've explored everything from Shinto Buddhism to Hebrew Roots "Christianity" to Ancient Persian Magic systems... lol. Throw in some Chaos Magick, Wicca, Witta, and good old High Magick Paganism, and we've been around the block a few times.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

Yeah. Well, when you learn you've been praying to "Satan" all the days of your life according to the Low Order of Prayer, and you learn that there is the High Order of Prayer, and you try to tell your family; they yell at you and you begin to regret your decision coming down to Earth amongst them in the first place. I live in an insane asylum. And the patients don't know that they have been sickened and blinded.
