Brian Mac Lugh |

Slamming into the icy cold water, Brian actually dives down a bit to avoid getting sucked into the wake of the ship.
Athletics to swim: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Kicking off like the strong swimmer he is, Brian surfaces about a yard away from the boat, and begins trying to get attention from the people on the ship.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Looks like I miss the fact of land nearby. bah.

EltonJ |

"Man over board!"
"Throw him a rope!"
Someone throws an elvish rope over the side towards you, Brian. No need to make a perception or awareness check, you automatically see it! The squall begins to break and the sea is less violent as before.
"I can see Dover, Captain!"

Sir Tristan Brackenbury |

After being drenched by the wave, Tristan makes his way over to where the elves are pulling Brian aboard and grabs hold of the rope to aid them.
"Show some effort, lads." ((Again, borrowing colloquialism from the DM))
With his wooden cross in his other hand, he makes a short prayer to the Savior, Jesus of Nazareth.

Mordechai of Leeds |

Mordechai gets up from where he had attempted to help the Templar from falling over the rail. The man did not even offer to a simple thanks, or even an acknowledgement, but that is the way of the gentiles. He returns to his place by the gunnels and awaits the ships landing.

Amos Windelton |

Let me tell you an inspiring story about the man that nearly drown, and then rowed to shore. Oh yea that was you.
Amos starts laughing.
I am giving a Bardic inspiration die to Brian Mac Lugh.

Nazskab Naffront |

Nazskab feels the closest thing to elation he has felt in a long time, only to be utterly deflated when he gets on deck. Not only does he have to get into an even smaller elven boat but there are no goblin forces awaiting his landing.
He looks around for this Gwendolyn the strange elf had asked them to protect but the bustle was too great on deck and he wanted to be off this ship now. He noticed the bard and barbarian loading up a dhingy and joined them with a leap.
"Row swift smooth skin! Goblins crave my sword this..." He stops short realizing Brian is soaked but seemingly in good spirits, "Why is it you have the appearance of having bathed recently? Did you offend the Elves to the point they had to drag you behind the boat?!" With this thought Nazskab develops a new respect for the barbarian as he scoffs over his shoulder back at the ship.

EltonJ |

On top of the white cliffs of Dover, four goblins watch the PCs row to shore. The mischievous little buggers from the Other World are but scouts. Seeing that new knights arrived from the holy land, they skitter and talk to each other in their strange language of corrupt Brythonic. Fortunately, the PCs can't hear them. But they can see one on a successful perception check without advantage or disadvantage.

Sir Tristan Brackenbury |

With hardly a word to anyone, his armor and clothing still drenched from the wave that crashed over him, Tristan makes his way to the rowboat and then to the shores of his homeland.
He kneels in the wet sand and thanks God loudly for safe passage.
"Complications arose, if you would have stayed above you could have helped deal with them." He says to the half orc without turning toward him.
He scans the cliffs for any sign of trouble.

Brian Mac Lugh |

"Fear not, serrah orc, While the sea wished to make but friends with me, in the end she knew that she could not contain me, so she set me free to be about my business" says Brian while rowing like a madman.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Brian is so focused on rowing that he is paying no attention to the world around him.

Nazskab Naffront |

Nazskab sloughs off the comment from the armored cleric. He had braved the sea on smaller vessels with less help than his grim demeanor normally gained. At the mention of goblins Nazskab follows Amos' outstretched arm to the cliff top where the goblin scouts stood. He sees nothing, though his mood is greatly improved with the thought of forthcoming battle.
perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
"Where is our path? Let's be off lest they rain rocks down upon us before we start."

Amos Windelton |

"I have a longbow, but I think we need to get closer. Come on lets follow the heathen. "
Amos pulls out his longbow, but fires a firebolt from his free hand, directed at one of the goblins. He then charges up behind Brian Mac Lugh.
If this hits I would be super surprised. But what the heck.
Firebolt: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

[dice=Firebolt]1d20+6
[dice=damage]1d10
You fired before I can name an advantage or disadvantage. Oh well.
Miss.

Mordechai of Leeds |

Mordechai shakes his head at the antics of these goyim.
He takes note of the elf who fired the flame from his hands.
Hmmm..now that one will need some watching, I think! Why do these fools rush to battle when, if they were slower, they might just by pass it...oy vey!
Mordichai follows along at a slower pace, using his magic to clean and straighten his clothes as he moves off the beach on climbs the track to the interior.

Nazskab Naffront |

Scaling the cliffs would not be to our advantage against even a small number of goblins, Nazskab thinks to himself as he un-slings his shield and draws his sword.
"Let us move farther inland and expect a trap from this filth."
He heads towards the path on the ready.

Brian Mac Lugh |

Brian moves to the base of the cliff and immediately begins climbing, his muscles bulging as he springs from handhold to handhold.
I'm gonna rage to help me get up the cliff and punch some goblins.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 61d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 looks like I get a 14 to climb the cliff

Amos Windelton |

Is there any other way around other than climbing? There must be a path?
If i can just get to the top so I can line up a shot with my bow.
